Just spoke with Charles Moss.  He is back in St.Paul hospital again, he has pneumonia.  He doesn't think he ever really got over it before he went home.  They're pumping him up with antibiotics.   Note: The bldg. doesn't say "St Paul" on it, instead it says UT Southwestern. It's still called St Paul but it doesn't read that way on the bldg.  Go figure!

Yes Barb, I can't wait to see it finished either!  I hope this isn't going to be one of those "30 minute" jobs that ends up taking 3 months!!     Don says it'll only take 5 to max of 6 wks.  So . . .   I'm guessing 8 wks outta do it!!

Sam, I heard a rumor that during your "pre-op" meeting you slipped the Doc a bonus for "enhancement" work. That's not true is it??

Rod, good to see you showing up here. Don't be a stranger.

Rick - as of today, it's all ripped down to the studs.  Even the window shutter is gone.  Looks really weird & bare.  We're using the Jack & Jill bath upstairs until it can all be replaced and finished.  We're excited, we think it's going to look so pretty.

My procedure will be Wednesday, February 5th@12:00. I just had my two hour pre-op physical with my family doctor. Will meet with the hospital surgical team including nurses, doctors, and anesthesiologist on Jan 30th. At this time I will find out how long I will be in Zale Lipshy hospital.
Thanks for your prayers during this time.

JD called and ask me to deliver a message to all our Texas group.  And I quote, "No complaining about your upcoming freezing weather".  He said they have had 40+ inches of snow, of course there has been some melting, thank goodness, temperature was 15 or -15 (I don't remember).  He was in a McDonald's line and we got disconnected.  Personally I'm tired of the cold weather and looking forward to spring and summer.  Not complaining just sayin'
Oh, he's also ready to play some golf...good luck guys Hopes to be down for the next get together.
SNL, sounds like you have a job for Don to do  Good luck on the remodel.
Hope all are well.

Sorry if I shut the door on anyone. Sandy I have done similar projects at my
house too. Now I am restoring a old kitchen cabinet probably made in the early 1900's

Not sure what happened Rod.  I think Rick closed the door when he left???

Now that we are both healthy again, we have started our first big project for 2014.  We are taking out all the tile in our master bath & taking down the old glass & brass shower enclosure.  Not only does the tile cover the inside walls of the shower, it also covers the large shower seat and goes around the tub & the inside of the bay window.  Lots of 6x6 white tiles!!!

We have some beautiful 10"x16" tile picked out, along with the trim pieces and also some beautiful green glass accent pieces that are 2"x1" to go around the shower as an accent. Don started yesterday & took out half of the tile & he and I wrestled the 4 pieces of glass & framing for the shower out & into the yard.  Removing that contraption was harder than removing the tiles!  Tda he has finished removing all the tile & the greenboard.  We're about to leave & head to the city dump to get rid of all of it.  Don's loading the Edge now.  Gotta go.

Hello, anyone there ?
Did Texas close up ?
We are finally out of the fog that has been hanging around for several days, almost forgot that the sky was blue, thought it had turned gray.
