Place: Cypress springs Comments: Sorry Sandy Mc I just could not help myself...when you are around fire and police 24/7 you tend to have a ick sense of humor!
Place: Richardson Comments: Well, I'm gone 2 days & look what all happens!!!! Ronney, thank you for posting the note regarding the passing of Mary Irene McCord Bach. She was Diane McCord's older sis from '63. Such a sweet & funny lady, she always came to the SOC Luncheons & the SOC Hops at Wayne's place. I'd been following her health issues & knew she was on hospice. There is a lot of info in the posts on the '63 site for those not on FB. she's out of pain & with God now. I heard about Big Tex on Fri evening while at the Build-A-Bear store in Austin!! We caught it on the News that nite. Still can't believe it!!! I'm a little disappointed, I was anticipating John Southworth to have posted at least one note regaerding Dallas' Burning Man!! We left here Fri mrng & drove to Austin & then out to Steph's hse in the country. Surprised the triplets by meeting them at the sch bus stop! We took then out for dinner & then to the Mall & Build-A-Bear store. They all picked one out & we went thru the process . . . 3 times. Wish they'd had a Build-A-Bear store when I was young! Sat we went to Dripping Springs & watched the boys play their last football game. April is on the Cheer Squad. Can't believe the triplets were 8 on Fri. We had a great time Fri & Sat.
Place: DS Comments: I was waiting for the stop, drop and roll comment. Shocked that it came from Shortcake. He should have been wearing flame retardent clothing, seriously.
Place: 66erville Comments: COLD! Y'all are COLD!!
Place: Grosvenor Comments: Howdy Folks. Mind if I smoke?
Place: Cypress springs Comments: It was the Dallas FD's fault. They forgot to teach Big Tex to Stop...Drop...and Roll!! Actually this is what happens when you start frying everything at the fair!
Place: Coleman Comments: It was coach Garretts fault. He didn't get the call into the fire department in time.
Place: State Fair Comments: I don't know who got burned the worse at the fair.... Big Tex or the Texas Longhorn defense.
Place: 66 WI Comments: I thought Dallas had a Fire Department...what happened? Big Tex is dead ! Where's Smilry for a good joke...
Place: bigD Comments: I hear that Big Tex passed away today. Maybe he will be reincarnated back into a santa Clause.
Place: Calif. Comments: Smiley makes me LOL out loud.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: I saw on Facebook that Mary McCord (Diane McCord's older sister) passed away with cancer last night. So sad. She was a lovely woman and former SOC cheerleader.
Place: it is what it is Comments: Jack, Yes, we do live in the sticks but Von and I try to start each day with some refined cultural activity. Today we were reading this snippet from the English bard, Willie Shakespeare: T'was in the restraunt that they met Romeo and Julliette He had no money to pay the debt So, Rome owed what jullie et. Don't tell Shortcake but I still think with a little blue paint she would make a darling Smurf.
Place: 66erville Comments: Dale, you may have to come out of retirement and become a cobbler. While you're at it go to blacksmith school too. Should be a real need for both out there in the sticks!
Place: Sachse Comments: I could see you as a peppermint patty, but not a stick. Better go with the light. Now the important question; will the light be on or off or flickering?? |
