You guys are so funny!  I can just see all us cranking up our car radios to drown out the neighbor's music.  Just about the time I decide to actually phone the police, the little guy next door comes over and offers to help Bruce with his latest project - the wooden fence! He really worked hard helping Bruce and would not accept any pay.  Now he wants Bruce to help him put up a board-on-board fence!  At least if Bruce does help, we can keep the music curtailed for a while! Really cute grand one pics!!

Great looking grandones Jack. I believe Katie favors Glynda a lot.

Robert, it sounds as though you are being well taken care of now. That's very good to hear.

Haven't started any indoor projects yet but Mike is already adding to the backyard with the addition of a new, large, double trunk windmill palm tree. It looks pretty awesome.

Glad that that misunderstanding got straighten out, Robert. Now if who ever explained it to Robert would email me and do the same, I would appreciate it.
Funny, Sam, I have almost the same story. Back in the 70's I lived in an apt around Beltline and Dallas parkway. Some people moved in the apt above mine. They must not have had a tv, because when they got home they put on the stereo and cranked it up to 10. After several daily trips upstairs and pounding on my ceiling I had enough. I had a state of the art stereo I bought overseas and had shipped home. I loaded the turntable with pipe organ music and Gregorian chants, cranked the volume up to 15, went in the bedroom, closed the door and went in the closet, closed the door and put on my headphones and read for several hours. After that I never heard their music again. He did, however, walk across the floor like he was stomping on snakes.

Well two nice folks took time to email me I now understand this guestbook. Well , let me finish up some of the info of our life.  We were blessed in getting connected with a group called "Volunteers for America". They have a weekly nurse come in the house and check us and our med;s , also maid service twice a week (so I don't have to do dishes anymore, Praise God".  Also the greatest help of all is a case worker. Cutest thing I have every seen since Linda Roberts. She books all our doctor appointments and orders a taxi to pick us up, now get this, a cab paid for by Medicade, yehaa.  I am so screwed up with different afflections that I get to ride around town about three times a week, like a was a big shot. She also goes with me on many doctor appt. to take notes , so I don't let anything slip past.  Since I have no one to talk to up here except the wife I now that I and she also has a pcyh. to talk to about once a week, a real nice lady. I have the last two visit I have been trying to shock her with my past, no success as of yet, makes one think she is not listening, but she is.
I am waiting for spring,  I learn how to catch trout without fly fishing.  And if you cook them right , pretty good eating.

More on the exciting life of the flatlander Normans.  oh yea, If you come North we have a extra bedroom and a great little college town to visit. So come on and visit. oh yea did I tell you we are dog people ? Only two right now.  I do care about you guys and pray for you.  The Bible and Yahshua have become a big part of our lives.

Toni, when my younger brother was in his late 20's he lived in an apartment with his two sons. The two guys in the adjoining apartment worked the second shift and played loud music from midnight to 6:00. Ross asked them to please turn the music down as he had two toddlers that could not sleep. They ignored him. He then decided to place his boom box next to his living room wall that happened to abut next to their bedroom wall. He cranked it up to the highest volume and left for the day. Problem solved. Just sayin'

Another good example of the site. Everybody is welcome to post anything that they want to share here. It is all interesting to someone who visits. I'm thinking we should gather up all of our gospel tapes and go over to Toni's backyard and have a sing-a-long for her neighbors benefit.

Jack, I agree.  I don't have any desire to drive around in a travel trailer, motor home or whatever you call it.  I hate being closed up and I like going to lots of out-of-the-way places when I get to a new destination.  I sure don't want to drag a motor home around with me.  But some people really enjoy them as they have different agendas.  They go somewhere, meet up with friends and kinda camp out.  I think that's what KRL does.  They drive to a destination & meet up wit lots off friends.  My kind a vac is going somewhere new or fun & not having to cook.  I cook every night at home.  Happy Margarita Day!!!

Shortcake, with your diminished capacity caused by age, I doubt that you remember that except for Toni and Sally, who somehow got around the age rules, I may well be the youngest in the class. I am enjoying what I do, so why retire? If and when I do retire I may choose to travel. But I have never understood the thinking behind taking your house with you when you go. Why take your troubles with you? Houses always have something that needs fixing or if there is a women involved, remodeled!

Are you saying you are not interested in our outstanding information on bathroom refurbishing and traveling Jack. You know Robert and Sam and all the others might be. They may find it very interesting! You may decide to actually retire someday, buy an RV and travel, that is if you are still able to drive at that age. You are getting pretty old you know!

Jim, I went to Oak Cliff Advocate web page and looked around but did not find the article about Lisbon. Can you direct me there??
Robert you are always welcome here as is any other SOCite. I don't know how to define this place, except to say it is not a chat room or a blog (except for SNL bathroom redos and Shortcakes travels) Lots of people visit, some choose to post others don't. Not necessarly much responding except for the ribbing back and forth. I found your post interesting but didn't see anything that needed responding to. It is always good to hear from everybody, even Rod, and get caught up with what is happening in their lives, but sometimes you don't know what to say. No one ignored you or meant to hurt your feelings, it is just the way this place slides along.

I visit the site about twice a day and post very little. BUT, there is a good article in the March issue of the Oak Cliff Advocate about the Lisbon Area of Big D that I thought all might enjoy. Jack who??

Robert, being a flatlander, does this mean you still reside in Colorado?
