The "sweet" part was I got my new PC!  We were within a mile of the Fry's on NW Hwy /LBJ & we continued our trip.  You see, Windows 8 comes out today!!  I have read several articles on it & seen the ads . . .  I don't want Windows 8!   It acts more like a touch screen rather than like the usual Windows. They recommend you use a touch pad rather than a mouse.  I only have two eyes, I don't have an IPad, IPod or IPhone.  I don't do touch & slide, I do click & scroll.

I wanted to get what I wanted and not be picking from the leftovers after 8 comes out.  Now all I gotta do is set it up, transfer all the data, load new Photo Shop & Office & I'll be done!

Sorry to hear about your's and Don injuries, Sandy. Hope you are both better soon. It might be a good idea to go to the doctor and get a check up as some of these things take a while to show up. Sorry about the car too. I know you loved it. Hope she and the rental company have GOOD insurance and will take care of things properly. I get the bitter part real well. What was the sweet part??

Well, I had lower back pain & pain running down my left leg last night & Don's neck really hurt him.  His neck is stiff this mrng but better.  It realy knocked us hard but I think in a day or so we'll be OK.  I just hope it didn't damage the frame on my car & she has good ins!!   Thanks for asking Rick.

Yesterday was a bitter sweet day.  Had been looking for a new computer for myself.  Mine is more than 7 yrs old!  Was on the way to go buy one & while sitting at a red light on Jupiter Rd . . .  a girl in a rented Altima rear-ended us!!  It wasn't a love tap, she really slammed us!  My poor car, we've had it 5 yrs & it had only a few minor dings from rocks.  Called the ins agency this mrng & gave all the details.  They'll send out an adjuster to appraise the damage.  I sure hope she has good coverage.

Sammy - I think Cody Jack is so cute!  I beleive he favors you in the eyes!!

Well lets see now.... Daddy was a firefighter in the marine corp and mom was a mp ...yes my mom wore combat boots! Watch it - she is still pretty tough. And then to add to my problems my uncle was asst. chief in Dallas all the time I was in school so we always had police cars around and the beat officers all knew us because of him. Did not advertise that much... Not really something you want all your friends to know when you are a teenager! Lol
