Place: FW Comments: That's not good about Sue. Her heart's pumping less than my Dad's was. God still performs miracles so maybe he'll perform one for Sue. My heart goes out for Mike and Sue and their families.
Place: Richardson Comments: I just recvd an Em from Everett & Jeri regarding Sue. I'm just going to copy & paste what they said in the Em. I don't know how much longer she can make it. Please pray for Sue & Mike too!! Here's the Em: "I just wanted to let you know Sue was admitted to CCU at Methodist yesterday and is on a ventilator. They don’t know when, but sometime within the last 7-10 days, she has had a heart attack. The Dr. said she is in heart failure and her heart is functioning at about 10%. Mike is holding out hope that she will rebound but it isn’t looking good. He’s says she’s a fighter and he feels she can pull through this one too. Mike asked the Dr. if her family should come to the hospital today to see her and the Dr. told him yes. Everett and I saw her Tuesday at Belmont and we were hoping for the best. It has been one thing after another since she was first admitted in October. Please ask everyone to keep them both in their prayers. Mike is totally mentally and physically exhausted. We have offered to stay with her to give him a break but he won’t let anyone stay as he feels he needs to be there."

I can't believe Marilyn does not have a Honey Do list for you! What gives?? I posted some new Grandones tonight. Take a look, it's a bargain . . . 5 for the price of one!!
Place: bigD Comments: I'm just checking in, read all the sad news and will pray for you all. and you too Sandy, having a birthday during Christmas, you kinda feel left out. This retirement is getting old already, nothing to do. Any advise anyone? Jack I'm sure you will have something to say, I value everything you say.

I hope you are feeling a bit better tda & can adjust to Sarah doing everything for you!!  Do you think you'll still be able to hold a bottle of beer & a cakeball on Sunday??Susan, if you are checking in, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious daddy.
Place: Calif. Comments: Sammy, I've been doing things left-handed for decades. In fact, all three Nance boys are left handed(no political jokes). I also took that same fall in the garage last year. The difference was the concrete cracked; I was just fine. Merry Christmas, and I'm glad you're ok.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Doing everything with your left hand, Sammy? Well, that certainly limits what you can do...or should I say, do efficiently! LOL Please do keep us informed. Let us know if we can do anything for the two of you.
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Gracie is actually doing pretty good. Will still have to make several trips to the plastic surgeon and it is still likely that she is going to have nerve damage over her left eye brow but they are thinking the scars will fade into her hair line at some point. she is such a happy little girl...we should all have such a great attitude!!!!
Place: Coppell Comments: Thanks guys for your concerns and prayers. Jack and Dale,I have concrete evidence I'm head and shoulders above most people. TOP THAT! Will keep all posted after I go to the Orthopaedic surgeon next week. Have to keep my arm in a sling for 4 weeks and do everything left handed.
Place: Richardson Comments: Recvd this short em from Susan Piland tda, a few min ago. She is in Waco with her dad. "Just wanted to let you guys know that Daddy passed away yesterday. He was in very bad shape and said several times that he was ready to die. I'll be in Waco for a while. I'm fine. Love you all" I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad Susan. Will keep you in my prayers. Sammy - I don't know what to say. I have nothing witty like Jack or Smiley. Take care of your shoulder & head and I will pray you'll be feeling better real soon!!

Place: 66erville Comments: Sam! What did I tell you about practicing your break dancing in the garage? This certainly calls for a new nickname. The floor is now open for suggestions. The easy ones are staple head, head banger and metal head. The extremes some people go to get out of chores.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: I just saw on Facebook, a post from Sarah Smith telling that Sammy fell in their garage, yesterday, and was hurt. Here is what she wrote:
Place: Richardson Comments: t/w Mike McDow few min ago. Here's the update. Yes, Sue has been trsfd bk to the Nursing facility. Mike said there are no visiting hrs there , you can come whenever. BUT, this week tda thru Fri is probably not a good idea. Right now she is having trouble recognizing people & Mike sd she probably wd not know any of us. ALSO, on Fri she is scheduled to have tests done a Methodist @ 1:30pm & will be gone from about Noon till around 3:30pm. They never schedule her PT, they just walk in & start working with her. She is recovering from the 3rd back surgery pretty good, but is so weak she can't walk or really do anything, that's why PT is necessary b4 she is allowed to go home. She will not be home for Christmas & will most likely be sometime after the 1st of the yr., just not sure how long past the 1st. For those of you asking about visiting Sue, Mike suggested waiting until after Fri since she is so disoriented right now. I know we're all busy this time of yr, but here's something all of us can do. Please take a few min of your day to address an envelope, write a personal note to Sue on a Christmas, Get-Well or Thinking of You card and mail it! Here's the add: The Belmont at Twin Creeks, Attn: Sue McDow, 999 Raintree Circle, Allen TX 75013. If you go see Sue, please identify yourself so she doesn't have to guess who you are, keep the conversation "light" and don't stay too long as it wears her out. That's it, now I'm going to address my card to Sue, hope many of you will do the same.
Place: Benbrook Comments: Sarah who has Melanoma has been sick. Heather, the oldest , had her thyroid removed because of cancer two weeks ago. She just went home from the hospital after taking the radioactive pill. Has to be by herself for several days. Sometime next week she will have a scan to see if it spread.Her husband , Paul is having sinus surgery next week.My whole household has been ill with the virus.Other stuff going on.Just pray for us too! |
