Didn't realize it was contribution time.  I'll take care of it when I get back to Calif, SNL.  Congrats Jack on the grand-one.

SNL, it's not that I post "rarely"...there just seemed to be a lot of medical postings going on....lots of problems.  I'm in the middle of reading a book on Groucho Marx and I didn't think it appropriate I post one of his quotes ("....a man is only as old as the woman he feels").......see what I mean!

Oh, Jack, now I know why I had so darn many bills on my desk!!!  You gotta give back my key . . .  I can't keep up!

SNL don't look too close at those bills, just pay them. Somebody might have dropped some of theirs in your mailbox while you were gone.  Pool Guy, that is why I wasn't worried too much about you. I figured you looked around while your head was up there. Must have used a flashlight. I know you didn't light a match!!

I survived 7 days of taking care of the triplets (age 7) & their little sis, Brooklyn, age 2.  As soon as I arrive Sun I took the triplets w/me to HEB to buy groceries.  Hardly anything in the hse.  Mon – Fri I got triplets fed, dressed, backpacks ready & at the door to leave for bus stop. Picked up Brooklyn from crib & out the door we went.  Loaded ‘em all up & was at bus stop by 6:45am ea day.  Then came bk & fed & dressed Brooklyn.  Did washing, cleaning & shopping during the day & was at bus stop by 3:30 to pick them up.

Checked backpacks, signed forms & fed them all snacks.  At 5:30 started supper, then got everyone fed, cleaned kitchen, got everyone bathed & in PJs & in bed by 9:00pm.  After that I got everything in order & ready for the next day, picked up stuff & by then I was worn out!.  Oh, did I mention they have one big old dog & one big young dog.  I had to feed & water them as well.   Uh, another minor detail. . . triplets all got sick, ear ache.  Mon sch called & had to PU Daniel frm sch & take to Dr.  He was home next day.  On Wed  he went to sch but got a call to come PU April.  Ok to give all 3 of them same medicine.   Thur & Fri all 3 went to sch & by Fri their ears were better.   It was a wild & crazy week & I really enjoyed being with the kids, but I am so happy to be home and sleeping in my own bed! ! ! !   Aaaah  . . .  the sounds of silence in our home!!!

Unfortunately, not all endings are happy ones.  Stephanie’s mom, Diane, did not make it.  Her heart was getting a little better, but all her other organs failed.  She passed away about 11:30pm Fri night.  Stephanie & Bill are making arrangements tda with the Catholic church where Diane & Bill were members.

Thank you for all the prayers, she is in God's hands now.

Glad that you survived your "1st" Sandy.  I have to have one every two years since my Dad had colan cancer and I have had cancer twice.....  The only thing that bothers me is the day before...I never remember the procedure itself.

No Jack - it was not Bobby that went overboard, even though he probably would like to throw me over occasionally... It was from the Carnival Magic.

We had a really really great time and would like to be leaving on another one.  Got totally spoiled.  I will send some pics.  Glad to see that everyone is doing ok.  I guess it will be back to going to the hospital and then to seen Mom tmr.  Take careful everyone - later

Thanks to Tin Cup Capps, the world knows I had a medical procedure last week. I survived, was told this should have been done 13 years ago. And was in excellent shape for a guy my age.

The Doc did state he concurred with all of you beautiful Ladies. As a male, I have had my Head stuck up my Ass for the last 63 years.
Damn, why are they always right?

anyone hear back from Sandy McGee to see how it went?
As Roe and others have said, getting old (er?-okay, let's not kid ourselves, we are OLD!) is not for sissies.  Everytme I go to the doctor they find some new test to give me.  Nothing really wrong, just something not quite working like it used to!  If we are lucky (or not) it is just a slow slide from good health to not so good, I suppose.
On that happy note, I am going out to enjoy the day!  It is a beautiful rainy day in NYC-almost 50 degrees .  We have had a VERY warm winter.  The flowers have all started blooming at least two weeks earlier than usual.  I think we will have a beautiful spring.

Glad to read some upbeat stuff...lots of health issues recently posted and my heart goes out to all of you.

Hate to add the bad stuff but Kim Lawrence died this morning of a heart attack.  He's a 68er, but my brother's best friend and practically lived with us for a time.  Laughed all the time.
