Place: Richardson Comments: Toni - You are so welcome. Hated you couldn't make it, but hope you feel better soon. Actually Toni, I enjoy going back to the photos and looking because sometimes you get caught up in visiting and you miss some of the funny moments! Haven't laughed so hard in a while!!! Here's a direct Link to the photos from our Spring Mini! http://www.soc1966.com/gettogethers2014.html Sammy - I knew you would know that spot in the road! I remember from yrs past that your Mom was also from the Crawford area & y'all had your reunions in some of those little bitty towns. Heck, I thought they were saying "machine" until I saw the sign calling it Mosheim!
Place: Coppell Comments: Shortcake, I will vouch for you. We spent 20 minutes talking with each other at the mini. Sandy, your family reunion sure brings back great memories. All of my family on my mother's side were from the Waco, Crawford, Belton, McGregor and Moody area. We would hold our Henager family reunions at Mother Neff Park in Moody or Clarendon Park in Waco. I remember an elderly gentleman operated a small train ride at Clarendon Park. He never charged for it and just enjoyed doing it for us kids.
Place: Garland USA Comments: Sandy, those are great pictures of the latest mini/roast! It looks as though a fine time was had by all. I love the facial expressions on everyone as Donnie opened his gifts. Priceless. Thanks for allowing those who could not attend a sneak-peak of a great afternoon!
Place: Richardson Comments: Shortcake, we counted you! You were one of the 6 girls. We just got in from the Gauer family reunion. Even though all my cousins live in either Crawford or Waco area, we've been having the reunion in a Community Center in Moshein, TX. The Crawford center is actually too big & cost too much so we moved it 4-5 yrs ago. It's a "spot" in the road a little west of Valley Mills. I bet James & Kay Kidd know where it is! Now I'm tired, been gone since 7:30am. Watching the Rangers beat the Angels!!!!
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Just because you donot see my picture does not mean I was not there. We were there for awhile. Guess I will have to start taking selfie so everyone will know I attended!
Place: DS Comments: That's so funny Karen. I noticed the same thing, I actually counted us. ![]() Jack must have left the state already. I guess he was serious about wanting a welcome home party. Wonder how long he'll be gone? Fun time, time flew by. Thanks Sandy and Sandy
Place: Sachse Comments: Fun time at the mini and great job as always by Sandy in arranging it and putting all the photos together for all to enjoy. I did notice after looking at the group picture that there were only 6 ladies from our class compared to 16 men (our spouses not included in that count) from our class in attendance. We need to encourage more ladies to attend so they will not miss out on all the fun.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Just finished viewing the pictures from the mini. Lots of lovely ladies and some fine-looking dudes! Love to all - Carol
Place: Richardson Comments: It was really a good time JS. Wish you & Dru could have been there! The photo album is now set up so you can click on the first pic to open it & then all the descriptions can be seen & you can just click the arrow to go thru all of them without open & closing. Enjoy!
Place: The Woodlands Comments: A good lookin' group, indeed. Pretty cool hat for Fugate. He'll look like Leon Redbone.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm happy to say all the photos from our mini on 4-26-14 have been loaded and labeled! As anyone who attended knows, the Mini was also a celebration for Donnie Fugate. We were celebrating that after more than 10 yrs of living out-of-state away from home, Donnie Fugate was back home for good and retired! Sandy McGee organized a Roast and gag gifts and cards for Donnie. It was a fun afternoon and filled with lots of laughs, as you will see in the photos! Good job Pool Guy and I loved the hat you gave Donnie. Very cool. He better watch out, Barb may swipe it!Go to our Home pg and click on "GET-TOGETHERS 2014" to see the photos and album.
Place: SOC '64 Comments: You are cordially invited to the 50th Reunion of the Class of 1964: http://soc64.com/ReunionInfo.htm
Place: Richardson Comments: Yippee, I got some great pics Saturday and so did Shortcake & Mac!! Thanks for the photos you two! I've got them in files and with a little luck, hope to start putting them into the new 2014 album. I had to add another pg to the site, can't believe the site has been up for 10yrs. Actually, we had our 10 yr anniversary on March 14th!! Happy anniversary to us the SOC '66 site & GB!! Anyway, good pics & happy faces. A good time was had by all. McGee - you did a good job on the Roast and we all got to enjoy the funny gifts and cards.
Place: Cypress springs Comments: We had a really great time Saturday....it was just a weekend with way to much going on and seemed to get worse on Sunday. Thought we had successfully made it past the storms but it moved in about 7. We went to bed about 10. Midnight we get a code red call...high winds, hail, lightening and tornado warning....went on until about 3 .
Just got to sleep and 4:30 the alarm company called....my sisters alarm had something wrong and kept sending signals so they called me. Just a great night!
Maybe it will be better tonight.
Place: Breakfast room Comments: Ditto, Sandy, except for the pictures I was sending you an email while you were posting.I really like the Hyatt and the layout. Thanks for all you planning Great time.
