Yes Richard, but did anyone else see you?? you may have just imagined yourself. What is your new bidness?? Maybe you started just at the beginning of the up swing. James, do have a mandatory retirement age with your job??

t/w David Mitchell few minutes ago.  He is still in rehab, but is going home tmo, Wed.  He is doing pretty good & able to get in & out of bed by himself & walking with the help of a cane.  It's a slow go when you break a hip at our age!  He told me he's doing OK, but doesn't think he'll be going to WalMart any time soon!

Don & I went to see Footloose this afternoon.  LOVED IT!!  Couldn't hardly stay in my seat the last 15 min.  My feet were dancing!    The title song still holds up tda & was as good as it was 20 something yrs ago!!

Jack, I"m not missing...saw myself just today.  I just got depressed reading about everybody retiring.  I just started a new biz and you guys are retiring.  Something wrong with this picture.

Happy Birthday to David!! With wishes for many more. Hope you are rehab'ed and well on the road to full recovery and going home. KMD, since you're posting again, I guess you are well or at least better. I'll be sure and let everyone know when my grand-ones are selling wrapping paper again and whatever the school comes up with to peddle.

Happy Belated Birthday Wishes to Sally and Mike! It sounds like Sally had a great one and I hope Mike did too. Happy Birthday to David and I hope you were able to spend it feeling much better and on the road to recovery.

Sorry to hear of Duane's health issues but glad he is doing better. JS, sounds like you may have stumbled onto a plan that could simplify your life...or at least allow you to be fat and sassy and well rested.

Ronney, I am waiting for the first grandone posting from you. Tick...tick...

Connie, Katie and I will be leaving for Abilene around 10 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday). My daughter-in-law will go to the hospital around 5 p.m. and the doctor will begin to induce labor. If she has not had the baby by Wednesday morning, they will give her another medication. That should bring Lila Kathleen McKee into the world. If not, they will do a C-section. By son, Ryan, said the doctors think there will be no problem inducing the birth. The baby is between 8 lbs. 12 ozs. and 9 lbs. 6 ozs. She has been in place for the birth for more than 2 weeks and has dropped down more.

So, Connie and I WILL be grandparents before we come home on Thursday evening. And, I will most probably have my first posting on the grandones' page. I have the feeling we won't get much sleep tonight. LOL.

Thank you for the good wishes.  And, James, dare I ask why it makes sense ? I sure hope this is good!
My daughter Eleni and I had the entire weekend to roam around together.  Since she was diagnosed with Celiac, an auto immune disease caused by eating gluten (in wheat rye, barley)  we changed our old pattern  that was "a tradition".  So instead of the kiddy place we went for more grown up drinks and dinner and lunch and cupcakes, etc-not that order but . . .  A LOT of food.  Today the diet starts again.
I hope Mike also had a good day.
AND we are praying for all .  As we get older our friends become even more precious to us every day.

Finally all side effects of the radiation treatments are gone. I told Sarah Sat. Night. Dad gum it. Now I have a honey do list. Should have kept my mouth shut and milked this puppy.

We've gotten much needed rain the last 2 -3 months.  Light rain last night & supposed to continue throughout the day & tmo.  No cats & dogs yet, but my trees & shrubs are smiling!

JS - always good to hear from you.  I too hope you & Dru have a much better 2012 as the last few yrs have been rough health wise.  Glad to hear Duane Chaffin is recovering . . . thanks to a very knowledgeable Dr.   Prayers continue for those with illnesses & may all my SOC friends have better health in 2012!!

Well, today it is raining cats & dogs here in The Woodlands. In a way, it is kind of a relief 'cause I've needed a rainy day to make me stay inside and take care of some "bidness".

Almost every morning I either go metal detecting or geocaching ... usually alternating the activities to give my knees a break from the stooping & bending to dig for lost "treasures".

This year I ain't-a makin' no resolutions ... ain't asking no questions ... ain't givin' advices (ain't workin' on my grammar). Just taking one day at a time. If 2012 turns out to be "medically uncomplicated", then that's plenty for me.

Here's hoping 2012 shakes out just fine for each of you.
