Shortcake, I had about 4 1/2  days after taking all the meds to recuperate!  Last yr I made ea one a 50 photo album of the wk they spent with us and all the things they did.  They loved it!

Sammy - That Andy Brown Kid Country is wonderful.  I read where they tore it down late last yr & rebuilt it.  It was so nice & we really enjoyed the time there.

I have to tell you what my brother did this past week.  Last Sat he drove from here to Idabel, Ok.  There he met up with 599 other bicyclist.  They loaded their tents & bags in a truck & then proceeded to ride from Idabel to Joplin, Mo.  That's 519 miles!!  The truck drove ahead of them & when they got to the designated stop they pitched tent & camped out.  They had pre-arranged places & 3 of the 7 nites they were able to camp inside a sch gym with A/C & use the showers.  Not my cup of tea!!  When they got to Joplin yesterday they got on a bus & it brought them back to Idabel & he then drove home.  Got in last nite about 11:30pm.  We were over there tda for lunch & he was a little whipped!!  He said there was a 71 yr old guy riding & an 87 yr old guy.   The 87 yr old has bn doing this ride for 32 yrs!!  This ride has bn taking place for 37 yrs.  I asked him if he ever considered quitting & he said,  "How could I, if two old men ages 71 & 87 were doing it!!"    BTW, my brother rides all the time & rides 40, 50 & even 70 mile rides on the weekends all the time, but this trip was a hum dinger!!

Certainly hope your sinuses cleared up before your granddaughter got there SNL. I know you were pretty worn out when I talked to you. Did you get back to the Dr. Or what? Sounds like you guys are really having a great time with your one-on-one time. That is a great idea. You should go into my publisher.com. Or snapfish and make her a book of the pictures you took. That is what I do for shelby and chase after we have them for a week. Not sure who likes it most...them or their moms.
Happy Fathers Day to all of the SOC Dads. Hope you have a great day.

You & me both Rick!!  Seven and 1/2  hrs out in upper 90 degree weather & riding rides sucks the life right out of you!!  But I would highly recommend Summer Adventures to anyone with kids or if you just want to have a great time & act like a kid!  But I wd advise you to ck the weather & try to pick a day when it's either overcast (like tda) or predicted to be less than the upper 90s!  If you're interested . . .  call me & I'll give you the lowdown.

I posted a really cute pic of Don with our 4 G-kids.  It was taken last Sunday when he went down to pick up April & attended the boys baseball game.  Do ck out the P&J pg!!

Toni - we've had so much fun we're worn to the nub!!  Spent 2 & half hrs at Andy Brown Kid's Play Park  on Tuesday then swimming in the afternoon.  Wed we spent from 10:15 am to 6:00pm at the new Fair Park Summer Adventures.  Great place!  Lots of fun & Don & I had a blast as well. Acted like kids again! You pay an entrance fee and all the rides, shows and museums are included!!  We rode so many rides & the best ones many  many times!  Saw the butterflies, aquarium, dog show, cat show, bird show and everything in between.  But after all day in the heat we were all whipped!!  We've baked cupcakes, swam everyday & movies.  Been a l-o-n-g wk but what a blast!!

Jack, did a lot of research before buying Zoya GrassTx A&M also spent a lot of money in researching this Tx Grass. It's heat tolerant, designed for Texas. Also takes litter water & Fertilizer.

HAY hay Rick, when we moved here we brought 4-pallets of Zoya Grass guess who put it all out. Arkansas has several grass plants that cater to Dls & Houston area, bring the Trailer & load up, it's cheap @ the plant.

St Augustine is what I planted in the front yard. Cost me 85cents a square.
I started playing summer league soft ball on the Church team last Monday. I'm worn out. played catcher first game and first base 2nd game. I need practice.
Roe, cutting hay sounds like work. I guess when you're a farmer the work is never done.

Sam, Cody Jack must be taking lessons from ME. If he was following in your footsteps he'd be pumping iron.  Quite the nappy dresser too. Are you his fashion consultant??
