Place: 66erville Comments: In that case, Toni please check Bruce's car again. I am pretty sure that I left my entire golf bag in his car. If I could only remember if they were Taylormades or Calaways. I could sure use a new set! According to McGee new clubs will improve any game by 10 strokes! I heard somewhere that you should rub lotion on Bruce's bruises. I don't know if it will make them heal any faster, but I know it will make Bruce FEEL better!!
Place: Garland USA Comments: Thanks to all who are keeping Bruce in your thoughts and prayers. His left shoulder and upper chest have finally turned an ugly black and green color. He says he feels as though a prize fighter has punched him in the chest. The doctor told him to expect the pain for several weeks. Believe it or not, he has continued to keep going. I think he's afraid that if he doesn't, he will really feel bad. The guy who caused the wreck filed a claim and advised his insurance that he was at fault. So far they have agreed to pay for everything INCLUDING his broken golf club! We will sure be glad to have this ordeal behind us!
Place: Richardson Comments: TNX Shortcake, but they are Lady Bugs! You know, summer . . . lady bugs. Just wanted to put some color in it & make a change. I'm looking for some other cute images to brighten it up throughout the yr. If I find time to make that pie, I'll let you know if it's good.  Honestly, we are on the go most all day nearly every day when the G-kids are here. We have found lots of "free" things to do plus the Dollar movie house has two kid's movies showing. Our big splurge will be all day at Summer Adventure at Fair Park. It's $25 ea to get in but then all the rides, shows and the Aquarium & Butterfly Gardens are included in the price. Actually, the biggest expense is the FOOD & DRINKS!! The Midway at Fair Park hasn't been open in over 30 yrs. I think it's great it is open again!! It was a great time and April dearly loved it, so I'm sure her two brother will too.
Place: Garland Comments: SNL....GB looks really great...almost like Christmas! You did a great job - as usual. Now you can rest and make my pie!
Place: Richardson Comments: Oh No David!! Al had a heart attack!!! I really like Al and enjoyed kidding with him at the rehearsal and that night. I'm glad he is in the hospital and recovering and not the alternative!! Thanks for letting us know and if you communicate with his brother, Glenn, please let him know I am praying for Al. Do let us know when he is able to come home as I would like to send some get-well cards to him. Sammy - No that intersection where Bruce was hit isn't in Richardson. It is actually in Garland. I live in East Richardson but about 2 blks from my house is a Garland City Limit sign. My dentist is right there on that corner.
Place: Southlake Comments: Big Al Struble Glenn's brother had a heart attack last week while on vacation. Had bypass still in hosp in Salt lake City, in good condition.Played with us at the last reunion, and Chill Factor.
Place: YMCA Comments: Jack, Started my continuous rehab at the Coppell YMCA this week as no longer with BCBS. Medicare started now and my new Medicare PPO has the Silver Sneakers program. It is a free service and I can use all the same equipment and physical therapy stuff I used at the rehab center.Pretty neat. Will give u an update this Friday.
Place: 66erville Comments: Sam, you still re-habbing? What are you up to now? How many reps? I know you had a goal of doing the Deb high kick, but you probably ought to scale that back a bit.
Place: Coppell Comments: Toni, sorry to hear about Bruce. Thank The Lord he is doing better. I'm not familiar with that intersection. Is this in the Richardson area?
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Toni, I am so glad Bruce is OK. The car can always be replaced. I am sure both of you are pretty shook up over this. You two are in my prayers.
Place: 66erville Comments: So sorry to hear of Bruce's mishap. Glad to hear he is just banged up and not hurt to bad. I'm sure Toni is taking good care of him and he will heal up good as new. Toni, when will the service for the 3 wood take place? I know he was close to it, but he can and will train a new one to preform just as well.
Place: The Ranch Comments: Toni, I'm so sorry that Bruce had an awful accident & very thankful that he is OK. I hope he heals quickly from the wreck!
Place: Richardson Comments: Toni - I know that intersection well. I go southbound on Brand to Belt Line & go left to get to Sheila's place. She does my hair. I pass your house going & coming. That's also the intersection where my dentist is located. I will think of Bruce's accident every time I travel thru there from now on!! 
Place: Garland USA Comments: We won't actually know if his car is totaled until tomorrow but there is no engine left! A car ran a red light at Brand and Beltline as he was traveling southbound on Beltline. The other man (Bruce's age!) was driving a minivan and his car was t-boned by Bruce. Luckily, a kind man who was right behind Bruce stopped and was there when the police and ambulance arrived, and apparently the man confirmed to the police what happened and who caused the accident. We finally got a police report printed off from our computer yesterday. Bruce went to the police station and they told him exactly how to read the report. According to the police, Unit 1 is always the car at fault...Bruce was Unit 2! The man did have insurance with State Farm so we should be a two car family again soon. Still think it's a small miracle he's alive! Thanks for your thoughtfulness.
Place: FW Comments: Toni - So glad to hear that Bruce wasn't injured any worse than he was! Tell him I'm giving lots of thanks for His protection. |
