It makes me feel bad that it is so pretty here in early Nov & so very awful in NY & NJ!!  They need so much help, can't even imagine the horror they are going thru. No home, no heat, scarce food or water.  Pray for real help soon!

FYI - Don't forget tonight, Saturday, Nov 3, we set our clocks "back" one hour!

I'm about to start the scary process of transferring my data, photos, music, Em, etc from my old pc to my new one!!  Wish me luck!  If you don't hear from me in a day or so you'll know it didn't go well.
Have a great weekend & enjoy this unusual warm & beautiful Nov day!!

Sally - Thanks so much for the update.  Glad your dtr is with you & Christos is OK.  Nothing like an unplanned vac when the weather is absolutely beautiful in TX!!

Smiley - You still make me laugh!  Another good one!

Christo is up in NYC and Eleni is here. Our neighborhood is fine except for the downed trees in the park I love.  NY has had power outages before but just not in such nice neighborhoods as the west village. They are complaining on national tv!  Oh dear!
Anyway, it seems our wait for a plane home will be one week--we were scheduled to leave when the hurricane hit .  Luckily I have a very sweet sister! And the weather is beautiful.  We had a great lunch with Annette and Sid.  THis weekend is the Lone Star bike rally- I have never seen so many old biker dudes in one place--including walmart!
Glad to hear Ada now has electricity!

After Halloween witches hang their brooms up in the broom closet for a while. A boy broom and a girl broom were hanging side by side and got to know each other well. It was not long before they fell in love and the boy broom soon popped the question and the girl broom accepted. The bride broom looked lovely in her white gown and the groom broom was equally handsome in his black tux. The wedding was perfect until, at the reception, the bride broom leaned over to the groom broom and said "In a very few weeks we are going to have a little wisk broom"
The groom broom was astonished and said "But how can this be..... We haven't even swept together yet."

There are no words to describe the devastation seen on the news the last few days.  Hard to comprehend entire neighborhoods GONE!  Lge boats & ships washed a shore & water running waist deep in Jersey & certain areas of NYC.

Sally, did Christos come with you, or did he stay in NYC?  Do you know yet if your home was damaged by wind or water?  How about your dtr, is she ok?

Ron Barker - Are you Ok?  Virginia was hit hard, how are you & your home?

Sandy Shellito - How about you!  Did you, your family & your home make it thru?

JD - I heard the wind was blowing a gale in Wis!  Are you & family OK?

We've heard from Ada Ann & she had electricity this mrng & things are Ok.  Let us here from the rest of you as soon as you're able.  Our prayers continue to go out to you & all the others devastated by this horrible storm.

Phew!  Between Facebook and our Guestbook, we have been able to track down classmates who made it through the terrible weather that slammed the east coast.  So glad to know that they are safe.

Sam....keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers.

You know it's a changing world when New Yorkers are running to Galveston to escape a hurricane; weird, but glad to read Sally T. is well.

Too late for me, JD. I've been in Sandy's way since our days on the playgrounds of Lisbon. She and Priscilla Gilbert had the BEST hair for pulling. Problem is that they could BOTH run faster than I could. My hair was too short to pull and they couldn't hit very hard.
Sam, this has been interesting, but time to put it to rest. Just the preping for all the procedures is enough to wear a person out. I know you enjoy having Sarah buy you a store bought breakfast, but time to put a stop to all this fun. Tell that doctor to fix it or we will procedure him to compare!! Praying for you!!

Sammy - I just know 3rd time is the charm!  I hate you have to keep going thru this, but this time, tell the Dr if he doesn't make this a good fix you want your money back!  Your in my prayers tonight!

Annette - thanks for letting us know Sally is safe in S. TX!  Please tell her I've been really worried abt her & happy to hear she's safe.  You girls have a great time tmo!!
