Place: nh Comments: Welcome to Caleb Joseph Wingate born this morning at 6:17 AM 7 lbs 5 ozs 19 inches Congrats to Judea, Joe and Sophie!
Place: Richardson Comments: Sandra, so glad you & Linda have made finding the perfect outfit for the SOC Hop a priority!!! I found my stuff about 3 - 4 months ago. Sounds like ya'll have had a blast finding what you wanted!! What happened to the kitty? Was it a stray? Is it an orphan? Did you feed it? Where is it? KRL - Chase has had some really bad accidents with football. I agree, his football career should be over! The 3rd time won't be the "charm"! See if he will take up badmiten... it's much safer! Just glad his injuries are not life threatening & he will recover, albeit with a rod in his leg!! Coasty Don - How you doing? Are you starting to move around any better & is the pain subsiding?
Place: Cypress Spring Comments: We found a surgeon in Dallas .... and he will be having surgery this afternoon... and yes this pretty much ends his football career completely. They will have to put a rod in next to the bone to stabilize the leg.
Place: DS Comments: Karen, so sorry to hear about your grandson. Bless his heart. I guess he will be out the rest of the season. Ronney, congratulations on your future grand daughter. I know you and Connie are excited. Had the best day ever, with a salt n pepper kitty at my door this morning. Thought I was going to be late picking up Linda, after playing with the kitty. He scampered off, then Linda called and ask me to be a few minutes late. What a best friend!, she knows I'm always late and she allowed me to be even later! Much success on our "vintage" shopping. Just one more day and I think we will be done. Jack, sorry we didn't make it to Plano. Gee, your offer was really hard to pass up ![]() Great day from morning till night ![]() Rick, I was in Duncanville around 10:20 this morning and it didn't rain at Linda's. Must have been north of 20.
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: So tonight we went to watch our grandson, Chase play football. This is his first game since his Dr. release him. He had a broken back and had been under a Dr.'s care. The second play that he was in he got shoved, came down wrong on his leg....he now has a broken tiblia and fibllia about four inches below his left knee....
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Sandy, I am glad to have this job. I am a Proposal Development Senior Analyst for Prescription Solutions (United Health Group). It is NOT an easy job. Being on the learning curve is very stressful...especially when no one is physically near to help. Working from home is nice in that I don't have to get dressed up, don't have to drive, and such. But, I have always worked in an office setting and enjoy the sound of others nearby. It gets awfully quiet here at home. And, when I get off work, I am still at the office. haha! But, I am beginning to get used to it. I have bonded with other employees across the country and they have been so helpful in teaching me things about the job. This week has been very stressful. Next week probably will be the same. But, that's part of a REAL job, isn't it? When I got this job, Connie took away my Prius, saying she needs it more than I do. I got her broken down old Saturn. So, I took it to the Toyota dealership in McKinney and got myself a RAV4. Love it. I found one that is 3 years old, had only 28,000 miles on it, top of the line, fully loaded, MINT condition, leather seats, sun roof, fantastic sound system. You name it. And, they sold it to me for the same price as the basic used model. They even threw in some other perks. Wonderful vehicle. So, things are going pretty darn well for me.But, I have been around the block enough. I know it can all come to an end in a heartbeat. So, I enjoy every second.
Place: Coppell Comments: Woke up this morning to thunder and lighting. Sarah and I ran to the living room and looked out the window to see huge drops of rain. It rained for about 10 minutes. Rats! I so wanted to mow my yard this morning, come into the house after feeling like I was in a sauna and looking like Houdini trying to take off my T-shirt. Congratulations Ronney and Connie. Grandkids are a gift from God. Don, suck it up buddy. Take the meds and kwitcherbelyakin. Hope you get better soon.
Place: FW Comments: Ronney, that's such great news about Lila! You and Connie are going to make terrific grandparents!
Place: bigD Comments: We got a few drops of rain in Duncanville, let it Rainman
Place: 66erville Comments: Congrats Ronney, Grandkids are the best!!. Don as an ole sea-dog CPO you should be used to a little pain in the a**, but try and take it easy for a while. Rushing back in the fray can end up undoing the fix. I was over at Mother's house (NW hiway and Plano Rd area) yesterday afternoon and she got a GOOD rain. We had a little rain shower this morning in Sachse. Just enough to cover the car good.
Place: Richardson Comments: Last night when the winds kicked up the temps dropped 11 degrees is 30 min!! It was wonderful! No rain but a relief just the same. This morning it was thundering & 77 degrees!!! We haven't seen 77 degrees since early June! Don went out to mow at 7:45am & all of a sudden . . . Huge RAIN DROPS starting falling!!! It never really covered the ground, but even a few drops & lower temps is a miracle during this sweltering, scorched and blistering summer!! Labor Day weekend is always the turning point for a weather change . . . can't come soon enough for the DFW area! Ronney - Looks like things are finally changing for you! I know you're excited abt the new G-dtr on the way & congrats on landing that full-time good job!! I think you started bk in June? I know you're happy abt giving up those part-time & weekend jobs & getting back to a normal work week! Glad the worm has turned for you!!
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Yeah, Ada, send some of that rain this way. We had a little this morning. Just enough to make us mad!!!! haha! Thanks, Ada and Linda. We are very excited and can hardly wait until little Lila arrives. (The name Lila is after my daughter-in-law's grandmother. Kathleen is after my daughter, Katie.) Katie (Aunt Sissy) is over-the-top excited!!!! Can hardly wait to share my grandbaby's pictures on this website.
Place: nh Comments: Ronney, A little girl....how exciting for Connie and you....and the rest of the family! I love the name, too! I guess we are in for a bunch of rain this weekend....we need it, but not as much as Texas does.
Place: Texas Comments: Ronney & Connie - congratulations that your d-i-law is having a girl. What a beautiful name your granddaughter will have. I know that you are so excited. Don - hope that you get well soon. Sometimes we have to have a redo to get it right. Sandra, are you going to sing the song to me tomorrow? I'm expecting it.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: My daughter-in-law had a sonogram this morning. Our grandbaby is a girl. They are naming her Lila Kathleen McKee. (Lila after my daughter-in-law's grandmother and Kathleen after my daughter). Needless to say, Connie and I can hardly wait until Jan. 10, when the baby is due. Sure glad I now have a job that gives me the weekends off. We are going to be driving to Abilene a lot, next year. |
