Place: Coppell Comments: Charles can also be reached via ecard. The front desk will print and take if to his room. The web address is lifecare-hospitals.com/ecard. I just sent him one. Sarah and I will be seeing him Monday since my appointment with the urological surgeon is a few blocks down.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Thanks, Sandy. They sure do grow up fast. Will be celebrating Lila's 2nd birthday on Saturday, Jan. 11. When she was here for Christmas, Lila was into everything. So much fun. But, you have to stay on your toes to try and stay one step ahead of her. LOL
Place: Richardson Comments: Ronney - That photo of Lila is precious! She is so cute! Can't believe she is about to be 2. They grow up so fast.
Place: Richardson Comments: I also went to visit Charles this afternoon & guess who was there? Sam & Sarah! As always, he is positive & working hard to get stronger. Good visit. He will be there for at least another week to 10 days. If you would like to send him a card his address at the LifeCare Hospital is this: LifeCare Hospital of Dallas Attn: Charles Moss Rm. 202 1950 Record Crossing Rd. Dallas, TX 75235
Place: St Paul Comments: We had a nice visit with Charles Moss today. He was in good spirits and upbeat. He is still somewhat concerned about his health but knows this is just temporary. Charles has a great attitude and we reminenced about the good 'ol days. Keep him in all if our prayers as he goes through his rehab and then leaves to go home.
Place: Richardson Comments: Ok, I found the info & address for Charles. Here is where he is located & will be for awhile. LifeCare Hospitals of Dallas at 1950 Record Crossing Rd, Dallas 75235. Main swbd # 214-640-9600. LifeCare & St Paul are all part of UT Southwestern campus. I think it wd be really good if we all sent Charles Get Well, Thinking of You or Good Wishes cards!! BTW - I posted some Grandone photos. Yes, more than one! Check 'em out.
Place: Richardson Comments: Jack, Charles' cell is still the best way to reach him. The name of the rehab is "Life Care" & it is part of the St. Paul hospital group. I haven't looked it up yet, but I'm going to look up Life Care Rehab Center in Dallas on Google and see what I get.
Place: 66erville Comments: SNL, do you have an address or phone number available so we can contact Charles and see when is a good time to visit and how to find that place. I have no idea where the old St Paul's is. I was born at St Paul's and had my appendix out there, but that has been a day or two and I didn't drive either time!
Place: Richardson Comments: After the medical people left Charles' room he cld bk. He said he greatly appreciates the prayers and to please keep him in your prayers as he still has many hurdles to climb! He said he hasn't gotten much sleep at all due to all the coughing he's been doing and his ribs are really sore. He was happy to see his SOC visitors and ask that anyone who can to please come see him!! Thankful for another day but a long way to go . . .
Place: Richardson Comments: Sorry Gang, I just realized by removing the Image, I removed your ability to post! I have added back the "Click Here".Talked with Charles and they moved him to Rehab yesterday, Jan 1. It's the Rehab bldg. behind the old St. Paul. We were talking and a bunch of people came in so he said he'd call back. The Dr. wanted to keep him close to the hospital so that's why he's in that particular Rehab center. Today is clean up the house and wash day!! Yuck!! We'll see how far we get.
Place: Calm & Peaceful in Richardson Comments: I haven't been on the PC since the Sat night. My bro & his family came over Sun afternoon & Don came back from Dripping Springs with the 4 G-kids. We had a great time visiting. The kids were here until about 11:30 this mrng when Don left to return them to Mom. As you can imagine, it was a boisterous NYE celebration last night!! We turned the TV to the NY Dick Clark's program & didn't tell them it was an hour later than here!! So when the ball dropped we celebrated with poppers (my poor Den floor!), Sparkling white grape juice, etc!! The Den & kitchen were decorated & they had hats & beads. After the ball dropped & we celebrated, we put them to bed about 11:30pm ( they thought it was 12:30) & Don & I crashed about 30 min later. It is wonderful how close out group of SOCites have gotten since our 40th. It's great to have friends who support you when you're down, sick or sad. McMakin, thanks for the update about Charles. I will change out the images soon & I have an adorable Grandone pic to post!! Today, I'm resting and trying to recoup from being on my feet way too much for 3 days and continuously running up & down the stairs. G-kids are wonderful, but they are kinda like a boat. The two best days are the day they arrive and the day they leave!! love 'em, but y'all know what I mean! My poor body is worn to a frazzle.Sam & Sarah, wishing you a full recovery soon as I know you're sick & tired of that CRUD!! Cathy - I'm sorry to hear you're not where you had hoped to be in the recovery stage, but glad you are still working at it and I know you will get there soon! It does seem like it takes longer these days to recover! Nice to hear from Carol, Sally and all the others who posted. I wish all of you a healthier 2014 and continued friendship with all of us from '66! I love you guys!!
Place: New Years football games Comments: Happy New Year to everyone. Slammin" Sam Smith, we thought James Brown had joined the Party. I wish I had moves like that. Cathy, the knee replacement is painful. But it is like 18 holes of golf in a cart with Happy Jack Hawkins. When it's over, it wasn't that bad. Looking forward to the Cable Guy Fugate coming home. He has a lot of money we can take on the golf course. Moss, thinking about you, get well my friend. See you guys in the Spring. Browning is buying the first round. Sandy
Place: Garland USA Comments: Happy New Year to each of you! May 2014 find us all healthier, wealthier and/or more wise!!
Place: Coppell Comments: Happy new year to all my SOC friends. The nicest memory of friends is dancing with Sarah at our 45th reunion and seeing the guys with their glow sticks surrounding us. For that moment in time, the support from them while I was going through my cancer treatments was incredible. Have a safe and prosperous 2014!
Place: KC, MO Comments: HAPPY NEW YEAR to some of my "bestest" friends! Sammy - some of your crud's "bestest" friends made their way to my home. YUCK is the word! Stay safe tonight. Off work until next Tuesday. Love to all - Carol |
