The BMF Project was started in memory of Brandon, who drowned at Lake Ray Hubbard November 29, 2008. It was conceived by Brandon's parents and brother, as a means to make the tragedy of losing a son and brother into something positive.

The BMF Project is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is to raise funding and resources for search and rescue agencies to have the necessary technology, equipment, and training to effectively perform their jobs. We support not only the groups that worked so hard during the 29 days Brandon was missing, but the goal is to help as many Search and Rescue (SAR) organizations as possible in support of their efforts. Along with this, educating the public on the water safety and hazards that many are not aware and providing emotional support to families who go through a search and rescue event are functions of The BMF Project.

Yes, we did get a slow light rain/misting her in Richardson yesterday!!  It was heavenly!  I heard it lightly hitting the roof abt 5:00am.  It lasted until abt 9:30, but it was cloudy all day long.  No sunshine! It actually felt like a September morning just after Labor Day when the heat subsides a little.  Some of the towns N. & W. of us got more than the little bit we got here. But the heat is coming back with a vengeance this wk, bk to 102 & higher.  Fall can't come too soon this yr.

In other news, I found out yesterday that David Hamm remarried very recently.  He e-mailed a while back that he was going to, sometime in Aug., but I wasn't able to get a response to my request for details - who, when, where, etc.  So, I wasn't the best man or even an attendee this time.

She's apparently an Okie, so I guess things will get a bit interesting during TX/OU weekend - Jack knows about that.  Anyway, the newlyweds left Seattle this weekend for an Alaskan cruise.  So, I parked a v-mail on his cell with an interrogatory - WTH, etc.  I may hear something after they get back home, which is now in Mansfield, TX.

SNL: I'll try to get him to hurry up on registering for the reunion, or at least get an update on his contact info - we'll see.

It'll be OK, Shortcake - we've been suffering just fine w/o you.  But we saved you some, so get ready to hang-up your coat for a while.

Sheryl e-mailed yesterday that Denton & Dallas both got some rain.  Someone else I spoke to said Waxahachie got a light sprinkle.  But no so for us further south - still parched.

I'll be washing the truck shortly, so I can pretend by spraying a little up in the air overhead.

Yesterday was really awesome - we went up in a glider over Durango.... absolutely beautiful... the day before we went on a hummer trip up into the mountains.... only bad thing was we had some people with us from abilene, TX and everytime we got close to the edge of the road to mother and daughter started screaming -mover over!!!!  Then we saw an animal and the lady thought it was a "platipus"  I told the driver they were from a totally different part of TX.  Unfortunately we have to head home today - back to the real world. and the heat.  See ya'll soon.

Jack. Take $300.00 to the casino with the attitude you're going to lose it. Did just that and brought back $1,100.00.
Play slots only and bet the max on the first try.
Problem is Kohl's is having a sale and I haven't seen Sarah since 9:00 this morning. Oh well at least she left me enough for a Mickey D's burger and fries.
