Thought I'd give an update on the Reunion stats.

As of this morning, we have 25 rms booked at hotel for Fri night & 33 rms booked for Sat night!   We have 107 registered for Fri & 122 for Sat.  I only count rms and/or people when they actually register, not those that say they plan to.  The programs & events we've lined up for both nights are shaping up nicely & I believe everyone will thoroughly enjoy themselves on both nights!!

Discount room rates: They're only good until 9-15 !!
I must have your registration in my hands no later than 9-8 ! ! !   If you plan to attend  . . .  get it sent quickly.

TNX Richard, this article had more info than the one tda in the DMN.  These 2 guys wrote so many of the great songs for a multitude of artist.  They were especially good for Elvis as they wrote a plethora of his hits in the late 50's!! Music lost a creative soul.

We don't know their names, but we all know their music.  These guys wrote most of the music we grew up with....quite prolific.

Lots of illness being talked about....hope all you guys/gals are doing well.  I'm not sure I picked up the "clean underwear" story right.  I  guess the good news is everybody is at least wearing underwear.

Shortcake did your list say anything about writing your name in your clothes?? Might be the going to camp list! Bet they asked for a deposit too. Maybe Bobby is sending you away for rehab afterward. Oh, be sure to mark the correct knee for them. Might add a "this side up" note too.

Sandy Mc,   There is a "vintage" clothing store on southbound central (75) between Parker and 15th street. Come around noon and you can buy me lunch!

Shortcake,
Are you sure they didn't give you the "summer camp" Do's & Don't's List!!??

So you're going to have the surgery Aug 29th.  How soon can you be dancing after that?     seriously, take care of yourself & be sure to do your rehab, bec I want you to be feeling good for the reunion.  As Susan said, let us know which hospital & how long.  Will be praying for a successful surgery & a quick recovery.

Jack - no they did not say I had to shower alone (you are too late with that question!!!!) and I already sent your toothbrush back after I cleaned the shower!   KMD - I suggested the commando thing and the nurse just laughed ... I think they are going to ask the Dr  to operate on me elsewhere!!!!

Bishop Arts District, Lower Greenville..Lakewood area.  We've got a few more places to go Thursday.  The problem, all the clothes look like "adult" clothing and it's all the UGLY adult clothes.  We found some cute early '70's, as hemlines rise.  Most of the stores open at noon.  We were trying to go early because of the heat.  We ended up shopping from 10:00 to 5:00.  We were beat!

Shortcake, sounds like you don't need my toothbrush or underwear any more so please send them back. Remember, I tried to warn you about going to a vet. I know they are CHEAPER than MDs, but sometimes you gotta spend the bucks. Does taking TWO showers a day make up the ones one has missed? Does one bath equal two showers? Are you required to shower alone? How many times do you have to wash your hair? And be sure to trim your nails too.

Sandy Mc,  I gleaned out my closet this weekend and sent a lot of "vintage" clothes to the Good Will. Where did you go shopping?
I need to go there and restock. Howerever that might defeat the
purpose of the clean out.

Well Karen, you should surprise them and not wear any underwear and don't bother to brush your teeth.  Make sure you eat a spinach salad the morning of.  Someone must have told the doc about your vibrating toothbrush adventure. (see what you miss when you don't have dinner with us after the mini's)
Bobby, glad to heard Sarah had her surgery and pray that the prognosis is good.  Please keep us posted.
Sam, praying for you in the decisions you will be making.  And always for you Ms. Ada.
Birthday, anniversary and whatever else you maybe have celebrated....congratulations a little late
Linda and I went "vintage" shopping last Thursday and plan to go again this week.  I laughed till I made my nose run, tear ducts stopped up.  For me the highlight of our adventure was sitting down and looking at a 1966 Seventeen magazine together.  Boy did that bring back memories!

Shortcake, did the list say you could wear someone else's clean underwear?  It sounds like your doctor is Howie Mandel (extreme germ-o-phobe). Hope everything goes perfectly and your knee will be good as new.

Well Karen I wish you the best of luck with the surgery and hope you get well very, very quickly.  Do you know how long the surgery will last and how long you have to be in the hospital?  I'll be thinking of you and praying for you.  Be sure Bobby lets us know how it went.

Ok so I went to the hospital on Thursday and got the scoop  I have to be at the hospital next Monday at 5:30 am  yep that is usually when I am getting up.  This is the funny part - between now and then I cannot use anyone elses toothbrush  (who does that), have to take two showers a day and wear clean underwear the day of the surgery!   You would really think that they would not have to tell an adult that but there is a full page of dos and don'ts that I have to follow between now and then.  If the surgery does not scare you the list will
