Place: Coppell Comments: Congrats Ronney and Connie. Grand kids are a blessing. All, please pray for Sarah's sister Mary. We received a call this morning she was rushed to the hospital yesterday. She flat lined twice this morning and the prognosis is critical as she is on life support. Sam
Place: 66 Wisconsin Comments: A 23-year-old beauty queen from Kenosha, Wis., has won the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas. Laura Kaeppeler won the pageant Saturday night after strutting in a white bikini and black beaded evening gown, singing opera and answering a question about whether beauty queens should declare their politics by saying Miss America represents everyone.
The above is just in case you missed tonight's pagent.
Now...on to football. As most of you know, I have not talked much about the current NFL season. However, tomorrow night the PACKERS play the NY Giants...all I can say is Go PACK!!!
Place: Richardson Comments: The photos of baby Lila are posted. Ck out the newest, and adorable, Grandone on the P & J pg!! Congrats to Ronney & Connie on becoming Grandparents! I s/w David Mitchell late yesterday. He did get to come home Wed. He & Shirley are really tired & both need rest. 2 1/2 wks of rehab is tough! Starting Monday he will go to out-patient rehab twice a wk. He's doing pretty well except his foot on the bad leg is now swollen. Moving slow, but thankful to be HOME! He appreciates all the B-day wishes & hopes to be able to get on the pc soon.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Congratulations to Ronney and Connie! Looking forward to seeing Lila's picture(s). I love her name. Thanks for the explanation aboput the Cotton Bowl game, Jack. (...but I still hate to see traditions fade away.) James, my E-mail address has changed a little, but I can still receive messages under the old address for a bit longer - I think until we move our offices in February. I have included my new address here. Have a safe extended weekend, everyone! Love, Carol
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm very happy for ya'll. I'm sure you won't miss that long drive & being away from home for so long. You & Mary Ann may discover you actually have lots in common. Or I guess it could go the other way . . . only kidding! Thanks for the info, and yes, those darn numbers confuse me too. But then, I'm not a CPA!!! In the next month or so, why don't you send me a new photo of Avery & also one of Hunter. It's been a long time since we've seen them.
Place: Calif. Comments: I'm not fading......thinning a bit, but not fading. Remember I just found, or imagined myself...not sure anymore. No I don't have to drive north any more. They wanted to extend my contract another 2 years but Mary Ann suggested we extend our marriage another 2 years instead. That was a 4 month consulting gig that went on for over 8 years. I'm just kicking up my consulting practice again. I can deal with about 4 maybe 5 clients at a time and that's it. I'm pretty much there. They pay me to tell them what they already know....quite a biz (I'm a CPA but I don't do audits or tax....too many numbers and it gets really confusing what with all that adding, subtracting, multiply and....what's the other one?).
Technology always fascinates me. There's a business I came cross called "freeconferencecall.com". No costs, no advertising but you can set up conference calls for up to 96 people for no charge. Just in case some you need the service for free. There are other services offering pretty much the same deal.
Happy new year to all, happy anniversary(s), birthdays to those I missed.

Place: Richardson Comments: OK Richard, I'm curious as heck! What type of biz did you open & I have other questions. *Are you the sole owner? *Do you have employees yet? *Are you now able to stay at home all month and stop working out of an ofc in another city 3 weeks a mo? *If the answer to the last question is Yes, is there a pool on how long it will be before Mary Ann files for divorce?? I'm just saying . . . |
