Place: Richardson Comments: TNX Gary for letting us know about Dane. I didn't know Joe Bob, but sorry to hear about his passing. Sandra - I read it twice and blew it off because I didn't get it. After your post I went back and read it again and then started laughing. Dale can slip in a goody when you least expect it.
Place: Cypress springs Comments: Don't know why it deleted my name...I did type it in. Maybe it does not like it.
Place: Bowie County,Tx Comments: So sorry to hear about Joe Bob, he was 6'3 in Jr.Hi Sc quite a Basketball player. Thanks for sharing Gary.
Place: Here-a-bouts Comments: Sandra, Sorry. It is this curse I've got.
Place: Mansfield, Tx Comments: I wanted to inform everyone that Dane Thornton had open heart surgery recently in Plano, and I don't know hospital or details. As of a few days ago, no visitors were allowed. Also, Joe Bob McGinnis, who attended Zumwalt, was a great basketball player, and who was currently a pastor, passed away last week.
Place: DS Comments: Dale, I had to read that three time before I got it ![]()
Place: Sachse Comments: Say, Shortcake, at least I still remember to put my name in the space provided. I know everyone will think it is just an excuse, but it is this new keyboard. It has a crappy feel to it. Sometimes I press a key and it doesn't show up; other times it shows up twice. I'd go back to the old one but this computer only has USB ports, no DIN ports. Dale, I need help spelling in English, forget Spanish. Never was good at spelling like you and Tallcake. From my experience there are Esso Bees in every organization. I'll take your word on the story. We bought our gas at the Humble station at Lancaster-Kiest.
Place: Der von Grosvenor Comments: BTW, Jack. When we lived in Oak Cliff there was an Esso station on the corner of loop 12 and Lancaster rd. Across the corner was a Shell station. One day I stopped to fill up at the Shell and noticed a commotion and saw there was a swarm of bees on one of the gas pumps. It was a sight but I noticed there were a few bees that had flown over and landed on the Esso pump. I guess that proves that in every big organization there are a few Esso bees.
Place: The Lazy S ranch Comments: Naw Jack, I was just showing you how to spell "socks" in Spanish. Place: Cypress Springs Comments: Hey Jack - from looking at your posts I would say you are getting old and forgetting how to spell your own name! You know that they have brain games to help you remember things better! Hope everyone had a great 4th. We did...even got to go out on the boat with Mom for a little while. Hopefully we can keep her well for a while now. Glad you had fun with the girls SNL. They sure grow up fast. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Place: Sachse Comments: Dale, it isn't Esso anymore. They changed to Exxon now
Place: El Grosvenor Comments: Esso? Si, Que es?
Place: Richardson Comments: Based on your last post Jack, I think you've used up all your discretionary income! ![]() The heavy rain is missing us but out west it's flooding. Abilene has already had several high water rescues. Looks like we're in for a typical Texas summer from here on out . . . hot and dry!
Place: Sachse Comments: Just saw where 2 were gored at the 1st running of the bulls this year. Hope John Southworth is not one of them. I know he always want to try that. Dale, something doesn't compute. You went to Belize for vacation and now you are "staying out of the heat"?? If only your fish were as big as your story you could have the class over for a fish fry! To paraphrase Si, Hey, vowels ain't free. You gotta buy them."
Place: Out West Comments: SNL, We went on a cruise last week to Mahogany Bay , Belize and Cozumel but other than that its just stay in out of the heat. I did go fishing at Lake Ivy last weekend and caught a stringer of bass that were so big it only took 8 of them to make a dozen. A picture of the catch weighed four and a half pounds. The shadow of the biggest lunker weighed a pound and three quarters but that's about it for the Smileys. |
