Place: 30 yrs & going strong!! Comments: Don't know what I did but it flipped and posted . . . I wasn't ready! OK, true story. 30 yrs ago today Don & I both took today off from work (AT&T). It was a Friday, Valentine's Day, and Monday was a holiday. I recvd a call about this time of day from the closer at a Title Co telling me she had tried to reach Don but he wasn't home. She had good news for us . . . our loan was approved and we got the house! (we had been looking for a house as we had decided to get married & was told it would take 3-4 weeks. Back in 1985 it took a long time to close). This closed in 1 week! She ask if we could come close today? I said No not possible. The reason you couldn't get Don is he is on his way over here to pick me up & we're headed to the church to get married! ![[love]](/images/boards/smilies/love.gif "Love - :love:") Then she ask if we could come over after the wedding!! NO! But agreed to come in tmo, Saturday, & close. Yep been married 30 yrs today!! Lived in that house for 17 yrs.

Place: Richardson Comments: Barb, so nice of you to offer, but we're good to go. Just come and have fun! Although, you may want to bring your bottle of KJ as I know how particular you are about your wine. We will have a pretty good variety of liquors and of course Cold Beer. But, I know some of you are very particular about your drink & if it's something not common, feel free to bring your "brown bag" as there is no cover charge at the door! I look forward to seeing a lot of you on 3-28 and we'll make a party out of it!!! Please let me know if you would like some good directions to my home!

Place: Mini Update!!! Comments: Ok, here are the details of the upcoming Mini on 3-28-15. Date: Saturday, March 28, 2015 Time: 2:00 to 6:00pm Place: Don & Sandy's house - 2801 Ashbury Dr., Richardson, TX. 75082 There will be plenty of ice tea, coffee, cold beer and various brands of liquor (Jack, Weller's, Vodka, Scotch, Bourbon, etc.) and some mixers. We'll also have hot & cold hors d'oeuvre, chips & dips and, of course, desserts! Many of you have been to my house before, but for anyone who needs directions, contact me and I'll give you custom directions from wherever you're coming from!

Place: Spring Mini Announcement Comments: Our SOC '66 & Friends Mini Get-Together is going to be Saturday, March 28, 2015. Start making plans to attend! It will be the usual time of 2:00 to 6:00pm. However, there's going to be a lot of interesting details you don't want to miss!! Will post full details by Friday, 2-13. Stay tuned, but circle your calendar for 3-28.

Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Our 16 years here finally caught up with us last night.....I hit a deer coming home from dinner. Knew it was probably a matter of time ...we see about 50 a year and usually are able to avoid them. These came out of nowhere ....missed the biggest one and got the second just as she started in front of me. We are ok but the car is going in for repairs Monday! More later.
Place: 66 Wisconsin Comments: Hi guys...it appears that everyone is talking up a storm. Rick I reviewed back to the day you asked me about our weather. To be honest...not bad. Just had 22 inches dumped on us last week...but nothing like the east coast. We leave for Scottsdale on the 24th of Feb. Can't wait...staying the month of March. All is well, grandsons growing like weeds and just a lot more fun than picking them (weeds). Kathy finally retired in December and we are both having a time making it work. This is the most time we have been together, almost our entire married life (45 yrs). Hope all is well with everyone and look forward to seeing you guys next year if the good Lord allows me that much more time. If anyone coming to the Phoenix area in March...call us on my cell phone...Kathy said she's buying. |
