The hail on the roof woke me at 5:00 AM this morning. Not heavy, just a clunk here and a clunk there. Afterwards two rain showers moved through. Sun shining now. We went to the Fair Saturday. What a great day to be outside. Ate corny dogs, and Jack's french fries. Glynda had fried pecan pie (OK I had a bite or 2). Haas' nacho grande and sweet corn on the cob finished the eating. Big reduction in the car show. Ford, GM and Chrysler in the auto building. Nissan, Toyota, Hyundai and KIA in the other building. Somehow we managed NOT to buy anything this year!! Saw the sites and watched the people. Had a great time! Sore this morning from more walking than we are used too. But a good sore. Big Tex looked and sounded good.

Ronney sorry, but no one can copy/paste/steal your Em address from this site.  It is specifically set up this way so if you leave your Em, as you did, it will simply show the highlighted word Email.  Anyone can click on Email and have the opportunity to send you an Em without knowing your address. It is then up to YOU to decide if you want to respond (which will then show your Em) and give your contact info to the sender.  This keeps us from getting spam or giving out our Em to strangers.

So Booby - click on Ronney's Red Email and send him a note.  He can then respond, which will allow you to see his Em.  Hope this helps, because it's too dangerous out here to let our Em be seen by people we don't want to contact us!

Everyone must be out enjoying the wonderful Fall weather, cause nobody is saying a word here!  We had a very nice Get-Together this past Sat.  It's always a surprise to see who walks in and always fun to visit with old friends we don't see very often.

For those who couldn't attend, here's some of what you missed. Some came a very long way to see us and others just haven't been here in awhile.  J.D. from the North(Wis) was there, along with Farmer Roe from DeKalb, Jimmy Martin, Fred Meier & his wife Patty, Cathy Wood Nickols & her husband Fred from Paradis and Vernon Moreland from Frost.  Of course all the rest of the gang that usually makes it, except we did miss Charles Moss and Karen & Mike Davis. But it was good to see quite a few faces we don't normally see.

Thanks to everyone who came and I'll work on getting the great pics Shortcake took posted to our site!

I do not think you should use violence for anything...but I still do not think we have ever gotten the story on what happen in the elevator. When the film started she was rushing at him and his arm came up. Obviously he should not hit her but she was obviously as involved in the argument as he was and married him two weeks later.
When I worked at the pd there were a lot of times the guys would make what appeared to be abuse calls to find out that yes they were abused but the spouse was as involved in putting the the abuser over the edge as the abuser was. That, by no means is always the case. I just think the public needs to back off and let people that are trained deal with it. Like you said Linda stop it at the start in the families.
