Place: 66erville Comments: Carol, you know I have always enjoyed a lively discussion. Funny thing is, that all my known liberal friends put out emails asking their mailing list not to send them political emails this year. I hope that means they are throwing in the towel. But I think they just can't defend what they have. My favorite thing so far is: If you voted for Obama to prove you are not a racists, don't vote for him again and prove you are not an idiot! On a different note, they said on the news last night that the spray they using in the fly over is the same as you can buy in the stores as a "yard fogger", just a thicker concentration
Place: H-Town Comments: God be with you Linda. Our hearts and prayers are with you for the loss of your Mother.

Place: Richardson Comments: Betwn Tue & Sat nights we got 5" of rain here at our hse! That's unimaginable here in mid-Aug!! It got rid of the heat wave but slowed down the aerial spraying several nights. Yes Carol, they have sprayed all of Dls & the surrounding cities that had requested it including Garland, Mesquite & Richardson. Last night btwn 10:00- 10:15 we had a plane come over area very low & make several passes. Don't know what the "fall-out" may be. Guess only time will tell. I worry about the little bunnies & the beautiful Redbirds I feed outside my window. I took precautions, but who knows. I just pray they get a handle on it B4 anyone else dies from the West Nile Virus. Carol-You're comment about the 'best looking" ticket made me laugh. In comparison to the "current" ticket of Pres, VP & First Lady... egads what a diff!! I don't care if ya'll talk politics, just don't get mad at each other bec of differences of opinions.
Place: Sachse Comments: Linda, I am so sorry to hear of your dear mom's passing. I hope you will find comfort in the fact that she had such a long time on this earth with her loving family. Love you. Annette, your news article was so touching. We don't realize how our acts of kindness can inspire other lives and leave a lasting impression. Thanks for sharing.

Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: Hi, everyone.
Place: Orange Comments: Linda, You are right about some neat things in Portland. Good seafood, Powell's is a great book store, monster COSTCO, but I don't like driving a car there do to the hills. Most of my time in Oregon has been spent in the eastern part of the state (Pendleton). However, Oregon, is like New Jersey, they don't trust you to pump your own gas.
Place: H-Town Comments: Speaking of Oregon, this story touched my heart so profoundly I wanted to share it with you dear friends...... http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_162-57495803/oregon-town-says-goodbye-to-man-who-spent-life-helping-neighbors/

Place: Texas Comments: Got back Tuesday from Portland, OR; never been there before, but thought the countryside was beautiful; the downtown area lively with lots of places to eat and the largest bookstore, Powell's, in the US. We drove to Cannon Beach, Tillamook (went to the cheese factory), Manzanita, and Hood River AND Mt. Hood. Did alot in the 4 days we were there, waterfall, and wineries. Rick - No, I didn't get to go see the house; also, didn't realize that it was on 14 acres. Wonder who bought it? Also, we did get some rain Wed. nite; thought we might get some tonight but just clouds and lightening.
Place: plano, texas Comments: hope everyone had a great summer.
