Place: Kidville in Richardson Comments: Gee, I miss 3-4 days on GB & ya'll have bn active! Thanks for all the interesting suggestions regarding the next Get-Together. I'm going to shoot for 4-21. Been a hard wk as I've been cooking for, cleaning up after & ramrodding 4 kids!! Yesterday was Diane's funeral services. It was hard on the triplets, as it was their first relative to lose! But they are young and children tend to bounce back better than adults. Today I get a break . . . Steph & the kids left early to meet Bill ( her step-dad) for brkfst & then off to an Aquarium. They will also eat supper with him. So tda I'm catching up on things, & of course, will make another run to the grocery store! Man those triplets can eat! Ya'll take care and I'll let you know when I get the details worked out for the mini. I will also post it on the Events pg.
Place: Calif. Comments: JD, I thought about you & your wife last week. Mary Ann & I were in Phoenix having dinner at J&G Steakhouse at the Phoenician. Memories, my lad. Wish you'd been there. Are you still considering a move to the desert?
Place: fort collins, colorado Comments: sparking memories , I remember your dad, I remember when you dad,( L.C. right?) caught us on top of your house and he both our tails right in the front yard, that was after my granny told him to whip me also. LOL
Place: Sachse Comments: Always good to hear from you, Robert. That was Rick Watts warning you about your wheels. Glad to hear you are planning to get out and about in the summer. Be sure and wear your seat belt in case you hook one of those whoppers. Would hate to hear you were pulled in the river. You can swim but the water up there is COLD! We went up to Colorado in July when I was about 10 to visit Mother's aunt. Dad and I fished for trout in a little stream. I was wearing shorts, a T shirt and barefoot. I stepped in the stream to get across it and thought my foot would freeze before I could get it out. We caught a bunch of fish but kept throwing them back cause they were so small. Then somebody told us those were the big ones. We still caught enough to have a fish fry and nobody left hungry. Had a snowball fight on top of a mountain while wearing a short sleeve shirt. Great memories! Thanks for sparking my memory.
Place: Colorado Comments: Thanks for the reply Rick W. you have to forgive and old bear who turns 65 on the 20th of March. Am I still the oldest bear in our class. Rick I am having trouble remembering you. What does the W stand for ? HEY I GOT IT. Why don't all of you come North for the next reunion. Do something radical and come to Fort Collins. You would not believe what there is to see and do even in the summer. We have a section of town that is called "Old Town" , Hollywood came and made a set copying for filiming. Just think about it. Rick thanks for the warning about the wheels. but where I fish it has a real board walk and fishing platform made of great wood. besides I can still swim, LOL Thank about coming on up here, otay ?
Place: Frisco Comments: I vote for 4/21 also!
Place: FW Comments: Sandy, I vote for 4-21-12 in Fort Worth! (just kidding about the Fort Worth part).
Place: Allen, TX Comments: I loved having the events in Richardson.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Please keep us informed, Bobby.
Place: Frisco Comments: You guys are in our prayers blb. I really like Austin.....if you can get rid of all of the cars! Takes an hour to drive through there. The new turnpike is great.
Place: Benbrook Comments: With everything that's going on, now Sarah will have surgery for her cancer areas.Need your hopes and prayers for her !
Place: 66erville Comments: 4-21 sounds good to me. Coasty, to me, there are only a FEW good reasons to go to Austin anymore. Of course, a UT football game, I'd like to see the Bob Bullock museum or if they are hanging the Texas government so we could start over with a new bunch. Salt Lick is good bar-bar-que, but they are "not available" on Saturday. Besides, doesn't your last-years Christmas tree need a road trip?? |
