Place: nh Comments: J.D., I wasn't there, so I won't thank you for the cheese and sausage. I know that it must have been enjoyable. Lonnie, the video posted on FB is wonderful....nice to see all of the faces.
Place: Sachse Comments: JD, I would have thanked you for the cheese and sausage but when we got there at 3 pm, there wasn't any so I did not realize you had sent some. It must have been great to be gone so quickly. So thanks anyway.
Place: 77 WISCONSIN Comments: First, I want to thank Ms McMakin for being the delivery person for the Wisconsin cheese and sausage package...since I couldn't make it to the mini due to the potential delivery of our 3rd Grandson (still waiting) I felt compelled to at least send something that I thought everyone might enjoy...obviously not enough sausage...Jack, I'll send you a personal package and make sure there is sausage for your tasting pleasure. The shirt was not an afterthought...I've had it for over a year. And yes, the cows in Wisconsin tip over much easier due to the amount of Brandy on the Rocks they drink each day before they give their milk to the farmers. Hope you can wear it around your grandchildren as they will then wonder about your friends and be concerned if they have anything between their ears...which most of us don't, i.e., Mr. McGoo...LOL Sorry I couldn't make it but will be there for the Reunion (God Willing) and planning on coming early enough so we can get usual suspects out for a round of golf... Glad everyone had a good time.
Place: 66erville Comments: Had a great time at the gathering, Saturday. It was good to see all who were able to join us. Missed those who could not. Thanks for the shirt, JD. I guess no cow tips like a Wisconsin cow, HUH? The cheeses were good too. Sandy Mc provided crackers that went with the cheese very well. I heard that there was sausage too, but I never saw it. You think Sandy Mc handed it out sparingly? Note to Jerry Tillery: I told the bartender to add Gentleman Jack to his stock before the reunion or lose a lot of business.
Place: Richardson Comments: Toni - I have an extra table w/4 chairs & a loveseat in my dinning rm. Can I store them at your house?
Place: Sachse Comments: I give a thumbs up on the Double Tree location as well. And it really was good to see some we haven't seen in a while like Ronnie Bush and his wife Nell, Dane Thornton, Mike Dunn and Bill and Jeanne. Hope to see many more at the Reunion this fall. Toni, hope you two get some "elbow room" as soon as possible. Sounds claustrophobic.
Place: Garland Comments: Sounds like everyone liked the new location for the mini. Loved the pictures Lonnie Harmon posted on Facebook. Sorry we couldn't make it but we were a little busy. Not only do we have a garage full of furniture, I now have a family room full of furniture for two families...not to mention a guest room and dining room for two families, and three refrigerators in one garage! Phew, I'm ready for Bruce's son's family to arrive. Did I mention that they are shipping two vehicles to our house as well? We are supportive parents to a fault!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Glad ya'll enjoyed it at the Double Tree!! I had a good time too. We missed our regulars like Charles M, Coasty Don, KRL & Bobby, Toni & Bruce, RoseMary & others. But we were delighted to see Ronnie & Nell Bush, Mike Dunn, Jeanne & Bill & Dane T. Also Lonnie Harmon frm 64 came & helped me take pictures!! Thanks Lonnie! I'll get mine labeled & posted by tonight. We had 30 people at the mini Sat & 15 of us went to dinner afterward. Good times with good friends!!!
Place: FW Comments: SNL, I like the Doubletree. Quite nice. I'm sure we'll enjoy it next fall. The mini yesterday turned out well. Lots of folks showed up. Even Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Bush and Mr. Dane Thornton who is looking as fit as a fiddle!
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Sorry we were late and missed some of you guys, yesterday. For those who don't know, a battery went out in my Prius. Taking care of that took top priority. I was panic stricken because batteries in a Prius can be quite expensive. I lucked out. I called the dealer. They told me it was probably the battery that runs everything in the car (like all cars have). Of course, Toyota put it in the back and in an impossible place to find. I called AAA. They sent their Prius specialist out who installed a new battery; and, the price was quite managable. WHEW! Were we ever relieved. We jumped in the car and raced down to Richardson. Glad we got to see some of you guys and enjoyed going to dinner with you afterwards. Susan Sunde and Sandy Lynn, you are fun to sit by during dinner. Thanks for the good time. Just wish we could have gotten there earlier and seen more people. For those of you who left early, when I walked in, I was walking over to tell SNL hello when I saw a man waving and smiling at me. It was my best friend from when I worked at Ericsson. He is from England and named Craig Winder. He was teaching a computer class at the hotel. I haven't seen him for about 5 years or more. I almost fell over backward. Was GREAT seeing him. I was telling him about the people from SOC. When I mentioned Bovie, he said he used to buy his insurance from Bovie but had never met him. I called Bovie over and introduced him to his former customer. Bovie was almost speechless (for once). The three of us had fun sharing stories about one another.
Place: Doubletree Bar Comments: Ms. SNL, thanks for setting up the mini yesterday. Cold beer and lots of laughs as always. It was good to see our hard head officer D.P. Thornton looking fit and mean as ever. Did you notice Cable Guy Fugate's new hair doo? I think he joined the Mafia out west. Don't owe him money. Sudden Sam Smith, retired, watching t.v. and keeping his bride happy. gotta love that fella. Mike Dunn, good to see you guy. Thanks for joining us. Put a sticky note on Ms. Sandra Mc. What a Blondie memory...... Sorry I had to leave early. Four grandson's were waiting on me. See everyone at the big shindig.
Place: Richardsonq Comments: Uh Oh . . . Mike reads the GB!!
Place: Southern California Comments: Nope, she is holding down the fort at home!
Place: Big R Comments: No, there wasn't any "we" in the conversation. It was singular! Sd he was coming in last night & wanted to make sure we were still having the mini & where it wd be. Sd he wd try & make it Sat. Bn a busy wk . . . hope to see lots of the usual, and the not so usual, grp tmo at 2:00!!!
Place: 66erville Comments: We're gonna miss ya, Shortcake. But at least by not coming you will foil John Southwort's wish for SNL and me to get our butts kicked. You could rent a wheelchair (you'd be a real shortstack then) and wheel around running over people. Did your doctor give you a handicap badge for the RV for now?? Take it easy for now and rest up for the reunion. SNL, did Mike say if Mrs. Dunn will be joining us too?? |
