Place: Richardson Comments: KMD - Sounds like a great vac to me! Have a wonderful time! You know, having a little "free" entertainment by the locals isn't a bad idea. Only problem . . . these guys feed off of innocent statements by others and then they just feed off each other. Ok, who wants to be the innocent person giving them ample opportunity to throw out the zingers!! ![]() Seriously, you've given me a great idea!! my cohart and I did this at one of our Region Sales meetings waaaay back when I worked for SWBell. Not telling what we did bec as always, I like to have some surprises at the reunion. But it got some big laughs. I may need to discuss this with the boys.
Place: Sachse Comments: Jack, I never ignore you. I'm just being nice. I don't even care about being a spelling queen any more. Dale can be the queen if he wants. Getting older has mellowed me. However I am looking forward to a fun vacation with all the kids and grandkids and great grandkid starting tomorrow. I will be spending 9 days between Galveston, Corpus Christi and Rockport. Mike is not coming along on this one so he can retire in December instead of January (saving his vacay days to retire faster). We have lots of activities planned plus lots of relaxation too. Hopefully Mike can figure out how to run the washing machine and dishwasher while I'm gone for when he runs out of underwear and dishes.
Place: Garland USA (for just a little longer) Comments: Wow...just let me start packing and everyone comes out of the woodwork! Yes, we did sell our house and yes we are moving just north of McKinney to Melissa. I'm not sure how this city girl is going to survive in a one-horse town but after enduring the wrath of our neighbors, we're sure willing to give it a try! So sorry to hear about Joe Bob McGinnis. I do remember him! Sure hope Dane Thornton is on the mend very soon. Thanks for the update Gary D! SNL, I think you should have a floor show starring Jack Hawkins, Sam Smith and Dale Smiley at the 50th. After all, Prof. Smiley does provide a great deal of material to Bob for his hilarious performances! What entertainment that threesome would be!! Okay, back to packing...
Place: Sachse Comments: Rick, it was he keyboard's fault! KMD has so many AKAs, I think she can't keep up. Either that or she is ignoring me as usual. You know she claims the title of spelling Queen, but Dale says he is. so it didn't surprise me that he caught my keyboard's mistake. It sounded like Gary, didn't it? Rick, FYI, got the radio back, installed in the cabinet and enjoying it. Can't find The Lone Ranger or The Shadow on any of the stations. Your post almost always give us things to think about!
Place: big d Comments: Jack, How could anyone misspell their own name ?
Place: Richardson Comments: In case you haven't looked at he Pride & Joy pg. lately, I am no longer accepting photos of our Grandones. I made a note on the pg, but it comes down to lack of interest. it's mid-July and I've recvd one Grandone photo for the year. I attribute it to FB and people getting tired of the same old stuff. I did leave the last two years of albums up and they will stay for the rest of the year. NOTE: Next year is our 50th reunion year. I will begin posting info regarding the reunion as soon as I sign a contract for the location. Should have a loc by Sept. It would be good if everyone would at least check the GB and EVENTS pg ever so often so you will know what's happening with the class of '66 & the upcoming reunion.
Place: 66erville Comments: Congrats, Ronney. Best start practicing walking down the aisle. Sounds like you are gaining a son and TCU sports tickets!
Place: DeSoto TX Comments: Thank you Sandy for posting our upcoming reunion information. We would love to see those of you that shared the halls with us at SOC if our Seniors did not give you too much trouble back in the day. BTW - dress is just casual - perhaps like Sunday or back in the days we shared the halls at SOC. Nothing fancy but not necessarily overly casual. Hope to see some of your smiling faces soon.
Place: Hot * Dry Richardson Comments: Congratulations to Katie on her engagement and upcoming wedding. Life is good isn't it Ronney!
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Great news today. Our daughter, Katie, got engaged. Her fiance is Matt Hoover, the Assistant Director of Media Relations for Texas Christian University's Athletics department. Wedding date not yet set.
Place: Richardson Comments: I recently recvd an email from two of the SOC '65's reunion organizers. They asked me if I'd post at note about their reunion on our GB & site. They also included an invite pg and registration form. I have put the information on our Events pg. If anyone is interested in attending the Class of '65's 50th reunion, go to our Events pg and click on the wording to see the info. P.S. I just recvd this info via email on the afternoon of 7-9.
Place: West Tawakoni Comments: Prayers go out to Dane and the family. Get well soon Dane. Please say a prayer for my sister-in-law Karen Smith. She was rushed to the Plano Medical Center. The doctors seem to think it is a mild stroke. Lots of tests to run to determine the cause of her total numbness on her right side. Thanks, Sam
Place: Sachse Comments: Praying for a great outcome for Dane. He's a great guy and a real trooper. Get well quickly Dane.
Place: DeKalb,Tx Comments: Great news about Dane, he is a fighter prays & wishes for a speedy recovery.
Place: Richardson Comments: I spoke with Janet Hohhertz this morning regarding Dane Thornton. Dane is married to Janet's younger sister, Debbie. Janet said Dane had quadruple heart surgery on 7-7 and is doing good. He's still in ICU & no visitors but, talking and breathing much better now. Prayers for Debbie & Dane and for a speedy recovery. |
