Place: Garland USA Comments: Good grief...where has the time gone? I had no idea it had been so long since I checked in on you all. I barely knew that Shortcake got home safely from Colorado! SNL enjoyed our chat and I think you should make the next banana pudding. Bruce and I will have Jack's portion. I have had a delightful summer with my grandones. We have done all sorts of things and enjoyed all of it even if it meant they were successful in wearing me completely out! My oldest grandson got accepted to his high school baseball class as a freshman and my middle grandson has decided to try his hand at football. His first scrimmage was very impressive although I thought I was going to lose feeling in my lower extremities ....2 hrs. and 15 min. It would have been much more enjoyable had I remembered my seat cushion which was left in my car...at my son's house! I will remember next time! The youngest, Hudson, is 3 going on 21, and no other explanation is necessary...what a grandone he is!! So glad this summer is coming to a close...have never seen so many brown yards. So sorry to hear about Gary Hudspeth. Wishing all of those who celebrated birthdays this summer a happy belated birthday as well.
Place: 66erville Comments: Shortcake, I thought you liked Chase! Can't believe you would let him grow up to be an aggie!!!
Place: Richardson Comments: There's a new Grandone posted on our P&J page. Our Grandones sure grow up quick!! Shortcake, are you really the Grandma of an 18-year-old?? I see they fixed the posting page, now we have all kinds of editing tools. Looks like they updated it too.
Place: Richardson Comments: Fall reminds me of Daisies, or Daisies remind me of Fall?? I know the pop-up for entering a post isn't appearing correctly. You can still post, just no editing ability. I reported it to the tech people.
Place: Benbrook Comments: Sorry to hear about Gary Hudspeth. Just to let you know, my daughter that ad her thyroid removed due to cancer, well, its back. Please remember her in your prayers.Wish I had the cancer from both daughters and they were well.Pray for all of us!
Place: Richardson Comments: Thanks McGee. I've been wondering what the status was since Sammy told us he was being taken off life-support. So sad, way too young. Your right, tee up, don't wait until "the next time", as there may not be a Next Time! My thoughts and prayers will certainly be with Gary Hudspeth's family and his '67 family too!
Place: tee box Comments: Gary Hudspeth passed away Wednesday at 4:30 a.m. There will be no service. Lots of memories in football and baseball. Great guy, leader of the 67' group. Better tee it up and play hard, life is short.
Place: Richardson Comments: It's been 12 yrs since the WTC's were destroyed and so many lives were lost. Seems like only a short while ago, doesn't it. These are two pics I like. I prefer these over the very disturbing photos of the attack & aftermath. It's better to look forward with hope than look back with sadness and despair. I'm sure each of us remembers exactly where we were when the images started appearing on TV. I was at Love Field waiting for a flight to Tulsa. Saw it unfold there on the terminal TV. When all flights were canceled & airport shut down, I drove home and sat & stared at the TV for 24 hrs. Here are Before & After pics!
Place: KC, MO Comments: Very sad news about Gary. Thinking of his family and friends. Dale, I've been sharing your post with folks here at work. It gets a laugh every time. I remember learning that song - the one about the New Testament, not the one about the "exs" in Texas! "Speech-a-fying" from the Oval Office tonight - time to clean out the cat's litter pan! Take care, everyone. Love to all. - Carol
Place: DS Comments: So sorry to hear about Gary. Prayers for him and his family. Must have been the preacher's son, Smiley Funny!
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm watching the Rangers and checking em. Now I'm laughing!!! Smiley, that was so darn funny. I was thinking, gee, how long before this gets funny . . . then. LOL LOL Love it!!!
Place: Grosvenor, Texas Comments: I think Chris Paul tried this at church one Sunday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIvupevIc44
Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you Sammy for the info on Gary Hudspeth, SOC '67. I knew back at our 40th and then '67's 40th that he was ill, but was told not to ask questions as he didn't want to worry the class. He & the other planning committee were asking me info about how & what we did & at our 40th and what vendors I used. Gary has always been a real nice guy and it is troubling that it has come to this. Prayers for Gary and his family as they make the toughest decision of their life.
Place: Coppell Comments: I received a call from Terry Hubbard Fisk (class of 1967) last night and she said Gary Hudspeth suffered a stroke recently. He is being taken off life support today. I remember Gary from the Lisbon area of Oak Cliff. He was a really nice guy and fun to be around. His sister has asked for prayer and guidance today. I told Terry I would pass this along to our class. Please pray for the family. |
