Place: 66erville Comments: Happy Birthday to Dale and Don!! Karen MD, I heard that the Chuck E Cheese in the Houston area were having spelling bees this week. First place prize was 50 tokens and a "I spell better than you do" ribbon. Dale thought it read "I smell better than you do"!! And, of course, the winner gets bragging rights too.

Dale & Don – Hope you had a great day & were able to kick-back for some celebration with loved ones. Dale - I wondered if you might get a fuzzy hat with antlers as a gift from Yuvonne (returning the one you gave her a while back). Don – We thought of sending a crew of yard laborers & lawn care experts over to help out, but I guess we’re too late – again. Best wishes to you both, today & for many more happy ones in the future!

Toni, Mike and I are planning to attend Gordy's July 4th party on Monday (especially since you are bringing your banana pudding). Yummm.

Ok, ok, I won't wear all white this year but go easy on me please....I might melt That's easy for you to make all those demands, Shortcake, when you're going to be lounging in the rolling rolls royse! Okay, who all is planning to go to Gordy's?? SNL, tell Gordy I'll be bringing my banana pudding, and that we won't be saving a drop for Shortcake.

Place: Carthage, TX Comments: We met James and Kay Kidd in Longview last night for supper and had a really good visit. They also are planning on making the 45th in Sep/Oct.

Place: Garland Comments: Jack -unfortunately we are going to Kerrville on Friday and will miss Gordy's but I personally believe that since you have warned Toni about wearing white that she is fair game!!!  Sorry Toni!!!! I know I am on the girls team but you can't keep hiding behind that "I am wearing white thing"Also - that party does not get you out of your house warming - I sure his house does not look like your!!!!! I will check with my Dr. on that knee thing with golf - not sure it applies but I will ask him - I think pool guy is jacking with ya'll!!!!!   
Place: usa Comments: Thanks for the welcome Happy Jack. Many fond memories to include the very hot, summertime band practices. Living in Alabama now (retired from federal government). I do remember Southworth. Probably many more of you also. My association with SOC was probably from the mid 50s until Bill (brother) was a sophomore (1960-1961?) When I think of SOC, the first 2 folks who come to mind are Larry Libby and Sammy Pettigrew (can't recall their years at SOC). Probably butchered their names. I graduated from Kimball in 68. If ya'll have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them. later, rick
Place: Richardson Comments: t/w Charles this mrng & he theard from Bill late yesterday as they were leaving hospital & on the way home! They have him on lots of meds to thin his blood & going to have PT regularly. His speech is still a little slurred, but better then a few days ago. Prayers for his continued improvement & for his health to be restored!
Place: 66erville Comments: Well Jim, I guess that is a possibility except it only seems to happen when the pool guy or Bovie is speaking so I kinda think it is them. (Is SNL paying you for this??) CONGRATS SAM!!! Besting Dale, good job. Not to take anything away for your victory, but he is slowing down, you know. Southworth told me Dale was out "hunting" and he was going so slow that the buzzards were circling him. |
