Place: 66erville Comments: Happy Birthday, Mike and Sally!! Wishes for many more and we can all celebrate together!! Funny, neither one of you can sing like Elvis. Of course, you both had his "moves". Glad to hear Charles is doing better. Praying all will go well with Sam's treatment and he will not have to deal with anymore of that stuff. Taking my Grandson to the Holocaust Museum next week for a school project. Anybody been there? If so anything of special note??
Place: Richardson Comments: Saw Charles tda & he is doing pretty good. He is already anticipating when he can go home. He showed me all the Ecards he has recvd from his SOC friends & he was very happy to hear from everyone. He said Thanks to all who have sent cards & contacted him or stopped by to chat. If he continues to improve he may go home within a week.
Place: Richardson Comments: Happy B-day today to Sally Taylor!! If you aren't frozen , or without power, let us hear from you. Hope today is a good one for you and you are staying warm! Also, it's Mike Dunn's B-day today. Happy B-day Mike!! Hope you are hangin' in there and your health has improved. And I can't forget my idol and the love of my life for my first 30 yrs . . . Elvis!! Kinda neat sharing your B-day with Elvis. Happy B-day you guys!!!!
Place: 66erville Comments: Good to hear from you, James. Don't let those things stop you from joining in the partying. In case you didn't notice from the pictures, most of us are showing some signs of our 65 years. We like each other for where we came from, our experiences and who we are now. None of us looks like we did with the possible exception of Bovie, whose nickname is Botox Kid. There are lots of rumors about how he keeps replenishing himself. Vampire? Strange transfusions? And then there is McGee. We know he has two new knees. Maybe he is really completely bionic which would stop the aging process. No, wait, I've seen him play golf. A machine would be able to putt. Anyway, join us if you can. At least join in here on the guestbook and start planing to be here in a couple of years for (dare I say it?) our 50th reunion.
Place: Carthage, MO Comments: Hello to all of SOC Class of 66 just wanted say I am still alive and well. You all looked very good as I looked at your 2013 get together. I would like to come and see all of you. I just need to get a few things like, loose 100 lbs, and then get me a face lift, and last but not leased die my hair black as it was in 1966.
Place: Garland USA Comments: Thanks for the birthday wishes! I survived the day and the cake!! Looking forward to 2014! Sorry to hear that Sammy has to undergo more surgery. We will certainly be thinking about you on Wednesday, Sammy. Also so glad to hear that Charles Moss continues to improve. Thanks for the update! Lastly, Jack how could you possibly believe I ordered this awful weather? Not sure how JD and Kathy are surviving! Not sure JD will have any takers on his offer to trade homes any time soon!! This weather gives an all new meaning to "fair weather friends"...lol
Place: Richartdson Comments: Sammy, I'm so sorry you are having to go thru all this. Keep us posted on your upcoming surgery and I'll pray you have great results!
Place: Coppell Comments: Sarah and I visited Charles Moss this morning. He was in Physical Therapy when we got there. Charles looks and sounds even better than when we saw him last Friday. He is in good spirits and thankful for the ecards he received from all. I am having another Suprapubic catheter placed this Wednesday at 1:00 since my urologist put the wrong size one in this past October. I will be having surgery to have the urethral scar tissue removed the end of this month or the first of February. The urological surgeon will not know exactly how long he will take until he gets inside. The success rate is 80%. I'll take that!
Place: Richardson Comments: The Old Man from the North called me this morning! No, not the Polar Vortex, it was JD! I'm glad it's him living in WI and not me!!! He said if anyone wants to trade houses for a few months he's willing. In fact, he's willing to PAY YOU to trade places. He hopes to make our next Get-Together in the Spring. Other than freezing . . . they are good. When I got up & walked thru the Den this mrng the outdoor temperature was 15 degrees. Man it's cold, but thankful no snow or ice! Everyone take precautions and warmer weather is on its way.
Place: 66erville Comments: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Toni!! With wishes for many more and we are all there to celebrate with you. Was your birthday wish for colder weather??
Place: Richardson Comments: There are 3 different sets of Grandones on our P&J pg. More to see in the New Year!! Take a look.
Place: Brrrrr in Richardson Comments: Hey, today is Toni Jones B-day!! She's finally catching up to the rest of us. Happy Birthday Toni. May you enjoy the day and have a bunch of that gorgeous cake Bruce got you!!! ![]()
Place: Richardson Comments: You bet I can use the pic Sammy! No need to explain, I certainly understand. When you're sick . . . you're not worrying about photos, website or mailing out Christmas cards! Been there, don't want to go back. Geezz that N wind is cold! Forecasted to be 18 tonight!! 60's one day & not above freezing the next. Welcome to Dallas!!!!
Place: Coppell Comments: Sandy, I just sent a picture of Our five blessings. It is late, but Sarah is just getting back to some sense of normalcy. Hope you can use it. Ronney, Lila is adorable. What a sweet face.
Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you Sammy, I forgot to post the Ecard site! As Sammy said, if you can't get to the hospital . . . why not send him an Ecard via the system set up by the hospital. Here's the web address & you can just click on it and go right to the site. http://www.lifecare-hospitals.com/ecard.php They print these out each day and take them to the patients. Nice way to send your sentiments. |
