Place: 66erville Comments: Rick, I know you are not a "tube" guy. I want to see if you think you can do anything with the wood and veneer cabinet. Would appreciate any info you have about a repair facility that can/will work on a tube job. Sam, once again you have left me sitting here shaking my head. Your technical capabilities and knowledge have always astounded me.
Place: Coppell Comments: Rick, unfortunately when we hit the power button, it makes a buzzing noise. Prior to that, it made the most awesome sound. Jack, Can't hook it up that way.. The catamaracdishingshang is working up 'n down the flabbergabber.
Place: bigD Comments: Sam, That's very impressive, are you still using it? I think my Mom has one too. It would make a good boat anchor right along with Jacks Ice Hole.
Place: bigD Comments: Sorry Jack, I don't have tubes that old. I know there are still repair shops that work on old ones like that. I will look through some old business cards for a repair man that works on them if you want me to.
Place: Richardson Comments: Now that is funny!!! He got the black singing grp, "The Temptations" confused with those 2 white dudes, The Righteous Bros!??? Was he about 20?? Richard, if the Righteous Bros perform together, be sure to let me know how they looked!
Place: Calif. Comments: Here's a "how old are we story". Mary Ann & I sitting in a Newport Beach restaurant when the waiter came up and asked if I am a "Temptations" fan. I said, "who isn't"? He said one of them is sitting one table over. I'm looking around all over the place; Newport Beach isn't known for its diversity. I keep asking "where"? He said right there in the light blue shirt, that's Bill Medley of the Temptations. "Bill Medley"? I think you mean the Righteous Brothers. He said, oh yeah...I get them confused. So, I don't know if the waiter's just too young, or he was placing me in an era he doesn't appreciate. He also said "they" were going to perform in NPB. I said that was doubtful since Bobby Hatfield died a few years ago. These youngsters just can't appreciate vintage art.
Place: Sunny & beautiful in Richardson Comments: It was a busy wkend! Friday Night Lights in Driftwood and early game Sat, then back home. Had conduct the Annual HOA meeting Sunday at 1:00 as our President of 7 yrs resigned 8-6. It went well & hopefully that will be the last big event for our HOA unti next Spring for the Pool Opening Party! FYI - I have a lot of name tags & I promise not to make you wear them at the Mini, but I do need everyone's Reunion Name Tag back!! Those that came to the reunion & haven't returned your ID yet are Shortcake, Sammy and McMakin. Please look for your ID and bring it to the mini. Every ID I have, is one less I have to have made next time. If anyone else is coming to the Mini & you still have your ID . . . PLEASE bring it with you!! Thanks!!
Place: 66erville Comments: Shoot Sam, just hook the turntable drive belt to the wheels on the legs, install a steering wheel and drive that tank over!! Remember to lean into the curves.
Place: Copell Comments: Rick, I have a 1969 Penncrest (JC Penney) console stereo five feet long, two feet wide and 2.5 feet high. Weighs over 300 lbs. Looks like will also fit in Jack's car.

Place: Copell Comments: Ok, I don't get it. All week long we were told rain 1.5- 2" Saturday evening into Sunday morning. DFW ended up with .40. I want my inch and a half as promised doggone it!
Place: 66erville Comments: Rick, it is 31" tall, 12" deep and 25" wide. Will it fit? The SOC teams didn't win the BMF Tourney but we didn't finish last either! It was a great day with great people(just a little humid). Weirdest part was I only put ONE ball in the water! That's a win for me!
Place: Richardson Comments: Getting ready to head to Dripping Springs to see boys play game tonight & early in the mrng, then back home. Had a wonderful time last night at Donnie & Barb's house! For those that didn't make it . . . You missed a great evening. Got a preview of an upcoming event regarding BMF Project and all the hard work & accomplishments they have done. Nice visiting with everyone & as always . . . Barb has more food than can possibly be eaten. All of it was yummy!! I nearly OD'd on cream puffs!!  Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful weather today on the golf course & may your scores be extremely low!!

We are headed to Driftwood sometime tmo to catch a Baseball game Fri afternoon & a Football game early Sat mrng. Gng to see our G-sons play! Thanks Jack, glad y'all can make it Nov 9th & stay for dinner!! Shaping up to be a big turnout. We're gng to see several people we haven't seen in a long time & some that have never been to a Mini. Rosemary, McMakin & Janice Scallorn have signed on!!! |
