Place: Marble falls Comments: Good to hear that everyone is starting to improve health wise. We will say a short prayer for you on the 29th SNL. Although I am sure the triples will help with their sister! Today is our 28th anniversary and Bobby said it definitely seems like it. I do not know what he means by that! We are on our usual New Years trip to Kerrville and looking forward to relaxing for a few days. Bobby's mom is not doing very good so we are are hopeful we make it through the New Years . Had a great visit with Toni and Bruce on Christmas and actually exchanged gifts before February this year! Lol Ya'll stay well...more later
Place: bigD Comments: Thanks Sandy Mc, my twins are 12 and 8 years. While I am getting younger they are getting older. They love playing together. Christmas they had a great time playing with their other cousins. It's good to hear your daughter is home and recovering.
Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you everyone for all the good wishes both BD & Get well. I'm so happy to say that the 23rd was a turning point! I'm feeling better and for more than one day. We had a great time the last two days with family & longtime friends! It feels so good to be up and about!! I hate that Sam & Sarah are so sick. But Sam hit the nail on the head when he said they had to get well so they could see the Grandones right after Christmas!! We are going to get the Triplets plus the 4 yr-old on Sunday 29th & have them until New Year's Day. Don will return them Wed. 1st time to have all four! We look forward to seeing them for a few days bec they are all growing up so fast!! I hope Sam & Sarah are well enough to see their G-kids too. Spoke with Charles this mrng. They continue to have problems with his medication and he did not sound well at all. He has been in the hospital since Dec 2 and he is hoping he will be able to go to a rehab center soon. But, he has to be stable before they can move him & his heart is not cooperating. He is far from out of the woods so please keep him in your prayers. My New Year's wish will be for all my friends to have better health in 2014.
Place: Garland USA Comments: Jack, thanks for the update on Charles. So glad to know he continues to improve. Get well wishes to SNL, Sam and all others. Good health has clearly taken a front seat to any other thing as I quickly approach the ripe old age of 65! Bruce and I have been fortunate this season to have good health...last year totally different story! Happy belated birthday to the class twins - SNL and Jerry Tillery!! We had a very blessed Christmas with our family on Christmas Eve and had a great visit with Karen and Bob this evening. Merry Christmas (or what appears to be left of it!) to one and all!
Place: Cypress Springs/Garland Comments: I am at home right now but will be leaving for Garland shortly. Wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and just in case a Happy and safe New Year. Friday is our 28th Anniversary and we will be leaving for Kerrville that morning. I know you are all wondering how I put up with him for that many years - and anyone that is wondering anything else had better keep it to themselves. Remember - I am a Golden Bear - You are supposed to be on my side!  Hope you are feeling better SNL and have a good day.

Place: Coppell Comments: Happy birthday Sandy. Relax today so you can enjoy Christmas with your family the next two days. Sarah and I both went to the local Market Street Clinidc. Both have Bronchitis and hanging out yesterday and today with antibiotics cough syrup and cortizone pills. Yuck. Got to get better by tomorrow so we can go to candlelight services and spend Christmas Day with the grandkids. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Place: Richmond Comments: It's been awhile since I last posted, but I do check in from time to time to see how everyone is doing. Prayers and best wishes to those in need at this time. Congrats and Happy Birthday to the many that I have missed since my last post. A very Happy Birthday(or as I prefer-the anniversary of my thirtieth birthday) to my twin who keeps this website going and to our triplet who often posts here. A very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to all my SOC friends.
Place: Richardson Comments: You never know who might drop in during Christmas time. Nice to hear from Mike Dunn & a Merry Christmas to you & our other SOCites in California! Hey Richard . . . How you doing?? This is the first year in my life that I don't have a tree or any other decorations for that matter. Nothing inside or out! By the time we felt that we could do a few things . . . it's so close to Christmas we decided to do what's really important. We bought the G-kids some presents!! Last night we made arrangements to get them on the 29th for 3 days! This year Christmas is truly about the spirit of Christmas and the love of family because there is nothing else here.  Hope everyone is doing good & planning for time with friends and family. Merry Christmas to all my SOC friends! I wish you health and joy for the New Year!

Place: Richardson Comments: Jack & Gary - Thank you so much for the update on Charles. He is one of the most positive & upbeat people I know. He always thinks of other people before himself. Prayers for his continued recovery & for all the others who are not well & trying to recover.
Place: 66erville Comments: Had a nice visit with Charles yesterday. He was up brushing his teeth under the watch full eye of his physical therapist when I got there. He looked and sounded good. He is up and moving around pretty well, just, as he says, a little short of breath. He is bruised, including one on his upper arm from the blood pressure cup that stays on his arm. Docs came in gave him some strength tests and talked about rehab facilities and are getting him a list of what is available, where. PA from the heart team came in and checked on him. He was retaining fluids and was ready for everything to start functioning as usual. As everyone knows who has been there, that is the next step in recovering. He told me they had glued his incision together! No staples. He asked about everybody. (including Courtney, SMc). He seemed to be in good spirits and ready to get rehabbing and put all this behind him. You just can't keep a good man down!!
Place: DS Comments: Larry, it's Steve Avila, that was known as Speedy. Johnny Delagarza was a year younger, really fast on the field. He may have had a nick name, but I don't remember. They both went to Holmes. Thanks for the update on Charles. |
