Place: Richardson Comments: Sad news. Sally Taylor found an Obit for Linda Bollman Ellis. She passed away on 3-29-2009 but none of us knew until now. Thank you for sharing this info Sally. RIP Linda.
Place: Reunion Bound Comments: Well, 2 weeks from tonight we will be partying it up at the Hyatt. I'm excited and ready to go! In case you have questions about the Reunion Agenda such as attire, food, etc. please go to our website at www.soc1966.com and look at the 50th Reunion pg. I've listed the events and time for each day. There's also a menu. I hope this helps. See you soon!!!
Place: Old East Dallas Comments: Hello Grand SOC-ites, Its been a very long time. Listen, I'm going with the great word Grand here because, looking at your photos, I noticed that virtually all of you are Grand Parents (caps mine), and really fine ones. I mean being one myself,I recognize, right? So many great looking youngsters. A lot of love and hope there. And Grand also, for the good, if not wonderful, lives we've had. How blessed we've been.
Place: Reunion Central Comments: Yes Carol, it's fantastic to see so many names of those we haven't seen in so many years. In fact, due to the big surge in registrations in the past week, we are now at capacity for Saturday Night! We are SOLD OUT! There are a few seats available for Friday, but none for Saturday. Wow! I've received several calls and lots of emails this past week. Been really nice talking to some of you and looking forward to seeing everyone soon. FYI - Please Note - Don't forget about the Remembrance Program at 2:00pm Saturday. It will be held in the Richardson Room located on the 1st flr. It's on the same hallway as the Fitness gym. There's only one hallway on the 1st flr, you can't miss it. It will be approximately 30 minutes and is being presented by Jack Hawkins & Don Fugate.
Place: 66eerville Comments: Informational note: The Remembrance program, to remember our schoolmates who have gone to their reward, will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday in the Richardson room (a meeting room) at the hotel. As you pass through the lobby from the front door there is a hall on the right. The Richardson room is the first room on the left in the hall. The lobby restrooms are on the right at the beginning of the hall. The hall leads to the fitness room and the pool entrance.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Happy to see the names of the last-minute "signer uppers"! I have been holding my breath (figuratively, of course!) about Annette. So glad that she will be there for at least one night. It will be good to see Richard, too. It will be good to see so many - Daria Burns, David and Charlotte Walker, Linda Cash Najork, Terry Moxley - and the list goes on and on and on! We're going to have such a great reunion! Love to all - Carol
Place: Reunion Central Comments: Recvd' cks today for registration from Richard Phillips and Wayne Zablosky (Cl '63). Annette Forston Franjie sent ck yesterday and will be here for Saturday night! We are at Capacity for Saturday, but a few seats still available for Friday. Wow, this is exciting! Who knew so many would turn out. Be sure to read the 50th Reunion page and also check out the Who's Attending tab. It's a long list with lots of names we haven't heard from in years.
Place: Reunion Central Comments: Two weeks from today . . . it all begins! Reunion Time!! If you have questions, please review our 50th Reunion pg of the website. I've posted answers to all the many questions that are being asked. Also, if you're wondering if you are registered (yes, I've gotten that question too), just check the "Who's Attending " page. If your name isn't there, I haven't received a check from you and therefore, you aren't registered. I update the names every day after the mail comes. I've received many calls/emails asking "What to wear?" Here's a few suggestions, but remember, don't be overly concerned about what you wear, just come and enjoy yourself! Fri. is casual. Girls: Pants/Capris, blouse/shirt Guys: Slacks/Khakis/Jeans, polo/sports shirt. Sat. is a bit nicer. Girls: Nice pants/slacks with shirt/blouse or a dress/skirt & blouse. About half will wear a dress and other half pants. Wear what you fell comfortable in. Guys: Slacks/Khakis with sport shirt or dress shirt. No coats or ties! It's not "After 5" Attire.
Place: Richardson Comments: Aaaahh, fond memories of our 10th grade photos!! If you're lookin' for the "albino" look . . . Ada Ann is your person! I will always remember the look on my Mom's face when I took out the the big brush rollers. It was kinda like .Can't wait to see you!!!
Place: NH Comments: I would be happy to color anyone's hair....right, Sandy????
Place: cypress Springs Comments: I am with you SNL...will try it for mini but not for two or three day reunion. Although.....
Place: Denton Comments: Looking forward to seeing all of you. Did not get to attend many of the reunions. Will be great to see friends I went to school with; all the way back to elementary school. Fun memories of Dale and others. Also lots of fun carpooling to UTA with Booby and Bonnie Dove and others.
Place: Reunion Central - AKA Crazy House Comments: Shortcake - I won't do it for the reunion, but I'd like for all of us to do it for the next Get-Together. Especially if I can find the "temporary" color that I can wash out the next day or so. I think it would spice up our Mini. What are your thoughts? ![]() It started over the weekend and has continued thru today, classmates deciding at last minute they want to come to Reunion. Up until today I've been able to accommodate everyone. However, as of today, 9-8, we have a Full House on Saturday! We still have a few places open for Friday, but Saturday is Sold Out!
Place: cypress Springs Comments: Yep... We have a neighbor whose granddaughter did this. Just cannot understand it. I know it washes out in time but you have to look in the mirror in the meantime! Send me a picture if Glenda does it! lol
Place: Sachse Comments: Can't and won't speak for her, but I'll ask. Doubt she will go that route though. She, nor I, understand this fad. The three older grand-daughters are embracing it. I guess it is just another way of expressing yourself. I understand they use Kool-aid mix sometimes for the coloring and it washes out with no damage, Seems harmless....but still strange. |
