Hey, you former T.L. Marsalis students. Last week, on the news, was a story about a Marsalis student who plays the piano. It showed him playing in the auditorium. Talk about emotions! All I could think of was how many times I played the piano in that same auditorium. . .along with wonderful memories and beautiful friends I made during my one year (7th grade) at that school. I had so much fun playing the piano back then. I studied under two of the best teachers in Dallas, and was playing on a college level while in the 7th geade. (Enough bragging!) That news story made me wish some of us could walk through that school again. Wonder whatever has bwcome of the principal, Mr. Thomas?

Thanks, Sammy!
Hey! Connie and I loved seeing your new home by the lake. Absolutely beautiful. I would love living in a quaint house like that! Always a good time when we can get with the Fuentes and Smith families!

Thank you KRL for the info.  I know Ms Hess has been a very private person and I agree, we should not spread rumors or gossip as this is not what she wanted.  But if you knew her as a teacher or knew her husband, Robert Hughes from SOC, sending a card to KRL's address in C/O Mr. Hughes would be a nice thing to do.  Prayers for Robert Hughes and all of her family.

I am putting the following on GB only and not on FB and would appreciate it if you would, for the time being, not discuss on FB.
It is with extreme sadness that I tell you that Peggy Hess passed away this past week. Without going into details she had a stroke about a month ago and we were hoping for a full recovery. But unfortunately that did not happen. According to her wishes the family is having a private service. She is survived by her husband, Bob Hughes and by her brother, Dr Hess from Houston.
Her husband appreciates prayers but at this time prefers not to receive calls etc. As in the past, if you want to send cards you are welcome to send them through me and I will see that he gets them.
The reason I am letting you guys know now is because one of the other class members has heard about this and is calling people. I cannot do anything about them but I can ask our class to please respect the families wishes.

Since many of us have G-kids, maybe you've seen Paw Patrol?  I've received the most adorable pic of the Marshall on Paw Patrol and posted it on our Pride & Joy pg.  You can't help but smile when you see it!  [smile]

Another thought this mrng . . .  In less than two yrs we will have had our 50th Class Reunion.  Now that's a sobering thought!

In the past I rooted for the Giants because they were my Grandfather's favorite but this year I was pulling for the Royals. There is always next year, someone needs to show the Giants how to loose in 4 games.

I know how you're feeling Carol.  We felt it twice in a row when the Rangers went to the WS and lost both times.  The 2nd times was so heart-wrenching that to this day it hurts when I talk about it. Don & I were depressed for weeks after it was all over.  All Cruz had to do was catch the fly ball to right field . . .  [frown] [rolleyes]   But alas, in late February it starts all over again and along with it dreams of a going to the Big Show!!!  You guys should hold your head up proud and still be celebrating for such an outstanding performance!!  Love to you in KC!!!

I have no idea what's going on with our website!  I clicked on it and it finally came up but it's all screwed up.  Now it's affecting the photos on our GB bec that's where I pull the images from, our site.  You can still post on the GB by clicking the "X" rather than the image that's normally there.

I'll contact them, but hopefully it will get back into alignment soon.
