Place: Richardson Comments: Smiley - I was not suggesting you were an invalid, I was simply avoiding asking you if you may have gained weight. As I remember, old Ironsides had quiet a girth. But obvious your mind went directly to Yuvonne and your concern for her being able to have a matching bikini. You always were so thoughtful, glad to see you haven't changed a bit!! If JD bought that swimsuit when he had all those add'l pounds, heck, you may get several suits out of it!
Place: Confused Comments: Sandy, I hope you are not indicating that I resemble a poor paraplegic in a wheel chair. I assure you I have full control of my arms and legs and was only trying to help JD get rid of his unwanted clothing. I didn't know that made me an invalid. My plan was for Yuvonne to take up the swim suit so it fit me and have enough material left over to make her a matching Bikini.
Place: Richardson Comments: Wow JD! I honestly can't believe you had 73 lbs to lose! They must be calling you the Thin Man by now. Congratulations, quiet an accomplishment. Smiley - if you're wanting JD's swimsuit . . . does that mean you're lookin' more like Ironsides??
Place: Calif. Comments: JD, I don't think that weight is lost. Just look behind you...it's there. Actually, nice work and a healthy loss I trust.
Place: Brownwood Comments: JD, I could use a new swim suit. Mine are kinda worn out and ugly. 1743 CR 141 Brownwood, Texas 76801 Thanks, DWS Howd you lose the weight?
Place: WI Comments: I have been watching your weather and hope all are alright and not personally soaked. We too have been hit by wind and rain and combine that with our brutal winter I am about to advise Kathy it's SOUTHWEST or bust... and, I'll visit on BD's of all, Christmas, Easter and our week in DOOR County However, I would like to donate a pair of unused Swim trunks I bought some 4 years ago. My hope is that someone can use them. My problem is that I have lost 73 lbs. since then and they don't fit me any more. Well it's not just this RED swim suit that doesn't fit...nothing really does. So we have given to Goodwill almost everything as I never will be that big again. Oh, BTW, I'll pay shipping !!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Last Thurs afternoon we got lots of rain. In fact, our rain gage showed 3 1/4 inches! Luckily we didn't get any hail or the high winds that ripped thru some of the areas. We're in Richardson, but since we live only about a 1/4 mi from the Garland border we heard the Tornado sirens for more than an hour! Kinda unnerving!! This mrng we got a good shower with promise of more to come. Sammy - Glad you made the best of the rain in Galveston. I always say eating is a good way to pass the time when you can't sight see! Didn't know y'all ware going to sell and move to Tawakoni. Don't move too far off or we won't see you very often! Made a new recipe this mrng for Choc Silk Pie. The house smells so good! Hope it sets up like it's supposed to. Think I'll splurge and make real whipped cream for the topping.
Place: Back in Coppell Comments: We just returned from Corpus Christi where we met with Marvin and Shirley Mullins, class of '67. Although it rained the entire trip, May 7-10, we still enjoyed the trip. We visited the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium. Ate at Fajitaville, Blackbeard's, Pier99 and Yo restaurants. Yo has the best Philly cheese steaks. Best margaritas at Fajitaville. We saw Mclane Stadium in Waco. Saw where our $78,000.00 "investment" from 1992- 1996 was put to good use. Glad to be home again. We needed the break from getting our house market ready to sell. Looking for a home at Lake Tawakoni.
Place: Sachse Comments: Oh Rod, you had to go and set Smiley up for that "groaner". While I haven't heard of Mosheim, both sides of my family are from Waco, Moody, Temple area. Many of my relatives (grandparents, great grandparents, etc.) are buried in the Moody Cemetery between Temple and Moody. Sam, we went to many a family reunion at Mother Neff Park. Great memories.
Place: Snakes To Go Comments: Rod, That wasn't one of ours. All of our rattlers are slithering around in their pits , hissing. And I knew them when they didn't have a pit to hiss in. DWS
Place: Wet Oregon Comments: Hey Smiley, knowing that you raise some pretty big rattlers on your place, did you sneak over to San Antonio and hide that 3-4' rattler in the Trailblazer's locker room ? I read that and you were the first person that came to mind.
Place: Grosvenor, Texas Comments: Sandra, We were in London last week and it only rained twice.....first for 4 days then for 3. True story: We really do live in Grosvenor, Texas and our travel agency booked us in the Grosvenor Hotel in London. ( They pronounce it "Grovenor" across the pond)
Place: DS Comments: It's raining, raining ,and raining here too, SNL. It has only stop three times since the wee hours of the morning, 15 mins, 10 then 5. I'm going to have to suck it up and go out and get the lanterns around the pool before they start floating. Pool level with the deck. Love the rain and thankful for it. Would be nice if it was s p r e a d out. Also thankful for no strong winds. Everybody stay safe and stay in. Finger painting and baking cookies with Eli
Place: Dark & Rainy in Richardson Comments: It's Raining, It's Raining!!! Heavenly rain is falling this morning & looks like it might do so most of the day. Much needed for all of us in Collin County as we can only water twice a month! If we don't get more water in Lake Lavon, we're going to lose lawns and probably lots of trees and shrubs. Going to start looking like Phoenix! All of Richardson, Plano, Allen, McKinney, Murphy, Wylie and other cities are under the North Texas Municipal Water District. Dallas is not! We're at a heightened Stage 3 and twice a month isn't going to cut it with the Texas heat! Please give us more rain!!!
Place: Coppell Comments: The park in Waco is Cameron Park. We held our reunions in July of every other year. Kids would jump in the fountains after the train ride. Just couldn't beat Grandma Henager's fried chicken. She raised, plucked and fried her own chickens. Also made the best homemade biscuits dripping with butter and honey. We bit into those and honey and butter dribbled down our chins. Tongue licking good! |
