Ditto what Rod said.  Robert, not every post by every person gets a response.  Why heck, we try our best to ignore Jack, but he's like a bad penny, he just keeps coming back!!  [rolleyes]  Most of us just read and move on.  My best to you and Jolae.

Robert, you are always welcome to post or just read. I post very seldom but read it every day. Sometimes a couple of days can go by without any one posting, so don't let it bother you that no one answers you. Every one has something to add and while some of your posts don't get a response we do enjoy finding out what is going on in your life.
Please don't stop posting, keep us up to date on how you are doing.
Rod

I see you have to been here for awhile to get a reply.  I will try not to let my selfish post bother any of you any more.  I know, I am wrong, I am most of the time. Like I said I will try to let this be my last post.

Pretty soon everything in my house will have been repaired or replaced.  Latest additions:  new roof as a result of that last wind storm a few weeks back, and a new wood fence is going up for several reasons but SNL you pretty much "hit the nail on the head"!!!

Some of you know that there is a baptist church behind our house.  What you probably don't know if that they (along with us) are battling our new neighbors' music selection especially during Sunday morning and Wednesday night church services.  We're expecting Garland's finest men in uniform to be directing services very soon!

The measurements went just fine....and while I may be the only person able to sit on the bench at least my knees will not hurt! When the other measurements start comparing with the kardashians we will have another discussion!
I guess the BR is going well...I am actually smart enough to not go upstairs unless he screams in pain, calls me, or it is time for sleep. If I hear a lot of four letter words I usually ask if he needs help, which will bring laughter! I will send pictures later.
Keep this great weather coming

Toni - Whatcha got going on at your house??  Last week I was by there & saw a blue tarp on a piece of your roof . . .  never a good sign!  Then today I was by there and I saw a big truck, several guys walking around and I also saw metal posts.  Y'all putting up a big fence to try and block out the awful neighbors that have moved next door?

Sorry I don't know every ones problems here but I do know that we are all getting older. How many of you knew a bear a few years behind us named Reagan Turman?
Well he passed away a year or so back of cancer. He was my very best buddy. He knew he was dying and came up for a week visit.
My family doctor I have been with for 17 years now has passed me onto a new pain doctor. One small problem is tthat he is in another town . Say like as far as Irving to Seagoville.  TaDa.  I don't have to drive it, Praise God. More later in the life of this flatlander in the hills if  you care to hear ?

You got a good point Jack.  Like I said, he's thinking that $600 pan looks pretty good about now!

I'm so glad Sammy is feeling better and able to get around.  Doesn't seem to have curtailed his humor any!!!

Sounds like Don deserves/should get a full body massage tonight. 3 and 1/2 bags is a lot of mixing and pouring and grooving and smoothing. Been easier just to put a shower in the back yard!

He'd probably recommend an already built shower pan Barb!!   I think this build-it-from-scratch pan has about pushed him to the edge.  He's in there right now smoothing out the 3 and a half bags of cement he dumped into the bottom of the shower.  His back is going to be so sore tonight from all that bending over & carrying the buckets of cement.  I know he will be so glad when this part is done today.

You guys are so funny!  Jack, the bench has turned out not to be much of a problem, even though he did have to rebuild it bec the wood was rotted.  It's the darn big shower pan in the bottom that has turned out to be the biggest pain!!!  A nice one to fit our shower was going to cost $500-$600.  Don said that's too much money and beside, wouldn't it be beautiful to use 2"x2" tiles on the floor instead of a pre-made shower pan.   WELL . . .  who knew it would be so difficult and involve so many tedious items that have to be exact to build one??!!  Had to use some Pre-Pitch plastic guides bought from Floor & Décor to lay down so he could be sure of getting the exactly slope for it to drain properly. Once those were laid he poured about 1 & half inches of cement.  Once dried he had to put down 40 Mil plastic.  Then a 2nd set of Pre-Pitch plastic guides & build the threshold for the shower door.  He will be mixing more cement in a little bit and has to pour about 2 inches or so over all the big pan area and into the form for the threshold.

Last night  after working so hard to get it all exact, he laughed and said, "You know, that $600 shower pan isn't looking so bad about now!!".     No turning back now.  After this 2nd layer of cement is poured & sets up, we can finally start laying tile on the bottom & working our way up.

Moral to this story . . .  If any of you are going to rip apart your shower & completely redo it, just buy the darn shower pan!!  Or, at least, talk with Don to learn the many pitfalls and how precise it all has to be to get the darn tile to come out at the correct level.

Shortcake - How's Bobby coming with your bath redo??   Anymore measurements taken?  Like I said, just be glad he's asking to measure your height & not your width!

Always good to hear from you, Robert. Work hard with your PT and stay on your feet. That falling down stuff is bad for you. Things seem to break. Be sure to share your fishing tips!
Sam, I am amazed that your head is still attached. Poor Sarah. I guess she thinks you are still trainable. Glad you are feeling better and spunky. You shouldn't have to sleep on the couch, I have an air bed and pump you can have. Of course, getting up off the floor ain't as easy as it used to be.
Shortcake, when can I get the dimensional specifications on that shower seat?? You know, height, depth and width. We can compare them with Don & Sandy's and anybody else who has a shower seat. Did you think about resale value? How will a short seat affect that?

Hey all, I'm doing much better than this time last week. Sarah and I worked out in the yard today. Had to take advantage of the great weather.Doctor's office said I can drive again.
Ladies, ladies, ladies, no more butt stories. I got in trouble because of you guys. Thought I was being complimentary to Sarah when I told her I was glad her butt was not quite as big as some other's, I DO NOT believe it's right I have to sleep on a lumpy couch after surgery,
Robert, hang in there buddy and stop making excuses for not having sex. Where there's a will; there's a way. I'm always willing and Sarah says "no way".
Life is good.

Sandy, thanks for the address to get back to the book, here. I bought a new all in one Gateway computer with Windows 8.1.  As for our health here,  we doing ok, thanks to the Lord and all the meds.  I go once a month to a pain doctor to keep the diabetic pain under control.  Today I go to P.T. , to get more strength in my walking , been falling down to much.  Dang, as we get older all we talk about is our health and all the good sex we use to get in the past!! I am waiting for summer to come back so I can do some fishing , I have learn to catch and love to eat the trout here. If I could walk better I might go hunting but I am afraid that is just a day dream now. Well I will try to stop by more often. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Amen.  Robert and Jolae Norman
