Larry, I'm so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. It was good you and your brother were there. My heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

Hope everyone had a safe turkey day and all of us here in DFW area are looking forward to the rain stopping. But, that's better than the 6ft of snow my friends in Buffalo got!

Hi all.  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
On a sad note, my Mom who was 99, past away in her sleep early Wednesday morning.
My brother was taking care of her at her home in Dallas, he graduated from SOC in 1964 (Bill Thomas).
I was at her house when she passed away.

I saw in today's Dallas Morning News obits (11-19) that Janis Jolcuvar passed away a few weeks ago. She was married to Dennis Bishop for 24 years. Her services are Monday. Very beautiful obit about an amazing person.  My heartfelt condolences to Dennis and his family.

Don,

Thank you for putting this video honoring all our veterans.  Randall and I will watch this later this morning together.

It's a little early, but Thanksgiving will be here next week.  We are wishing all of our classmates and their families a great and safe Thanksgiving!

Don, I just watched the video.  No doubt that has taken a lot of time and effort, but I know it's an effort of love and respect.  The result is impressive and you deserve kudos.  I saw a lot of guys' pictures that I recognized but didn't really 'know' during the school years, some I did know.  Thank you for putting it all together.

Don, I watched the video.  Man, the memories flooded back into my head when I saw all my classmates! Very emotional.  You have done such a great job over the years keeping the Vet database update and it is very well done.  Thank you for creating it and keeping it current!  Great job!!

Repeating the text of an e-mail sent to all SOC '66 vets earlier:

Greetings all – Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting this out to you.  I hope everyone is doing well and enjoyed a peaceful, reflective Veterans Day.

This year’s video slide-show contains a few updates:
  • 3 veterans recently passed away and have small crosses added alongside their names – Charles ‘Rick’ Mitchell, Jimmy Martin & David Hamm.
  • Jack Sanders finally provided a military photo, and following Jimmy Martin’s memorial service, Bovie managed to obtain a military photo of him from his wife.
  • New additions to the vets roster and slide-show, thanks to tips from Roe Burrow - Tom Jarvis (military photo not available now, but coming soon) & William Junell (died in a single car crash in ’70 & buried at Laurel Land – photos of him found on FB & headstone on ‘Find-a-Grave’) – both Army Vietnam vets.

Here’s the link – I intend to let it run all weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOmN07eGRYQ

Best regards to all!  - Don
