Place: Sachse Comments: So sorry to hear about the passing of James Burge. James was in ROTC with me. Nice guy gone too soon. Rest in peace, James.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Rod, would you e-mail me that sweet potato casserole recipe?
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: We have lost another classmate. I read on Facebook, this morning, that James Burge has passed away. I think he died November 27 (or there abouts). His funeral was to be today (Dec. 1), I believe in Missouri. Needless to say, I was shocked. James and I became friends the first day of the 1st grade. James, Donald Millican, and I were 3 peas in a pod all the way through the 12th grade. Our friendship has been through Facebook in these past few years. I am deeply saddened by James' passing. He was a good man and served in the military for many years. I knew, when we were in the 1st grade, that he would work in the military, as military was his passion even back then.
Place: Oregun Comments: Sandy, we made up 3 large batches of your Sweet Potato casserole and still did not have any leftovers, had to make up another for ourselves Friday. Five adults and the two Grandsons ate it all. We had leftovers of everything else but your recipe is a major hit every year. Seems like everyone had a good Thanksgiving and that's the way it should be.
Place: Richardson Comments: Too much turkey, dressing, pie, sweet potato casserole and coffee. Woke up this morning still full from yesterday! Rain rain go away, don't come back for several days!! Breckinridge Park is again under water and the creek has over-flowed across Brand Rd just outside our addition. A man drowned there this morning because it was still dark and he drove into the water. they didn't get to him in time. he was only 29 with a family and was headed to work. Please pay attention to the roads and low areas because 4 people in the DFW area have drowned in less than 24 hours.
Place: bigD Comments: Happy Thanksgiving to all. Did anyone eat too much turkey?
Place: Carthage, TX Comments: Had a great visit this past Tuesday with Mike Jacks. He was in town for Thanksgiving with his sister, Lynette and we got together for lunch and some catching up on life, etc. mostly etc.
Place: Wylie Comments: Happy Thanksgiving everyone's! Hope everyone has a safe and happy turkey day!
Place: Richardson Comments: Richard, I always eat as much Sweet Potato Casserole as I do Cornbread Dressing. Followed-up by equal amounts of Pumpkin and Chess pie! Have a safe and good Thanksgiving!! Happy Thanksgiving to all the '66er gang . . .
Place: Calif. Comments: Happy Thanksgiving folks. Remember to balance your diet during this time. Equal parts dark chocolate and white chocolate.
Place: Oregon Comments: If she's carrying a step stool you had better 'Duck and cover'. If she's got a club in her hand you had better run !
Place: 66erville Comments: Not to worry, Rod. She can't reach that high.
Place: Oregon Comments: Karen, it won't be funny until you give out the 'Gibb's head slaps', that will be funny !
