Place: 66erville Comments: I'd guess they are committing for the mini. I guess they did it through classmates because there is a reply button on the email notice. The double D ranch in Mesquite, eh Sam. Did you have ANYTHING to do with picking the place, Sam?? Is it like the chicken ranch or the bunny ranch??
Place: Richardson Comments: That's funny Susan!! But sometimes we get so comfortable with each other, especially after we retire, that one day slips into another. Don is always asking me," What is today?" I tell him, Look at the newspaper in your hand, it will tell you! LOL Hope you got a great BD card!! Glad you are staying for dinner Susan, I'll put you on the dinner list!
Place: Richardson Comments: Great Jack! So if I understand correctly . . . KRL, Janice S & Fay P have committed via Classmates? What are they committing to, Mini or to Dinner. I can understand Fay or Janice, but why in the world would KRL respond thru Classmates?? Oh, well. I'll send each of the ones you mentioned a note to thank them for planning to attend, and ask them to let me know later on in early Nov if they plan to stay for dinner. Thanks for the FYI on Mike & McDermotts too! Really hope they all can come. Sammy, hate that it ended up being on same night as Sarah's reunion, but will be glad to see you both for a few hrs before you hustle off to set up for the big event. Good Luck to Sarah, hope it goes well.

Place: FW Comments: SNL, I'm officially RSVPing in the affirmative. As far as Jake being especially nice to me today, for the first time in 24 years, he forgot my birthday! I guess the honeymoon is over! I forgave him, but I made him go buy me a card!
Place: Coppell Comments: Sarah's 45th high school reunion is the evening of 11-9. Since she is on the reunion committee, we will need to be at the Double D Ranch in Mesquite @5:00 to set up. We will be able to see all for a couple of hours, but not stay for dinner.
Place: 66erville Comments: Happy Birthday, Susan!! With wishes for many more. To paraphrase: I think what we have here is a failure to commit. SNL makes plans early so everybody has time to plan it in their schedules and come. I put the word out through Classmates as soon as plans are confirmed for the same reason. FYI, SNL, Shortcake, Fay Pool and Janice Scallorn have committed and David McDermott and Micheal Morrison said Maybe through classmates. Does everybody else thinks over a month away is too far out to commit?? Any chance you can makes it, Carol? How about you, Coasty Don?

It's been 2 days since I posted all the info & the invitation . . . no one except Mario Fuentes has RSVPd or even acknowledged it. What gives??
Place: Announcement - Next Mini Comments: I have posted the official announcement for the SOC '66 & Friends Mini. All the details are on the Events pg of our site. Click link below for easy access! http://soc1966.com/events.html Please note, if you will be staying for the buffet dinner, or you're only able to make it for the dinner . . . you must RSVP to me. The chef needs to know how many to expect so he will have adequate food! Please read the invite & let me know. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone as it seems like ages since we've gathered. Heard from Mario Fuentes and he & Barbara have RSVPd for the dinner & the Mini!!!  Hope to hear from many more as we roll into Oct.  ** Saturday, November 9th @ 2:00pm - Holiday Inn ! ! !
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Just remember that a lot of you were card carrying age well before I was  and some of you were not but should have been....lol Watch it Hawk - I know a lot of aggies in your neighborhood....I will tell them where you live....plus we could just have all of our fire friends test their sirens when they go past your house!

Place: Richardson Comments: Well, I try to jump on these questions . . . so here's the answer Ronney. Our Fall Mini will be held Saturday, November 9th at the Holiday Inn on Central Expwy!! Same place as last time. Everyone really enjoyed the new location as it was quiet, service was good AND at 6:00pm they served us a dinner buffet right there in the dinning room which connects to the bar! No caravanning to a restaurant & waiting to be seated in a crowded dinning room! We had a very good Mexican Buffet which included Guacamole, Dessert and Iced Tea or Coffee. All for $10 per person plus tax & tip!! It was a good deal and the food was really good! It's a private dinning experience just for us!! You see, the cafe is closed on Saturday night & they do this just for us! Please mark your calendar & reserve this date: Saturday, November 9th at the Holiday Inn on Central Expy. It will be from 2:00 to 6:00pm with dinner served on-site at 6:00pm You will need to RSVP to me if you plan to stay for the Buffet Dinner
Place: Allen, TX Comments: I'm not at all surprised that Shortcakes has an 18-year-old grandchild. She was "light years" older than the rest of us. hahah!! Uh-oh!! I am in REAL trouble now. Good looking grandson, Reynolds-Wrap!!
