Place: Coppell Comments: Other than the issue with being inundated with AARP mail solicitors, I keep getting notices from them that my yearly membership fee is due. This is only after I signed up and paid for two years in 2012. I'm paid until November 2014. Their computer system is so antiquated they evidently are not hanging the acorn in the squirrel cage to power it. I for one will not be renewing my membership. Thanks for the website Jack.
Place: Richardson Comments: Very busy this wk. Been preparing for our neighborhood Garage Sale this Fri & Sat! Starts 8:00am! If anyone is interested, we have 6 very nice framed pictures for sale. 3 are Custom Framed & Matted. Also some Ofc Splys, 91-piece set of Dansk dishes, 2 large framed mirrors, and lots of nice household items. Some were my Mom & Dad's and others just don't work in this house! Funny how things can look so good in one house & not work at all in another house!! I also had more kit counter space & book shelves in the other house. If you're interested, you know where I live! Starts at 8:00am!! BTW - Jack TNX for the interesting website! I liked it. I dropped out of AARP about 3 yrs ago. They insisted on inundating me with solicitation for products. No matter how many times I asked them to stop & even put it in writing, they continued. I quit paying dues & it stopped.
Place: 66erville Comments: FYI: For those of you out there who don't like AARP I found another "senior" org that you should look into. It is AMAC, Association of Mature American Citizens. The website is www.amac.us. Take a look at it and see if you like what they stand for and what they are doing.
Place: Coppell Comments: Right Jack. Be right over. By the way, in case your dishwasher stops working you can use mine. Sarah only charges $10.00 per hour.
Place: 66erville Comments: Sam, when you finish at your house, bring your cleaning supplies and come over and you can look for them at my house too!!
Place: Coppell Comments: Sandy, We will be doing some major fall cleaning. I 'll look for it again. Strange thing is I had two of them and now none.
Place: Skeptical in Richardson Comments: Sammy - Good one. I have Sarah's but she is by herself in the little plastic baggie. But that doesn't let you off the hook, you still hve to come to the 50th with Sarah! I'll just have to make you another one.
Place: Coppell Comments: SNL.... Badges? We don't have no stinkin' badges!
Place: Lazy S Ranch Comments: Jack, Don't see why not but I haven't run it by the boss.......Uh, I mean I will make MY decision soon.
Place: I'm over in Richardson Comments: That's it Sam, you're not gonna get it cause you already been got. (could that be again??) SNL, I think we need to play Pin the Tail at the mini. Sam gets to go first. Hi Smiley. We gonna get to see your smiling face at the mini this time?
Place: Coppell Comments: Well shoot. Ref:my last post. Can't find the pin # access screen,my checking account credited for $700, called the 800# and it's disconnected. I don't get it.
Place: Richardson Comments: Someone (not saying any names) is treading on thin ice! Might be a big wind blowing thru the Sachse area real soon!!
Place: Grosvenor, Texas Comments: Jack, Dat's funny. Not sure I would rattle her cage.
Place: 66erville Comments: Sure, Shortcake. I'll gladly take the info. Never can have to much info. Thanks!! You think the gulf coast would switch Karens with us?? Probably be about the same amount of wind, but we would benefit from the rain.
Place: Kerrville Comments: Hey jack...my youngest daughter went to an estate sale and bought a radio/turntable etc etc that has tubes in it. Some worked and some did not. Her husband took it to someone they found and got it fixed and it works great now. They live out by you. I can find out where they took it if you want to know. They are big into estate sales and buying antiques and really like things like that. |
