Place: Richardson Comments: Don was doing really good yesterday. He's got his balance back and walking very well. I think I can spring him Monday or Tuesday for sure. Unfortunately my sweet almost 16 y.o.kitty, Tiger, isn't doing well at all. His kidneys are failing. Not much I can do for him. Some meds, but they won't fix the problem. I'm just going to love him and give him all the attention he craves for as long as I can. Can't talk anymore about it. Y'all have a good day Later ๐ฟ

Place: Richardson Comments: Don is doing very well. They took his walker away bec he doesn't need it anymore. When I got there yesterday he had managed to shave that 6 weeks worth of growth. Starting to look more like my husband. Today he had already walked down the hall to the barber shop and got a haircut! He's feeling good and improving each day. Thanks to all our friends who supported us and prayed for us during this ordeal. We love and appreciate you. ๐๐ป

Place: North Richland Hills Comments: Sandy, so glad to hear things are going along as they should for Don. The rehab facility should help him a lot towards his recovery. Give him a hug for me and one for you too.
Place: Richardson Comments: The transport person picking up Don was there quick. Great service so far. They have taken care of everything. Got Don settled into room and unpacked. He was watching Cowboys when I left. I've been home about 40 minutes. Remington is only 6 miles from our house. Things will be much easier now. He needs a walker to get around but hopefully he'll get his strength back pretty quick. That's it for now. Tired and going to sit down and relax.
Place: Richardson Comments: We are cleared to go and papers signed. We're excited to start rehab and for him to be able to come home. God is good. ๐บ
Place: Richardson Comments: It looks like we may be leaving hospital and going to rehab tomorrow, Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed it's tomorrow. ๐ค10 days is long enough here.

Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you Ada Ann. You are so right, that's why I was determined to get him to a good place. Yesterday was the best day in the last 5 weeks. I believe we are at the top of a long hard climb up hill and the rest will be much easier. The main reason is No More Pain! Will let you know when he transfers to the rehab center. Thank you Ada Ann for posting the good news about Charles surgery. I did talk with him yesterday and he sounded good. He is home and friend is staying with him for a week since he can't drive yet. God heard all the many prayers for Charles and Don. Thank you. โค๏ธ๐ป

Place: Richardson Comments: I just can't stop talking. This is the first night I've got home and didn't have a million things to do. Paul, I hate to be the bearer of sad news but . . . The El Fenix there on Colorado is gone! ๐ฅ They tore it down and are in the process of building a big apartment complex. Everyday as I drive past it makes me sad. Also, last night when I got home my down stairs ac wasn't working ๐ hotter than an oven in the bedroom. Called our longtime AC guy and he actually answered at 6:30. Came out this morning and fixed it. ๐บ Ok, I'm thru for the night. Will let you know when we leave the hospital and go to rehab. . |
