I saw a post on '64s GB from David Mitchell on 11-30 saying his older brother Robert had passed away.  I sent David Em & didn't want to say anything until I heard bk frm David.  He cld me tda, here's the info.

His brother, Robert frm Cl '64, had a heart attack on Tues, 11-26.  He & David saw ea other on Sun B4 Thanksgiving & Robert was coming to David's hse for Thanksgiving.  David cld him all day Wed and no answer.  He finally cld Apt Mgr & she went dwn to ck.  Next thing David got was a call from police saying they had fnd Robert deceased.  They found a receipt on counter dated Tue, so they believe he passed away some time Tue & was found late Wed.  Here are the arrangements.

Family Visitation: Wed,Dec 4th 6 to 8pm at Laura Land Funeral Home.  They have asked for donations to Toys for Tots instead of flowers.  There will be a box there with Robert's name on it to accept donations or toys.

Services:
Thursday, Dec 5 at Noon at Laura Land F.H.

Burial:
Thursday, Dec 5 will be at the DFW Veteran's Cemetery following the services at Laura Land.

Please keep David & his family in your prayers as it has been a rough few yrs for them and this was unexpected and devastating.

Good News!!  Charles just cld . . .  first surgery went great!  They didn't find any clogged or blocked arteries, so no stents needed.  That's good and well bode well for his upcoming heart surgery.  He was starving & waiting for his dinner.

Yes, at 10:30am Charles checks into St. Paul hosp & later tda has the angioplasty.  He'll remain in hosp to gain strength & keep his lungs clear so he can have heart surgery the following Monday.  T/W him last night & he sd to tell everyone how much he appreciates your prayers.  Prayer warriors, he needs all our prayers that he will come thru both surgeries and have a full recovery!!

Tmo will be 3 wks  since my surgery & I thought I'd have my house & tree decorated this past wkend & a wks worth of Christmas shopping done.  But . . .  I have been wrong before.    My goal tda is to put away the Thanksgiving decorations!  Don & I were happy that we made it to my brother's hse for Thanksgiving.  We both looked pathetic!!  Me with no make-up, purple streaks dwn my face and a black lip and Don looking like he had 3rd degree burns & itching like crazy.  But tda we both are looking much better & it's a new wk.   I certainly have a better appreciation for the good health I normally have and better understanding of how difficult it must be for those with chronic long-term health issues.  It has be very difficult for them to face those problems day in & day out.

I'm going to try & remove all the Thanksgiving images tda.  It's easier to delete them than add them.

Had a great Thanksgiving lunch with the family and an even greater afternoon of Cowboy football!  I convinced Bruce that we should get all of the Christmas decorations up and he kicked into high gear and we have everything done - both inside and out.  Newest addition are the LED pine cones on the patio!  I even have my Christmas cards ready to mail.

SNL....enjoyed the chat.  We wish both you and Don get well wishes.   We will definitely keep Charles Moss in our thoughts and prayers as he undergoes surgery tomorrow morning.  So glad to hear about Linda's twin grandones being released.  That disease is very difficult to overcome.

So, my Son was driving from McKinney yesterday and he was low on fumes. I asked him if he stopped for gas and he told me "No Dad I passed several gases" I carved the turkey yesterday and he cut the cheese for us.

So, we spent three days, four hours and 37 minutes preparing the meal for our family, only to be consumed in 42.5 minutes. We had a great time with all.
Susan, no problems here opening the pics.

John,
Shot two turkeys Tuesday morning. One is in the oven , the other is in the turkey roaster. All the trimmings are ready. Ten year old grandson took a big 7-point for us to eat after the turkey is gone. Happy Turkey Day to all !!

[Excuse the previous double-post to McKee. I've been hitting the eggnog since 6:00a.m.]

Memo To Dale Smiley:

Be sure to wear a hat today so Yuvonne won't accidentally confuse you with the OTHER turkey. I'd hate to see you get sliced up by mistake.

Memo To Ronney McKee:

When you go to the SOC/Wylie game be loyal and sit in the dead-center of the SOC crowd. Be sure to wear a red sweater over your band jacket so's if the game is televised we'll be able to pick you out of the mob.

Oh, and bring a throw-down wallet filled with fake pictures and play money just in case there's an unfortunate incident on the way back to the parking lot.
