Place: 66erville Comments: HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Don B and Dale with wishes for many more! Great article on your Mom, Rick. Good that she is so active. We are lucky to still have our Moms. Mine will be 93 this Sept. Because of her macular degeneration she gave up driving a few years back. She was afraid she couldn't pass the eye test. She tells me she still misses driving. Says she catches herself thinking she will run to the store and pick up something and then remembers she doesn't drive any more. She thinks me driving here around is a "burden" that I don't have time for. I remind her of all the times and places she drove me and friends someplace and came and picked us up later and drove everybody home. She said that was part of her Mom job and doesn't count. But I am glad she is not driving anymore. My nephew gave her his old Ipad and she is learning to use it. Keeping here mind active.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm reserving my birthday wishes for Dale until he shows up! He's been absent for so long... not sure he even knows how to find his way back to the GB. No BD wishes until you make an appearance!!
Place: FW Comments: Happy Birthday, Dale! Sorry I'm late.
Place: FW Comments: Happy Belated Birthday, Don! (Sandy, would you invite me over to your house on my birthday?!)
Place: The Woodlands, TX Comments: 9:13pm and I just slipped in under the wire with my Birthday Greetings for Dale Smiley. Hope Yuvonne made you a big yellow cake with chocolate icing and saved a piece for me!
Place: Richardson Comments: I saw the photo of Rick's Mom in today's Metro section of the DMN. Great photo & article!! Rick - You have an amazing Mom and you are very lucky to still be able to have her in your life! Like Roe and many others . . . I miss mine very much. Gone in 1994. Tda was Don's B-day. I fixed him a big breakfast, eggs, biscuits, cream gravy & a pork chop. Then we caught an afternoon movie, came home & had margaritas. Then I fixed his favorite dinner . . . chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, peas, cream gravy & a salad. Now we're enjoying the Ranger game. Strawberry Shortcake in a few minutes!!
Place: DeKalb, Tx Comments: Rick, you are so lucky to still have her & in good health. I think of my Mother everyday although she's been gone since 2000. Great writeup, now you have to top it, live to be 105.
Place: CS Comments: Because I am a "late" firecracker jack!

Place: DS Comments: Rick, I just looked at the Neighbors section of TDMN and read about your mom. What a beautiful woman. I know that makes you proud 93...can't believe that.
Place: FW Comments: Good article on your Mom, Rick!

Place: Work Comments: Thanks, Sammy, but you know I'm no good with numbers. Especially that many LONG numbers. Besides, I already have a social security number. I've had one since I was old enought to get one. It has not ever helped me out socially. Girls just didn't seem to care. Shhortcake, thanks for the heads up. You know you are not suppose to have candy, it is BAD for you. Jewerly is heavy and would put a strain on your knees. Flowers bring bugs, make you sneeze and will just DIE. I'll look around and see if I can find some ruby red grapefruit for you! Why isn't your BD on the fourth??
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Jack.... Since you are so organized do not forget thatmt bd is 11 July. Same rules as yours apply. I also like candy, jewelry and flowers! Rubies are my birth stone. |
