Place: Calif. Comments: Having a time with the Litchfords this week. Had sweater-weather lunch in Balboa, from 100 degrees in Dallas. Carol's been beating me up with her anti-Obama tirades.....she's doing you folks proud. Deryl says "hey".
Place: LV, TX Comments: Prayers & sincere best wishes for Bill Smith's speedy recovery & return home to Jeanne's loving arms.
Place: Sachse Comments: I'm glad the reports are good so far on Bill Smith. I pray that he will be as good as new in no time at all. Love to you Jeanne and Bill.
Place: Richardson Comments: Charles Moss cld & Bill Smith, Jeanne's Hsbd, had a stroke yesterday. They're still running tests, but Jeanne sd so far all tests have come back positive & Dr.s say it's looking good. Will know more by tmo afternoon. I will keep Jeanne & Bill in my thoughts & pray for a good outcome. Please keep them in your prayers as well.
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, Everett's Em has been hacked & I got one of the weird Em. But we shouldn't post the em link here. But I can tell you it definite wasn't from Eve. Don't ever open Em from someone, even a friend, that has an unbelievable message! Eve is not in Cyprus!!
Place: Richardson Comments: I got some cute pics from Toni of her G-kids, will take down current & post hers late Sun. Don L - Sorry for the stern scolding. Barb & I are working out butts off calling, meeting & emailing vendors to get the best price & provide everyone with a really great experience. Heck, we're negotiating like two tourist in a Mexican Flea Market! It would be nice to know that people are interested in attending!! ![]() I don't know if anyone noticed, but we are the only class that kept our reunion prices the same as they were 5 yrs ago! Our reunion is also the least expensive to attend than any of the others! I'm pumped & can't wait for the reunion so I can see everyone & have another great time. Remember 5 yrs ago? We had one heckava time. ![]()
Place: LV, TX Comments: Yee-ouch, SNL! The previous message was brought to you by "She Who Must Be Obeyed!" (SWMBO) ![]() Seriously, thanks for the additional reminder - time is getting very short. OK, I'll dig the storage boxes out of the closets & try to find those name tags also.
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, it was exciting to see some new names registering (some we found since our 40th). But I guess if others don't want to register in time for the Free room or choose to pay more by paying later . . . I should leave them alone. As Jerry Tillery said, "The fewer people who pay early, the better my odds for winning the free room!" Well said Jerry!
Place: Sachse Comments: Wow SNL, I am so glad to hear that some of our classmates who didn't make the 40th reunion are coming to the 45th. That is great. I hope many, many more will come.
Place: Richardson Comments: Ya'll sure seem to be napping lately! Whether you're a poster or a lurker - FYI: the 45th reunion invites were mailed 6 wks ago tda! Registration is slow. You need to get your money in the mail by 6th of July if you want to be in the drawing for a Free room for both nights! Also, to get the big discount being offered, your envelope must be postmarked by July 6! 4th of July is next weekend, so quit procrastinating & do it! Good news, 4 couples & 3 singles that didn't attend the 40th have registered for the 45th! Lots of you have returned your name badges too!! Thank you! So for you procrastinators - let's get with it. . . Register! ![]()
Place: Sachse Comments: SNL, the new photos of the triplets are so cute. They are really growing and it looks like they really enjoyed themselves. Grandkids are among the best things God has created. Looking forward to my new neighbors, Jack and Glynda, getting settled in and having a big cookout (subliminal hint) for all.

Place: Richardson Comments: TNX for the info JS. Glad to hear you & Smiley's are safe, but hate you haven't gotten any rain at all. We got rain both Mon & Tue nights! This wk has bn such a welcome break from the 100 to 104 temps we suffered for 7 straight days! Supposed to back to 100's this wkend. Jack - TNX for the tip abt Joe's. I know exactly where old Chuck's is & we will go there as much closer than Addison. I take it your home DSL isn't working yet. Did the move Sunday go OK? Did you get everything cleared out of the old hse yet? I thought abt ya'll Sun bec our last two moves were both in Mid-July when it was 101 & 102!!! You'd think us native Texans would know better!!!
Place: Work Comments: Glad to hear Dale's and John's places are safe. SNL, from the 63 site, you don't have to go to Addison for Joe's Italian. There is one at Coit and Arapaho. It is in the old Chuck's building. GREAT food and service!! 4 Stars!! Prices are very reasonable. It is a place worth going.
Place: The Woodlands, TX Comments: I spoke with Dale yesterday and he said the ranch has managed to avoid both rain and fire so far. He reported that he and Yuvonne attended a nearby rodeo and got soaked by a storm, but none of it made it south to their ranch. So far in my area, the wildfires are up around Huntsville 45 miles north of us; and the fires are maybe 20 miles west of Conroe. So we are high and dry for now. I did see where they were forced to close I-45 north of Huntsville for a couple of hours because the smoke was so thick you couldn't see ahead on the highway. Caused quite a backup with the traffic. Tomorrow we have a 60% chance of rain. I'll believe it when I see it. The heat wave is putting the kibosh on my geocaching and metal detecting adventures.
Place: Richardson Comments: Posted some new Grandones on the Pride & Joy pg. The Triplets had a great time with us last week, so put up 2 pics from the first day when we went to the zoo. |
