Place: McKinney, TX Comments: Karen, My daughter took me to the LocalYocal. Fun place to go and explore. We didn't buy anything that day, but I expect I'll be back. Still learning my way around. One day I was going to WalMart and drove too far on Eldorado, saw a Kroger, and decided to shop there. Now I know that WalMart is on Lake Forest off Eldorado. Was in Lakeway 5 days this time and the babies are growing and staying awake more. Was so much fun to hold them and love on them. Lots of diapers being used............
Place: Coppell Comments: It happens Sandy. Our 11 year old lives in McKinney and only saw him a handfull of times this summer. Garrett is growing up way too fast. It's a bummer they are reaching their teen years, but we spoil them while we can. Daughter and daughter- in- law both have to detox them after spending time with us. Ha!
Place: Richardson Comments: Amen Sammy! I'm afraid once they hit 12 or 13 it will be over. They won't be interested in spending a week with us since they live SW of Austin. They will have friends and be involved in teenager stuff!! It's a good time in life when they still think G-ma & G-pa know everything and they love being with us!!! I hope they will cherish these times as much as we will. Of course, when the triplets hit 13, Brooklyn will not yet be 8. So still got one to go. But I bet they all remember the fun times we've had at the Pool, Zoo, Amusement Parks, Miniature Golf, Train Rides, Baking Cupcakes, etc!! They grow up waaay too fast!
Place: Coppell Comments: We are having fun with our grandkids spending the night, watching them play in the pool, taking them to a movie and the park. Let's face it guys, there will come a time when they are teenagers that they will move on and not visit us as much, so we enjoy them when they are little. They will share the memories of visiting grandma's and grandpa's and how we spoiled them when they have kids Cherish the moments group.
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Talk about feeling old - remember all the pictures I used to send of Chase when he was a little boy and all the cute things he used to do? Well that cute little boy turned 18 today! Boy are his parents ever getting old ......not me of course! Several girls took him to lunch today....he does not believe in narrowing it down to one girl - he has several. I raised him right!
Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - No wonder you are the popular Grandpa! Those fudge bars sure look good, especially today! Cody Jack is getting so big!
Place: 66erville Comments: Smiley, go empty your mailbox. You're missing some good stuff I'm sending. What kind of outfit you with that still limits emails?? Or is that hand-cranked computer of yours doesn't have enough memory?
Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Let's see now - I just finished reading about 8 pages .....did not get to read much while I spent the last 3 weeks in Colorado where the temp has been about 75 during the day and in the 50's at night - great weather!!!!! Looked at the temp on my car when we got home yesterday and it showed 96 - started to go back!!!! Oh well! Welcome Home! Happy BD to everyone whose BD's I missed and glad you all got your cards also. I got mine about a month ago and Bobby got his right before we left although his BD is not until November!
Place: Richardson Comments: Some new Grandones on Pride & Joy! Ck out how Grandpa Sam cools 'em down. I'm sorry if some of the pics are small and won't enlarge, but many of you are sending me pics taken with cell phos and at a very low resolution. I can't enlarge them and the system can't make them any bigger either.
Place: 66erville Comments: Happy Birthday, Dan! Hope you have many more. During my walk this morning I came across a house that had been papered. They did a pretty good job except there were several rolls that still had lots of paper on them. A new twist I noticed was there were hundreds of plastic forks stuck in the ground. Does this have a special meaning or just more stuff for the "honored kid" to clean up?? Things change but some traditions live on!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Well Happy B-day to my sweet dear friend Danny Bob! Hope the 15th was a real good one for you!! You know David, he hates it when we call him Danny Bob!!! But old habits are hard to break, started back in early Lisbon. It was funny bec at the 45th reunion the whole time we were setting up & y'all were practicing he kept calling me Sandra. I didn't mind at all, just shows many of us have roots going waaay back! And No . . . you didn't sound gay, sounded like a heart felt wish for a very good friend!!
Place: Sachse Comments: Great photos of Rod's grandkids. Love the action shots and the water really did look inviting. Linda, great news about your daughter and 2 new grandones for you and Rudy. Congratulations. Hope you enjoy your new home in McKinney. I've been trying to get over to LocalYocal, the grass-fed meat market that's over there. Mike's daughters really like it.
Place: Southlake Comments: Happy birthday Danny Bob, yesterday 8/15, I miss the right day every year. Hope you had a Good Time, Baby. Did that sound gay? I do love you. Not gay.
Place: Richardson Comments: Linda - so nice to hear from you again. Thought you might have gotten swallowed up by a Frisco sink hole! Geezz, emergency surgery for Rudy & trying to move at the same time!! Bummer!!! Glad you are 98% moved. The last time we moved I thought someone was sneaking into our old place ad putting stuff back in there!! It's amazing how much stuff we accumulate over the yrs. Hope things are good in Frisco & you are enjoying being close to one of your dtrs. Congratulations on the twins!! Wow, big babies. So glad mom & babies are doing well. Have fun next week, with two, you each can have your own baby to take care of!! You're a good Grandma!! |
