We are now in Bayfield, CO.  Our thermometer shows 75 degrees .....had to turn on the heat strips in the rv this morning to take the chill off.  We will be here for two maybe three weeks.

Our daughter Kellye came home from the hospital today after her Hip relacement surgery. Now the rehab begins. she is areal trooper and will do well. thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

As you can see we are now in Chama, New Mexico.  Sorry Jack - did not read your post until we got back from dinner and we are leaving in the am.  We did have Mexican Food.  We had eaten there before so we knew they were good.  I had to have them close the window before me though because it is only 60 degrees here and I had on short sleeves   We will be in Bayfield by about 1 tmr and it will be even cooler there.  I will think about all of you

Had to get up in the middle of the night and get ice pack for my knee.  All the driving is making it pretty sore. 

Ya'll try to stay cool.  I am thinking about you!

Comments:
We had all five grandkids over yesterday with moms. Spent three hours at Coppell Aquatics pool. Home for pizza. Pop nana Marsha and Jill took naps while grandkids watched Disney Movie "The Reef". Kids are tough. Even Cody Jack did not nap. Going to the gym this morning then we are done for the weekend. Watching Olympics this weekend in our PJ'S.

As you can see we have abt four more hours of driving before we get to Amarillo.  Bobby said he is heading for the hot tub as soon as we get there.  When he is done with that we will head back to the rv eat dinner and relax. The Oasis serves breakfast so we will eat there and head for Santa Fe for the night.  Just started raining.....hard.  Usually we do not get rain until we are inAmarillo.   Lol....already stopped.

You are never too old for grandchildren.  Try not to spoil the baby too much!

JD, today with all the satellites for TV & radio you never know who you might hear or see.  I bet Coasty Don gave the guy an earful!!!    Nice to see you are still kickin'!  Are you still keeping house?

Yesterday we played 36 holes of mini golf with Dylan & then came home, showered and went to see Ice Age-Continental Divide.  It was a cute movie.  Right now Don & Dylan are at Rangers Ballpark checking it out before the game starts.  He hasn't been able to concentrate all day because all he can do is ask "How long before we leave to go to the game?"   I hope they have a good time.  

David - Congratulations on the great news!  You will make a wonderful Grandpa!!  You can teach him how to play the guitar and keyboard. By 10 he'll have his own band!  Keep us posted on the due date.

Last night at about 9:30 I was on my way home when my satellite radio picked up this familiar voice on one of the late night conservative talk shows. I knew who it was immediately but then he was having trouble with his cell phone because he was sin the Texas hill country. When he got to the top of the next hill I heard him say to the radio guy...I'm not on top of the hill...I'm retired Coasty...and no one is going to take away my Beretta...the discussion was on the 2nd Amendment and Gun Control where the important word in the phrase is CONTROL.

I had never hear another SOCite on the radio...especially from 1700 miles away. I laughed until I cried...called the classmate and had a wonderful discussion.

So don't ever be surprised if you hear one of our classmates on national radio...given the right topic.

Don...you sounded like you knew what you were talking about...but it was still funny to see that you made a call from the bottom of one of those "hills" down there. LOL.

Barb - It's not bad enough our car parts are recalled . . . now our body parts!  Please let Kellye know she will be in our thoughts & prayers for a good biopsy report and a good hip replacement.  I know you will be there by her side on Thur.  God Bless & keep us posted as the results come in & the surgery is over.  Love to you & Kellye!!!
