Place: Allen, TX Comments: Sandy, I saw Jersey Boys a couple of weeks ago. Great show. But, be ready....the "F-word" is used throughout the first act. The music at first is pretty good. But, in the story...when they become The Four Seasons and start singing those wonderful old songs, the entire auditorium became completely "electrified." The story is interesting. I never knew there was so much turmoil within the group. If you haven't been to the Winspear Opera House (AT&T Center), you have a treat in store. I think it is the BEST theater in Dallas. Not a BAD seat in the house. And, it is quite beautiful inside. I adore the place. Have fun at the show.
Place: Richardson Comments: Toni - Will write a critique tmo, as going tonight to see Jersey Boys. I bought the tickets exactly 5 mo ago, so didn't know it wd be the same nite as ASG! But we cd use a few nites break from baseball since we watch all the games! Will let you know if it was worth the money!  Anybody else a fan of the Closer? We love that show & are sad to know this is the last season, and a short one at that. Only 6 shows left & last nite was the 1st one. That show is so well written & very good actors. This wkend we'll be in Hstn to celebrate Don's Mom's 85th BD. We're having a family dinner on Sat nite with just the family, which includes Stephanie & the Triplets plus the two-and -a -half yr old. She has 4 G-kids and 5 Great G-kids!! It's a surprise & our job is to get her to Don's brother's hse without suspicion that it is a surprise party for her!!
Place: 66erville Comments: Hey Carol, you going to the All Star game? Hope you got some good seats. The game is a little better now that they are playing for home field in the world series. The pro-bowl and basketball all star games are jokes now, in my opinion. They don't seem to mean anything to the players. Can't talk about hockey as I don't watch it on TV.
Place: Garland USA Comments: Ric, as much as I hate to look a gift-horse in the mouth....I'll have to pass! Thank you so much for thinking about me but can we just stick to kleenex flowers? Where in the world is everyone? Talk about dog-days of summer! Was hoping to hear SNL's critique of the Jersey Boys.

Place: 66erville Comments: So good to see Sandy Mc, Susan, Carol and Toni posting again! It gets real boring with just SNL and me posting. I guess it is the dog days of summer. People either gone or just busy with life. I've always loved summer, but a combination of age and air conditioning seems to make it harder to endure the heat now. As my Mother reminds me, "getting old isn't for sissies"!
Place: Garland USA Comments: Hi Everyone! Been reading about a month of entries in the Guestbook. Been pretty busy working out in the yard this summer. So far, I've only happened across three snakes! Sandy, it must be great to be able to walk to the fireworks show! Happy belated birthday/anniversary to anyone I missed. Sandy, would love to know your thoughts on the Jersey Boys...would love to see them! Made a trip to the Dallas Farmers Market on the 4th...not what it used to be but still found some wonderful fruits and veggies. I feel a country vegetable dinner coming really soon!
Place: KC, MO Comments: It was a beautiful Independence Day here, although very hot - 101 around 6:00 in the evening. Thankfully it wasn't humid, however. I spent my day preparing for coming attractions. I wrote checks to pay the "penalties/taxes/whatever the heck Obama is calling them today" for all of the items that we will be mandated to buy in the near future (but which I will not buy). I WILL NOT COMPLY!  (Of course that isn't how I spent my day - but boy am I ticked off!) Leaving for home in a few minutes. Think I'll stop for a 64-ounce Big Gulp and the greasiest burger and fries that I can find. Take that, Michelle!  Love to you guys - Carol
Place: 66erville Comments: Hope everyone had a safe and sane 4th. The local GKs came over Tuesday afternoon and we went to the Sachse fireworks Tue. night. Great show again this year. Word must have got out because the crowd was at least twice the size of last year. Long lines at all the booths. One was giving away free cotton candy. We stood in line for snow cones for 30-40 minutes. Most of the problem was the people working the booth. Couldn't seem to handle an order for more than one cone at a time. Getting 5 was a real chore. If you have a portable food stand you might consider signing up for Sachse's 4th next year. Should be a money maker.
Place: Richardson Comments: Happy 4th of July to everyone!!!! It's great to be an American and such a privilege!!! Hope you have a safe 4th!!! Richardson has their big fireworks show tonight at Breckinridge Park. We simply walk 3 blks down the ally & cross over Brand St. Then sit in the park in our folding chairs, as does half our neighborhood! Great fireworks & the best part . . . no traffic to fight!
