I am here Jack   The killing of the PT person and/or nurse may come today!  They are coming to take the staples out and I know from the last time (regardless of what they tell you) it hurts like hell.   The Dr. has had to take me off of all the meds he had me on.....I could not keep any food down.  Have started some other meds to see if it helps.

Soooo anyway - if you read about me in the paper you will know that they hit a staple that really really hurt

You're right, Ronney, we both have beautiful granddaughters. As we all know, grandfathers are not opinionated or prejudiced either!! I wish you all could see the series of Emerson's pictures. She has so many expressions for only 7 weeks old.
Good news about Sarah, BLB.  So glad Linda found us, hope she'll join us here and at the minis. Wish our other "missing Bears" would/could find us. I have so much enjoyed rekindling lost friendships and getting to know classmates I didn't know at SOC. Shortcake has been quiet. Wonder if she killed her PT person and can't get to the computer??

Wow Ronney, you must have looked at the P&G pg just as I loaded it!   Yes, I have put up a very cute pic of Jack's new G-dtr, Emerson.  He sent it Thur night, but I haven't had my pc on all weekend.  Sammy sent me a great pic of Cody Jack Sat afternoon but I wasn't in town.  Sam -I'll put Cody up Fri mrng.

I worked in yard all day Fri & was in Austin all day Sat.  Went to my cousin's hsbds 70th BD Party in Austin all day & didn't get home til late Sat night.  Finally was able to plant my two rose bushes & some begonias in new flower bed.  Now I'm off to buy more begonias & coleus.  Man, it never ends!!  Don's about thru overhauling the back yd sprinkler system.  This wk should wrap everything up . . .  then we can go out on patio & enjoy the pretty flowers & new rock work!

Another lost classmates found us via the website.  I have removed Linda K. Moore from the missing list & updated her info.  Many a classmate has found us via this website.  Thanks to everyone who donates to keep it alive & well.

Did any of you Rangers fans catch the ironic SOC-related story yesterday about the couple snagging a ball from a 3 yr. old seated next to them?

The SOC "connection" is that the pretty young gal (Shannon Smith Moore) is the daughter of Randy Strangi (Cl of '64). The story has several happy endings (i.e. guy gets girl and boy gets ball).

JS, it's good to have confirmation that Dale & Yuvonne are still alive!  Looks like Dale has a modified golf cart to chauffeur his guest around the spread.  Glad you didn't run across any rattlers.  I'm curious . . .  do they have indoor plumbing?

KRL - Hang in there girl!!    This knee replacement is going to go well & each week will bring improvement (unlike last time!).  Make sure you do all your rehab or it will not be fully mobile.

Dru and I got home yesterday from a nice stay at the Lazy S Ranch in northeast Coleman County. Dale & Yuvonne Smiley were most gracious hosts.

We got to meet the entire cattle herd, saw some deer and turkey and didn't see any rattlesnakes (thank goodness).

The Smileys have done an enormous amount of work on the spread and they enjoy a breezy west Texas vista.

It is comforting to know the code to their electric gate for when the eventual "Zombie Apocalypse" arrives (and this is the year for it - you heard it here first).
