Place: 66erville Comments: We got a nice rain yesterday and a good, but short, rain last night about 11:00. Every little bit helps and the cooling effect is so welcome. wishing everyone gets some of the rain while it is in the area.
Place: Richardson Comments: That's because they have now fixed it!! Leave it to Fugate to cause a problem that can ony be fixed by the GB teck people!  The 15-20 min of rain was definitely heaven sent. Cooled everything down. We're gng tonight to the famiy visitation for Darlene Moree's sister. Now, bk to the Den as we're watching the Rangers play!

Place: Sprinkling in Richardson!! Comments: Not sure what just happened, but it seems Donnie's post merged in with mine & it came out as one big post??? Now this is a new one, never had that happen. I'm going to try & fix it . . . empahsis on"try". The Oct 5th date sounds great, not too hot & not yet cold. Should be another great time for all of us!!! Anyway . . . it's actually raining at my house!!!!!   Hope my other neighbors (Toni, Jack, Bovie, KMD) are also receiving the rain.

Place: Cloudy in Richardson Comments: Sure wd be nice if all these clouds wd give up some rain drops!! Just a 10 min shower wd be great! Don't know if any of you are still listening to KLUV 98.7 or not, but about a year ago they stopped playing 60's songs. They played commercials saying they were playing all the hits from the 70's & 80's. Ticked me off!! BUT, 3 weeks ago I noticed I was hearing some great old favorite 60's music again. Then I started noticing the commercials said, " Playing great songs from the 60's, 70's and even the 80's". Guess they under estimated their listening audience. Finaly realized us 60 something listeners are more important than they first thought!! Aaaaah . . . now I have my old songs back. Sam & Dave, Aretha, Wilson Pickett . . . how I have missed you!!

The family visitation will be tmo,Wed, at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy 80, in Sunnyvale, btwn 6-8pm. Services will also be at the funeral home on Thurs at Noon. Place: Retired in Richardson Comments: Sorry Rick, I guess I'm having so much fun I can't contain myself!! If I'd know it would be this much fun, I'd have done it a year earlier. Now for some sad news - I just found out that Darlene Moree's older sister ( Gay ) passed away yesterday. You may also know their brother,Mike Moree, ( Cl 64) as he & Charlotte have come to some of our events & he was the DJ at our 40th. Gay died from Cancer. This is all the info I have, but as arrrangements are made I will pass along the info. Prayers for Drlene, Mike & the rest of their family.
