Don - I sure hope that pain will pass soon, hopefully w/i the next wk!  You sure need to have some pain-free days!!
I am astonished at the high temps you're having!  112*!!    My goodness!!     I think our high was 110 once or twice with a whole lot of 104s to 108s, but 112 multiple time . . . Yikes!  I'll try & push these clouds & scattered showers down your way.  Not a lot of rain but even these few sprinkles, combined with the clouds, seems like heaven the last two mornings.  Get Better Soon DL!!

Shortcake - Sending some healing prayers your way.  You can do chair dances, if table tops seem too risky!

KMD - Thanks for the well wishes - I'm optimistic.  It's a different kind of pain now than before.  Not the sharp, stabbing sciatica stuff, but deep bruising & burning instead. 

Some of the vets out there might recall what a gamma globulin shot felt like.  It was a very thick serum for heptatitis A that left blood in your skivvies & your butt sore for a week or so.  Sorta like the nurse/corpsman/medic had injected a golf ball into your glute!

SNL - BTW, we'll be glad when some of the D/FW local weather moves south & give us some relief.  I posted yesterday that we'd hit 108.  But, by the end of the day, we topped out at 112.  We also repeated that today!

I've told my hsbd & several of ya'll that come Labor Day weekend the weather would change & the heat would subside a little.   Got lots of pooh poohs frm everyone.  Oh Ye of little faith . . .  today I woke to a rain shower!!!  It's still cloudy & 77* as I type & another rain shower is taking place!!  Yeah!!!!!  The weekend forecast is for low 90's & rain.  The temps may go back up tmo, but today, Thank You Lord for the rain , the clouds & 77*!!!!!

Dale & Yuvonne - A very Happy Anniversary & congrats to you both!!!  Sure wish you'd resurface & contact me.  Apparently my msgs have fallen on deaf ears!!

H a p p y  41st  A n n i v e r s a r y !!! to Yuvonne Fox & Dale Smiley, today!  Notes say they were married in Dallas, TX, 1970.  Despite all the potential hunting ‘accidents’ & ‘gift hats’ (with antlers), it’s good to see you’ve both survived another year, despite the ‘free fire zone’ out there.  Major congrats & best wishes for many more!

Major congrats to Ada & Ronney on new grand-arrivals & those to be!  Our boys are sure taking their time, but I think there's a prospect for a #2 out there.

Well, our continuous record of over 100 degree temps was broken this past week when we had 1 day that it reached only 98.  Still no rain though & we're back up to 108 (sa far) today.

C'mon fall & winter!

Anyone interested in playing golf on Thursday before the Friday Night SOC Hop, give me a call or send a e mail. I think there is a group of the Da Bears golf group that will play. Buddy (Tin Cup) Capps is scheduled to come off the DL and is eligible to play.
I will call those registered and any others to see if they are interested.
I'll find a course close to the hotel, we'll tee it up, harass each other, and as a bonus you may get to ride with Cheezehead Garoutte
