We held off gng to the Zoo until tda bec it was supposed to be a little cooler.  Don't be fooled . . .  96 vs 106 . . .  not really that much better!!  It was hotter than heck!!

But the Dino exhibit was great and we had fun for 3 hrs & 35 min and called it quits.  Another great day with the boys!! [biggrin]

Man it's HOT outside!!  After the movie we went to Pinstack Entertainment Center in Plano for several hrs.  Car parked in sun.  It was so hot it took all the way home before it started to cool down.  Hope this darn heat breaks soon!

Thurs when driving back from Dripping Springs with the boys we stopped in Waco to visit the Waco Mammoth Site.  It's not far off of I35.  Great site and we all loved learning about the Colombian Mammoths that lived in the Waco area about 50K years ago.

Fri evening we went to Hawaiian Falls Fri Night Slides.  It was great!!  It was so much fun (especially with the sun gone) and the boys loved it.

Tomorrow is movie, then Pinstack Entertainment Ctr. Anything inside!

WE left at 7:00am yesterday to head down to Dripping Springs & PU the 2 boys.  Traffic was good until we hit Austin!  Usual trip about 3 hrs 45 min . . .  took 4 and a half!  Got home about 6:00ish.

This mrng I took them swimming at 8:30 and tonight we're gng to Friday Night Slides at Hawaiian Falls.  Due to this awful heat we'll be gng out early/late and gng to indoor entertainment centers.  The new Pinstack in Plano is great.  Lots of things for all of us to do and it's cool inside!

Jack, I only WISH Mike and I had those seats at the Rangers game (except when it's 104 degrees outside). We haven't made it to a Rangers game yet this year, but when we go we always go for the shaded seats up and on the right of the field.

I had a wonderful time on vacation with family filling every day with fun and activities. Came back needing a vacation from my vacation (exhausted). I highly recommend Moody Gardens in Galveston for all the diverse things to see and do there.

Was so sad for Janie Gann in the loss of her husband Steve, but know he's now whole again and watching over her. Also sad for Rod in the loss of his sister. I pray for God's comfort and healing for all the families.

I don't remember that couple Jack, but there was another couple and the guy had on a red Ranger's shirt and she had on a white Strohs jersey! Haven't seen one of those around in a long time.  She also had long blonde hair.  They were almost directly behind the batter's box and only about 4-5 rows up.

I'm so happy for Beltre!!  He works hard all the time and never complains, even when he has a hurt thumb.  Hitting the cycle at age 36 . . .  very impressive!

While watching the Ranger's game last night, I noticed a blonde lady in a white Ranger's jersey, sitting with a guy in a red Ranger's shirt and hat. They were setting about 6 or 8 rows up behind home plate. They were just out of focus. Looked a lot like Karen and Mike Davis. Late in the game, got a clear look and saw the guy had a small white beard and it was not Karen either. but for quiet a while I kept wondering how they got those great seats.

SNL, yep, Von and I walk early and then nap. I liked this ending better than "beat me half to death" or the many endings that go with this old story.

Well, that was definitely a different take on an old joke.  Must be too hot for you to be outdoors!  [wink]

so this guy is walking along the beach and spots an old jug and picks it up. As he brushes off the sand a genie appears. (sound familiar?) The genie says "yeah, you get three wishes but there have been a coupla changes in how we do it. First you have to pick a category of people and secondly whatever you wish for, that group will get the same thing , only doubled." what's your first group?  The guy says "teachers". The genie says "and your request?" Guy says "$10,000,000.'  Genie says "OK, but the teachers get $20,000,000. Next group?  Guy says "retired military'. and I want a 5,000 sq. ft. home with no mortgage and the taxes and insurance paid for my lifetime. Genie says "done, but those military folks get two of those."  Guy says "They have earned it"  and for my last wish I pick lawyers and I wish to donate a kidney.

I'm really sorry to read about Steve.  Janie's post last year describing Steve's condition was heart wrenching.  What a beautiful couple they were.  I can't remember Steve, or Janie, without big smiles on their faces all the time.

Jack, I'm glad the radio is finished and working.

I'll bet you have so much money in it that you can't sell it. Not that you would want to.
I hope my part of the refurb still looks good.

I am so sorry to hear about Steve. My prayers are with your family Janie. Alzheimer's shouldn't take anyone that young.
