Place: Richardson Comments: I s/w the Exec Chef at Holiday Inn about noon yesterday. She has to ck with Upper Mnmt to see if she can open bar at 2:00 and about the dinner. Back in Nov 2013, right after our Mini, the H.I. was sold to a Financial Grp. Of course, everything began to change & that's why Steven left. Hopefully I'll hear from her tda & it will be good news. If not, then we'll just go back to Double Tree or anywhere else y'all want to go. A big Thank You to Jim Young! I recvd your donation in the mailbox last night!! And, I appreciate your kind words.  I will be depositing your ck & Sammy's in a few minutes. 
Place: Coppell Comments: I spoke with Charles and since it's close to our mini, he said we all can celebrate his and my "homecoming" then. It's easier on him as well. Sandy, anywhere we meet for our spring mini is good.
Place: 66erville Comments: Ok folks, we need to know who is interested in getting together with Charles and Sam. I talked to Charles and if it is just going to be the three of us, a lunch meeting would work. If more are coming they will work it for a time better for all. So speak up!! Everybody's doing well, Robert. Thanks for asking.
Place: R place Comments: Guys here's a tip. Charles' PT is M,T & T, not Fri. An evening dinner wd not be good for him thru the week as he lives out in the country in Midlothian. He wd have to fight all that traffic while driving into N. Dls, then home in all the traffic and at night. A lunch wd be much better and for now & it wd have to be on days other than Mon, Tue or Thurs. I t/w Charles yesterday, that's how I know.
Place: fort collins to stay Comments: Well dang Jack. How is the family doing ? An update of those I know. Oh I will get it figured out, or if not the framing hammer will do the job, LOL. Oh thanks for keeping notes for me, plum forgot I have asked before, maybe I am getting "Old Timers". I will 67 on the 20th of March. No flowers please.
Place: 66erville Comments: Sounds like a good plan to me, Sam. Maybe someone else will chime in. Robert, you back in space city? You asked that last week and foud that none of us are using Windows 8. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Place: Coppell Comments: I called Charles Moss today. He has physical therapy Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He is for the get together next week. His PT is usually over at 2:00. He drives in from Midlothian. Told him I would check with anyone here about Snuffers at Belt Line and Midway road in Addison and get back with him. He does not need to drive all the way back to Midlothian and then come back that evening. I am thinking about next Thursday evening March 20th since he does not have PT that day. To say the least, he cannot stay out until 10:00 or so. Your guys thoughts ?

The Executive Chef, Steven, who took care of us the last 3 times, has left and is across town at the Marriott near the Market Center! He returned my call to his personal cell & gave me the bad news. I have new persons name but will be late tmo afternoon before I can t/w her to see if she's interested & if bar is available. If not . . . I'll have to look for another place. I'm sad bec I really liked that place & the buffet dinner arrangement. So, guess it's time for plan B. ![[wink]](/images/boards/smilies/wink.gif "Wink - ;)")

Place: 66erville Comments: Sorry to hear about your bugs, SNL. While this is Charles and Sam's party, I'm sure it is open to all. Or at least everybody who likes Sam or Charkes and I believe that includes EVERYONE. Invitations, sphenvitations! Hope Don gets paid plumbers wages for his pool/HOA work. Oh, yea, how come none of you smarties reminded me to set the clock on my VCR? Who knows what I recorded now??
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm proud of you guys for organizing a get-together. More power to you! I've got my hands full here at home. But I am working on our Spring Get-Together for late April. I posted a note on the Events pg. I wd love to join y'all at Snuffer's, but I'm just not able at this time. Of course, y'all really didn't ask me . . .  Besides our bath redo, this is a very busy time for me and Don with the HOA. We're trying to arrange for some deck work to be done at our HOA pool (Don is doing the restroom repair work himself) and I'm in the process of negotiating contracts for 4 different vendors in connection with the HOA pool services. They all have to be done by 4-1. Geeeez! It's like being back at work again!!! Then Don discovered something really scary yesterday. As he went out our bdrm door to the patio to cut more cement board, his hand rested against the door frame trim and his thumb went right thru it! After checking it out . . . we have TERMITES! they have eaten the inside of the door frame trim! Keep in mind, less than 2 yrs ago Don painted both the doors & the trim on all 4 doors going outside. It was in good shape then. Those varmints chewed up the entire trim piece from top to bottom & the outside was as thin as paper! |
