So sorry for the loss of your stuff, Sammy. But glad to hear that your roof is not leaking! Probably ought to have the insurance guy look at it anyway.
Shortcake, you are brave or crazy to have the other knee done after all you have been through. Is your left foot now OK? Hope this next procedure goes smooth and easy and rehab is a breeze.
JD maybe you can take the insurance money from your trailer and buy a RV or large travel trailer and park it in AZ as your winter home. Maybe Jimmie and Karen will tell you where the good parks are. There is probably one near the Indian casino

I was at Fire Admin yesterday during it all but Bobby was in the RV right in the middle of everything.....rockin and rolling

I am going to have my right knee done on April 24th at Baylor Hospital.  Got a new Dr.  - Dr. Shurbert at the Carrell Clinic.  I really do like him.  He did x-rays and said the knee had severe damage.  I asked him if he could do it without making my foot numb and I think I insulted him...But he said he could.  I explained about my right foot and he understood.  After surgery I will go to Remington Rehab Center in Richardson for Rehab.  It is right off of George Bush Turnpike and pretty nice except for the pain they inflict on you.

Well, Sammy, the tornadoes must have jumped over Allen and McKinney, too. Our alarms went off for a few minutes. But, no tornado. No high wind. All we got was some heavy rain and a little pea-sized hail. Thank God. Glad we missed out on all of that fun. It was ironic that all of this happened the day after the 55th anniversary of the horrible Dallas tornado.

A friend of mine was upset because we were having tornadoes at this time of year. I asked him what planet he was from. This IS tornado season, for crying out loud.  haha!!

I was watching Pete Delcus' weather report. Said tornado and large hail to hit Coppell @2:21. At 2:15 the city sirens sounded. Grabbed a bunk bed mattress and got in the bathtub. The tornado jumped over Coppell and headed towards Allen and McKinney.
We had baseball size hail that pounded my roof, destroyed my gutters, BBQ.grill, fence gates, patio set and made 2" diameter holes in my front and back yard. We have no wet ceilings inside.
Dallas county and Tarrant county citizens are so blessed that no one died from all this terrible destruction of homes and businesses.
Glad everyone is OK

I guess I can't ask anyone to go look at my last investment in Lancaster...It was the BLUE 30 ton trailer I saw flying in the air from that truck depot.

What a day you all had yesterday!  Reminds me of when we were in third grade--just about the same time of year a tornado hit Oak Cliff.  A very scary day yesterday.  Seems no injuries-what a miracle.  Hope you are all okay physically and mentally!

Don & I, and I'm sure KMD,Toni, Jack & Barb, are all counting our blessings as the bad storms & tornadoes skipped our little area of the world!!  But watching it on live TV was unbelievable, especially watching those 18 wheelers & tractor trailer rigs being tossed around like toys.  I hope all our SOC friends in E. TX & south of here are OK.

Congratulations Robert on your weight loss!  That is a great thing & I'm glad it's a good weight for you & your feeling better too.  Surely your dtr will have compassion for ol' dad & let him keep the big monitor so you can better see what's in front of you.  The Lord works in mysterious ways, I hope your Van continues to run & your dtr lets you keep the big monitor!

Don & I began landscaping our backyard on Thurs.  Right now it looks like a bomb exploded & the gophers dug hoes everywhere!!  Hopefully in about 2 wks we'll have a rock edging around a new bed that will have roses in it.  Lot of pretty flowers planted & a pavestone walkway leading from the patio around to the side of the yard.  Also have to move & reroute quiet a few of the sprinkler heads, thus the gopher holes everywhere.  Thurs & Fri were nice, cloudy with a little sun, but yesterday & tda . . .   OMG!  By 2:15 tda we were both whipped.  Too hot & had to give it up for today.

My daughter moved back to Dallas and left a 24 inch flat monitor and some kind of odd ball computer.  I hooked up the monitor and with lots of prayer I may be able to keep it.  With my left optic nerve almost dead now it sure helps. So I am asking anyone with a direct line to the Throne to ask the Lord to make a way I can keep it.  I can't afford one as of yet. Oh I also need prayer to keep the old van running, He has been doing it so far and I believe He has shown me what the problem is and maybe how to fix it. I know I don't show up here very much and I am sorry about that, Thank you ahead of time for your care and prayers. Love , Robert and Jolae
p.s.  My wieght is back up to 152 and I feel better there. Praise God

Congratulations to Cathy and Fred on the new grandone (and your anniversary too). She is a beautiful bundle of joy.

Looking forward to seeing the old gang at the next mini. Everybody bring pictures of the grandones that you haven't gotten around to posting on the GB. Oh, and congratulations to Rick and his bride for their anniversary also.
