Place: Kerrville tx Comments: Happy Easter. Not a great one for me - I am in the hospital here. Mixture of pneumonia on both lungs and Covid. Dr said Covid attached to weakest point and grows there. I got here pretty quick so should be ok.
Place: Dallas Comments: Some plants will freeze and look dead but grow from the roots like the English Ivy in front of my house.
Place: Rainy Richardson Comments: Rick, funny story. Don & I got married in Feb 1985. Had bought the house in Addison and only front was landscape. 1st yr no flowers. By 2nd yr we had made flower/shrub beds in the back. Mom said, "Don't plant those little bedding plants until after Easter." OK. 3rd yr. Easter was later, like this year, and I planted them the week before Easter. You know where this is going . . . it didn't freeze but it got down to 39 one night. Mom & dad came up that weekend and all she said when she saw the wilted Caladiums was, "You should have waited until after Easter". ![[smile]](https://cdn.websitetoolbox.com/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif "Smile - :)")

Place: Richardson Comments: Rick, my Mom always told me not to plant my bedding plants until Easter because there was always a chance of a freeze until then.
I do believe chance of a freeze is gone now but will wait until Sunday evening or Monday to plant. Periwinkles, Dianthus . . . Can hardly wait. π₯° πΌπ» See you on the 22nd!
Place: Dallas Comments: Hay Everyone, I'm sorry I missed the last Mini. I have April 22 marked on the calendar. I plan to be there. Everything looks green around the house, I'm talking about the weeds. We're planting flowers and hoping they don't get caught in a late freeze or blow away in a storm.
Place: Richardson Comments: I've heard from numerous friends who said they planned to be at the Mini. Should be a great turnout. The only ones I know, so far, spending the night at the Hilton are Carol Carpenter, Russel Powers and Vernon Moreland. Really looking forward to this Get-Together!! Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you Larry for reminding everyone how precious these Minis have become. We're losing our friends more frequently and I don't want to miss the chance to see an old friend because I "put-off" going to a SOC event. Glad you are coming Larry!! Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 22 from 2:00 to 6:00pm at the Hilton hotel on the NE corner of Campbell Rd & Hwy 75. We'll be in the new big bar area. Hope to see lots of old SOC friends!
Place: Kessler Park, Dallas Comments: Hey SNL, looking forward to th spring meet. On a sad note, saw that Diane Williams, class of β67 passed away. She was formerly married our own Jim Stoher. Makes me realize we cannot miss these mini reunions because we might not get another chance to see someone, unless weβre wearing wings. GO BEARSZ!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Since I was able to confirm our Mini date of April 22 last Saturday, I've been contacting some of the folks who don't have any social media presence at all or they don't really look at it. I've spoken on the pho with Gordy, Donald Millican, Louis Langford, Jack Sanders (and his dtr Trina), Rick Watts and emailed Rusty Powers. The 5 above I spoke with have all said they plan to be there!! Haven't heard back from Rusty yet. Anyway, spread the word to a friend who you think might not know about April 22 and let's make sure those who don't go onto social media very often know about it!!
