Place: Richardson Comments: Donnie - I missed the news tonight but clicked on the WFAA link. That is a great interview with Mike & Belinda and good commentary regarding the BMF Project. Thanks for posting it. Jack - I sure hate to hear Glynda is losing her job. Seems it's happening to so many of our friends! Get her to file for unemployment the day after she's let go & with her accounting qualifications, I bet they can help find her a job. I sure hope so! Sammy - How is Sarah's job hunting going? Any of those interviews pan out for her?
Place: Garland Comments: Tonight on channel 5 and 8, The BMF project was on the news. Mike and Belinda were interviewed and the story is about the sonar equipment we have donated. Below are the links for the segments that were broadcast. Take a look to see what we are about.

Jack want me to see if I can get Glynda a gig out here in Arizona? Will let you know if come across anything.
Place: Cypress Spring Comments: Thought I was doing realy great but got up this morning and could not keep anything down. That went on until around 2. One of my nurses said it could be the blood thinner. One of the other ones thought I might have picked up a "bug" somewhere....but since I have not been anywhere that would be difficult.
Will be in Garland on Fri and Sat. Mom is moving in to new apt and I am going to supervise. Cannot lift anything. The dr. has not released me yet. Bobby has been great helping me out all the time.
i don't know if I will hear anything Jack, but if I do I will let you know.
Place: Sachse Comments: Well friends, I'm here today to ask for your help. The company Glynda works for has been sold. The new company has an existing accounting department so her department is being let go. If any of you know or hear of a job in accounting, please let us know. They say networking is the best way to find a job and y'all are my network. We GREATLY appreciate your help.
Place: Calif. Comments: It is quiet....and a bit slow today. I was just reading the birth notices to see if I knew anyone who was born.
But, that's me.
Place: Richardson Comments: Awfully quiet on the home front. We had a great time a the Gauer Family Reunion on Sun! Had 42 in attendance. It rained for abt 30 min here last night. Cloudy & cooler tda... I love it. Hope everyone is OK, maybe just busy?! Sammy - Cody Jack is so cute devouring that choc cake! Ya'll take a look at the P&J pg and see all the cuties!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Been so busy outside haven't had time to even get on the pc lately. We took yesterday off (we were worn out from the 91* heat the last two days) to go shopping for Yard Art. Found 2 great pieces & we are about to put up one of them in a few minutes. By next Sat we hope to have all the St. Augustine grass layed. Then we can clelan up the mess & all the tools we have hauled out to the patio. Hopefully the following wk we can start enjoying the fruits of our labor! Rod - You may not post much, but I know you're a frequent Lurker!
Place: 66 Wisconsin Comments: We just got back from our AZ trip. Wonderful as usual. Again, we had dinner with Mr. Fugaate but without Barb (Not hewr weekend).
But just like Charlie Harpers brother Allen on "Two & a Half Men"... Allen, I mean Donnie had no money when it came time to pay the bill so , again, Kathy picked up the tab...I had nothing as well. Barb, please send Donnie some money so next year he can buy dinner !!! LOL !!!
Love ya both.
So sad to hear about Steve Gann. Kathy & I helped my father in law as Kathy's mother was diag with ALZ at 53 and died at 68.
So sad to watch her deterioate...but worse to watch the changes in my father in law...he was lost when we put her into a nursing facility. I told Kathy don't let me go like that...just give me the pistol and let me do the rest. It's a tough existence and tougher to experience the loss of a loved one. May God bless both of them.
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Mom has diverticulosis and there was an irritated spot that was bleeding...they put a stint in to stop the bleeding. They also found a mass where her overy was and a spot by her kidney. They biopsies the spot by the kidney and will watch the other for a mth or so. The biopsy should be back on a week. My dr has put me back on cuminin but at a half dose and will check my blood levels Monday. He cannot figure out what is making me sick. He has changed Meds twice. Hope he figures it out soon.....I think the pt girl thought I was going to throw up on her today! Lol Bobby has been great...does just about everything for me....do not know what I would do without him here.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Would love to see the series of pictures showing your granddaughter's expressions. Bet they are priceless. You may have to bring them to our next class party.
Place: Sachse Comments: Good to hear from you, Mike. So sorry to hear about your mother. Hope your health is improving and you are up and around more. Hey, Rick, how's the bowling team idea coming?? I think it may be a while before Shortcake is able to make any snacks. I'm sure she is being encouraged to get up and move around as much as possible. She could always send Bobby to the Kroger bakery.
Place: California Comments: Hello evereyone! Sorry to have been gone so long but between dealing with my Mother (Alzheimer's) and my health I have been real busy. Hope to try and catch up over the next few weeks
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: You know Jack, I was going to get you to come on down and remove them, but unfortunately they got here before I could contact you .....so I let her go ahead and remove them. Only a couple of them hurt really bad.
Bobby's Mom fell again. Decided to try walking with a walker and did not make it. Fortunately she did not break anything ...we just have to watch where we leave the walkers.
My Mom is back in the hospital. She is having some problems and they are going to do a cat scan today. I feel really frustrated because there is nothing I can do from here and the Dr. will not release me to travel yet. I cannot get up and down the stairs at the RV anyway.
Place: bigD Comments: Shortcake, I'll pay $5 to watch Jack remove the staples. Invite us all over , you could get enough to pay your deductable.
Place: 66erville Comments: Memory is a funny thing. It has been many years since they "pulled" my staples, but I don't remember it hurting. In fact I was surprised that it didn't. Mine were in my stomach area. A soft area with no bones to hit. I kept the puller they used for years (not alot different from the one I use in my office) but I finally threw it away. I guess staples are quicker and easier than stitches to put in, but not sure about the removal. Shortcake, send Bobby outside to get you a stick to bite on while they take them out. You can handle it! I'll pay $5 if you let me remove them. |
