Place: Dallas Comments: Sandy and the other ‘66ers, thank you for letting this old gal from ‘63 come to your shindig today. It was good to see everyone. My husband and I had a lovely time visiting! How lucky are we all to have such lasting friendships? We really did come from a special place and time.
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Ada, I know how you feel. My heart is heavy because I'm missing the party right now. I usually never miss one. Boo Hoo!
Place: Dallas Comments: We are at the Hilton. Kicking back and relaxing right now. We are meeting our youngest daughter for lunch. Talk about feeling old - she is retiring the end of the month!
Place: Richardson Comments: Spoke w/Gordy few minutes ago. Unfortunately, he's not going to be able to make the Mini tomorrow. He's still in Rehab! Staples not out yet due to some areas not totally healed back together. This is the 4th week and he's really wanting to go home. Dr doesn't want the wound on his heel or the long incision to get infected , so will be at least one more week.
Place: Richardson Comments: Ada Ann, I love you and miss you every day. I too wish you could be here!! My camera that I've taken so many photos with at every reunion and Mini finally quit on me. It gave out! I bought a new small Cannon last week and I believe I have it set up correctly and will be using it. Really looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow. Remember: Saturday, 5-21, from 2 to 6 pm at the Hilton on Campbell Rd @ Hwy. 75. We'll be in the bar area. Please try to be there at 2:00 because several friends have to also be at graduation & parties for their G-kids and can only be there from 2 to 3:30. I'm thrilled that they are making it a priority to come by to visit with their SOC family before heading over to their other family! Everyone drive safely & see you tomorrow!!!

Two things: Saturday is the DAY!! 1) We have more than 48 people who have said they will be there and several that might surprise us and make an appearance. 2) I haven't ask for any donations to our SOC Fund in 3 years. With all that was going on I didn't want to burden anyone. Although, one person sent me a $100 ck out of the blue. So now I'm asking, If you can, a donation at the Mini would be appreciated! Karen & Mike are driving up from Galveston, Janice & Randall from Waller and Carol is coming down from KC. You will fit right in. It's been way too long since I've seen you!!!

Place: The Woodlands, Texas Comments: Sandy, I have this "friend" who at one time was an Official Member of the Class of '66, but he hasn't paid his annual dues in like ... 10 years? Reckon there'd be room for him +1 at this weekend's shindig?
Place: Richardson Comments: Larry - It is May 21st at the Hilton, which used to be the Hyatt, there on Campbell @ Hwy 75 in Richardson. Sometime in the last 2 years Hilton took it over. It's still in the bar area but they redid the whole bar area and it's really pretty now. Lots of table & chairs and couches. Same time as always 2:00pm to 6:00pm. All the details are also posted on our Events page. Would really like to see you, so hope you can make it. And you're right Larry . . . we're losing too many classmates, so let's not waste the opportunity to finally get together after this long hiatus. Hope to see you and lots of our friends on Saturday!!!

I was undecided about coming to the mini, but time passing, along with so many of my classmates, has made it clear that there is no time like the present to catch up. Can someone give me the time and place again? I know it is the 21st, and I am looking forward to hearing from each and every one of you. |
